Camelot is nestled just across the street from the beach in the Cinnamon Beach community, part of the Ocean Hammock Resort. A family-friendly private beach with coquina-shell sands, lots of sharks' teeth, and sparkling water, it is paradise for all ages and tastes. Whether your bliss is beachcombing at dawn against the backdrop of the sunrise, splashing in the surf with the kids while the incoming tide fills the moats of your newly-built castles. Speaking of castles, you're going to have to leave your own castle to go to the beach and that will be tough.
There's simply so much to do in Camelot! You can stay outdoors all day, between the luxurious swimming pool (22`x12`), spa (fits up to 6), summer kitchen, & outside full bathroom, all located in the courtyard. Or you can remain inside, experiencing home theatre as you've never seen it before in our professionally-designed, custom-built room with leather theatre-style seating, a 100" projection screen, surround-sound, a Wii and Xbox 360, & sconce lighting. Or, if games are your passion, our 1st floor game room offers shuffleboard game, bistro seating for cards, bumper pool and board games, and a wall-mounted 50" TV! And there's always the 2nd floor living room, with its 56" HDTV with blu-ray as part of a complete entertainment center.

Our techno-savvy kitchen features tile floors, brand-new appliances including a wine cooler & 2 dishwashers, and the full complement of cookware, dishes, utensils, and gadgets for a huge crowd. There's plenty of room in here for several people to cook and serve, which is good because our custom made dining room table seats 20 (wow!).
Just as important as all the entertainment are the sleeping spaces, and everyone in your gang will get a great night's sleep at Camelot. We've taken care to make every bedroom welcoming, calm, and ultra-comfortable. There are 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms (1 handicapped equipped) on the ground floor, including 3 with king-size beds and HDTVs, and one with 2 queen beds and HDTV. Also crib, pak n play & high chair. All 7 full bathrooms are simply luxurious, the sort you'd expect from 5-star hotels.
The 2nd floor has 2 more bedrooms, 1 with a king-size bed and daybed, the other with a cheery child-friendly decor and double bed/bunkbeds that sleep 4. The villa is across the fenced in court-yard and accessed by exterior stairs. It features 800 sqft of space with a master suite including a king-size bed and daybed, 42" HDTV, kitchenette, 2 sofa sleepers in the living area & a 50" HDTV & Blue-Ray.
As guests of our Camelot Home you enjoy access to the exclusive facilities at Cinnamon Beach Club House which is 6 houses away. Kids & adults alike will go crazy for two large heated pools. One, a heated lap pool, is directly oceanfront and the 2nd, for kids, has a zero-slope entrance for paddling. Weird layout but great for big groups! A guest from Lemont, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2013 We had 5 families in Camelot. The house is unique with the layout. For example guest suite and home theater kind of seperate from the rest of house. Though rooms are smaller than pictures the house successfully accommodated our large group. The pool is small but again our kids aged 15 down to 4 enjoyed it. In fact we only used clubhouse pools for a few hours. The biggest complaint is the stupid set up of all the electronics in the house. A real pain but Vacation Rental Pros customer service second to none. They walked us through the electronics and even sent a guy out to help us. By end of trip we mastered the tricky elecrtronics. VRP's ALWAYS responded quickly to every question/issue. For example when pool was dirty from rain one phone call and the next day the guy came out an cleaned the pool. I have rented in Hilton Head and Now Palm Coast. Though Hilton Head house more elegant and on the ocean, we'd choose this house over it. Florida is just so beautiful and there is so much to do and see, but being on the Ocean and in this beautiful community called Cinnamon Beach, where the detail of everything green is trimmed to perfection is just breath taking, relaxing and peaceful.The time spent as siblings with our aging parents most likely will never be duplicated again. Cinnamon Beach or Bust A guest from Oberlin, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2012 What a lovely resort this is. We only spent the weekend and were on a "fact finding" mission to get "a feel" for this area and liked what we felt! The grounds of the gated community are impeccable and, because we were there 10 days before Christmas, largely deserted. When the fog rolled in on Saturday afternoon, it was a bit eerie walking around the gorgeous but mostly unoccupied homes. It was a little too cold to use the outdoor pools at the clubhouse and the cafe was closed. However, we did use the gym/exercise facility and found it to be very good. Camelot is a very nice and spacious house. Having only 2 in our party, we didn't need or use all those bedrooms. Having said that, we did check them out and found them to be well appointed. This applies to the suite above the garage, too. We didn't stay there but in our case, we'd have been perfectly happy staying there and, in truth, it would have been more than adequate. The description and pictures at the website represent this property well, from what we experienced. The beach was a 5 minute walk...if that. Same for the clubhouse. The only quibbles we had were the lock-box (very difficult to open when we arrived, probably due to salty "ocean air") and having to figure out the spa heater. We were able to work around these minor issues and enjoyed our short stay. Highly recommended. The Palm Coast Crew Renee D. from Lithonia, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2012 The property was smaller than we thought, one of the bedrooms was not large enough for 4 as stated the trundle could not be used due to the position of the king size bed, could not pull it out, made it difficult for the large crowd of 20 people. The kitchen was not equip to cook for 20, the tv and music instructions were not user friendly, the bathroom shower doors in 2 bathrooms came off, but we had a wonderful time, everyone enjoyed themselves even with the issues stated, if we return we would like a larger place and a beachfront property. I really like the private suite off to the side. This was outstanding for when you wanted to get away from the large group. Only problems was that who ever cleans does not clean and move things to get dirt. I found dirt under the couches when I move to find something I drop and dirt under our bed. besides that the pool, hottub, movie room, games rooms and kitchen was great!!! I would love to return to this house again. 2012 Family Reunion A guest from Lancaster, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2012 Despite a few minor bumps, our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Camelot House - so much so that prior to our departure, we reserved the house for our 2013 Reunion! The bumps included the accommodations in bedroom 5 not matching the on-line description and the operation of the entertainment systems being extremely complicated. (The property manager resolved both of these issues.) Our family gave the kitchen quite a workout. We were able to provide homemade meals for 18 nightly. (The cooks in the family would have liked a few more cookie trays and sharper knives.) We were very impressed with the the kitchen and dining facilities. There was ample room for the family to gather in the 2nd floor living area. The services provided at the club house, pools, and beach were excellent. The family would like to give special recognition to Bruce (Property Manager) and Debbie at VRP. They both went above and beyond to ensure that our stay met every one of our needs. Great Size and Location, But . . . A guest from Rock Island, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 Our family of 15 with 6 children ranging in age from 3 to 16 years had a great time at the Camelot home. We were disappointed with sheets that were stained and with pillows on beds that had no pillowcases on them. General cleaning was okay but not what we expected. We had to call for more towels and washcloths which were brought the next day. One of the two washers never worked. We had to call twice about the pool and it wasn't cleaned until Wednesday. The location and size of the house was wonderful. The community pools were clean, not too crowded, and fun for the little ones. The quiet pool was a relief for the adults and ocean access was spectacular! Over all, we had a good time. It is just that there are some very simple things that could be done to make this home at the top of anyone's list (like replacing stained sheets, having adequate numbers of towels, cases on all the pillows and kitchen towels actually in the kitchen and not in a bedroom closet). The checking in and email communication with the owner was very good. We rented this house and 2 condos to accommodate all of family. We had plenty of room to gather as a group or get away for privacy. The location was great for those who wanted to travel to Orlando and St. Augustine. The wifi was not working properly and the elevator was a bit of a challenge but this was my only complaint. The fact that almost every bedroom has its own bathroom, there is seating for 20 in the dining room, and a separate apartment for anyone that needs a little time away from the crowd makes this a perfect rental for a large group or family. They have thought of everything. It was the best equipped kitchen of any home we have ever rented. Tons of dishes and cooking instruments. The heated pool and spa were wonderful since the weather happened to be a bit cool that week. And of course having every imaginable piece of AV equipment was a big plus! Stayed for 5 days in July, 2010 We loved the condo. Lots of room and comfortable beds. A bit of a walk to the pools but after all the vacation goodies we needed the workout. The girls loved all the shells and treasures on the beach. It is a bit hard to find someone to ask a face to face question like how to get to the store during the week but thats what GPs are for. Over all we loved the quite beach and the views. We will for sure keep this one on our list of places to return to. Other reviews marked the beach down, but we found the 'crushed shell' composition (vs the Gulf sides' powdery sand) not an issue. Key for the beach is to go at low tide to be able to get past the small rock/reef that lines the shore. Our strategy was pool in morning, then head out to beach around 2 to play in the Sea at low tide and wander back to condo for dinner. Wonderful time! We LOVED our stay. The condo was perfect, clean and everything we had hoped for. Kennedy, Whatley and Tuttle Annual Beach Getaway 2009 Colleen T. from Hollywood, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2009 My family and I had a great time. This vacation is an annual event for us as we travel with a few other families all of which we have children ranging from 3-11 years of age. The kids had a wonderful time! It was great to be on the beach but we would have liked to have known how rocky the beach was as we were not aware of this until the kids went boogie boarding. We also took advantage of walking on the beach in the evenings to see all the crabs and to try to catch a glimpse of the nesting turtles which the kids really enjoyed! The accommodations were really nice and roomy. It had all the essentials that you needed to make the stay enjoyable. The other families and I took advantage of the location and went to St. Augustine. Since the location was so close to St. Augustine, we actually were able to visit the Oldest City twice during our week long stay. Thanks so much for a wonderful time! Stayed for 7 days in April, 2009 While the grounds are beautiful for sure, the beach is so rocky it is not possible to use with kids and this was a big problem since we were looking for a beach vacation. Also, there was no snack bar or food/drink options on the property which is some what of a issue since there were no options with in walking distance, another dispointment. This property has great potential, just seems like it was not planned perfectly. I would recommend but only after setting the correct expectations, which we clearly didn't have! Having said that the individual codo's are great, property is beautiful and the prices are very reasonable. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2009 The only thing we were not told or clear about was what to do with the passes for our vechiles. It wasnt explain at the gate. The security guard told us to keep passes on our vechiles and not on us when we are going in and out on our motorcyles. On our last day the Guard could not find our name on his list and told us to go get our passes and come back to the gate. I didnt think that was to professional, but everything was great. I will recommend you in the future. The disappointing thing was the master bedroom and the kids room. The sheets were not clean in either one of the rooms. When my wife and I went to bed the first night the sheets had sand all over them, fortunately there where another set of sheets and we changed them. After discovering our bed was full of sand we checked our daughters bed and hers was the same way. Kind of makes you wonder when you have a huge cleaning fee and you don't have clean sheets to sleep on!! |
