Our original reservation was for two weeks in March in another unit but we had a severely ill four-legged family member who was to make the trip with us. She couldn't travel and we were too afraid to leave her. Janet at Vacation Rental Pros suggested we move our date to April. She was so compassionate and we are so grateful for her guidance. After reading all the reviews on unit 523 and other comments, I was anxious to form my own opinion. The unit was very clean. Yes, there are stains on the bedroom carpet--but-it is a pet-friendly unit. There are plenty of linens and towels. The kitchen is beautiful with adequate pots, pans, plates, cups, mugs, small glasses and eating utensils. But there was only one dinner fork, so I bought and donated 6 forks, 6 knives, 6 spoons and 4 larger glasses. No big deal. We so enjoyed our stay at Cinnamon Beach and hope to do it again next year. FOUR WEEKS AT 523 CINNAMON BEACH WAY Dave and Glenna M. from Stittsville, ON recommends this property. Stayed for 28 days in March, 2012 Our time at this rental property can only be described as phenomenal.(of course the weather gods contributed significantly to this) The Unit was nicely located with its oceanfront view from a tastfully decorated and clean environment. Equally enjoyed during separate visits by our two children and their familes. Minor maintenance issues were experienced. First being the oven in the Unit which seems to require an add-on of +/-100 degrees for most recipes. Unsure if its the oven or the supply provided by Florida Power?? Other issue was the keyless lock system. When it ceased responding to code a call to VRPros resulted in a near immediate response at our door in the form of James(??property manager/maintenance) who quickly diagnosed the problem as battery related, secured and installed a new battery and we were back in business. Overall a memorable vacation. May be back next year. Better than advertised - great place to go A guest from Frankenmuth, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 29 days in February, 2012 It's wonderful when a place comes up to the advertisements. We arrived to a sparkling clean condo (house keeping really knows her job; very nice woman I met as we were getting ready to leave who does a fantastic job of making the place perfect for the next tenant). Also, every time I called the management company to ask a question or in one instance, get a mailbox key, they were ON it. Easy to reach, came through with every promise. They answer email and the phone at all hours. The location can't be beat. You're overlooking the ocean, steps from the beach, have a very nice clubhouse available, and Palm Coast is well located halfway between Daytona and St. Augustine. We stayed an entire month.The only gripe we had was the master bedroom mattress needs replaced. Too soft, probably too old. But the condo contains so many extras we didn't expect -- what a treat. We had grandchildren there who had a great time. And we had our old dog with us who had a great time. This is not a "senior citizens" place but it's fine for every age. We are over 60 but loved the fact we cold have kids and our dog with us. Lots of people had their dogs and none of them caused trouble (barking, messes). We cannot say enough. Security is excellent. There's just nothing bad here. I walked the dog at midnight, at 5:00 a.m., whenever, and never felt the least bit unsafe ever. I can't imagine who wouldn't like this place. It's in northern FL so don't expect warm swimming weather in February -- but we knew that and like the weather there. Kudos to everyone involved in this place. 523 Cinnamon Beach Kathy T. from Channing, MI does not recommend this property. Stayed for 30 days in January, 2012 When we checked in we received no info, maps or any idea when to find anything. We had no idea where the pools were located, walking trails, shopping, etc. The master bedroom was a disaster - nothing on the bed matched. The sheets were not deep-pocket although the mattress was, so every night they came loose. There are holes in the sheets and the blankets. It was really shabby! There were 2 small closets in the master but 1 was full of the owners stuff, so we had 1 small closet for all of our things. There were toys/shoes, etc under the couch and under the beds. The condo itself was nice and the view was great, the pools beautiful, but the general condition let a great deal to be desired - very disappointing!! Stayed for 5 days in March, 2011 The condo is in the middle of nowhere. There are very few restaurants around and not much to do besides the beach. We called to get a ceiling fan fixed (in one of the bedrooms) and got no help. We were told that sometimes the owners choose NOT to fix them when they break. Then one day my husband and I went out to Walmart and my 14 year old son stayed back at the condo. When we arrived home he informed us that while he was watching tv the door opened and in came a Realtor with potential customers! He said they didn't ring the bell or knock on the door! I was quite alarmed. I called Steve Milo who returned my call with an apology but it was still very unsettling. The sheets in the master do not fit the deep mattress and constantly come undone...very annoying. The towels are all mismatched, some with bleach stains on them. There was a 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper in one bathroom and no pitcher for making ice tea, etc. All of these things are not a big deal alone, but put together they sure are! The ten o'clock departure out of a 3 bedroom condo is quite difficult. You pay a cleaning fee and then you still have to strip the beds, do the towels and wash the sheets, empty all garbages, run the dishwasher and broom clean the place! At 9:10 am I was shocked when the door to our condo opened and I heard a woman's voice asking if we were leaving soon! What? I said at 10:00 am we will be and she stayed outside our door for a long time. When going to the car with some luggage, she yelled down from the upper stairway and told me to do the towels and sheets. I told her that the wash was going and then she complained about Saturday's and all the people coming in and out and how people don't do the towels, blah, blah, blah. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2011 The only fault we can find overall is the request to help when leaving as in stripping beds, running a load of wash and the dishwasher too. Maybe rethink this one as the property is expensive to rent and if you need extra done hire more staff to clean for the turnover to come on time. This is the only thing that will make us reconsider coming back. PALM PARADISE! We loved the spectacular view from the balcony. We have never seen so much wildlife on a beach vacation before-tu William S. W. from Baldwin, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2010 The condo needs a ceiling fan on the balcony because the morning sun was too hot to enjoy a morning cup of coffee outside. The lock on the sliding glass door needs to be repaired so that you don't have to struggle with putting in the pvc pipe each time you leave. Stayed for 28 days in January, 2010 We found the condo "spotless", did not get the key to the mailbox till it was too late to get our mail forwarded, therefore got two late fees...I had asked for a key 6 months prior to arrival, so it was a mixup and I do understand. The place was beautiful, unfortunately this Feb did not cooperate..but we enjoyed St. Augustine, and a few side trips...loved the farmer's market on Flagler Beach on Fridaysm and would recommend The Pier...Loved the European Village, all the restaurants there were great. Had a great time, just the weather was so cool...20 degrees below normal for Feb...not your fault, but the condo was perfect.... Stayed for 2 days in July, 2009 I lost my Dad the week before we came to stay, so, I was simply looking to have some peace and quiet before returning to work. Cinnamon Beach was way beyond what I had expected. Beautiful beach, beautiful accomodations and very friendly staff. We had a slight check-in day issue when we checked in, however, the operations staff quickly addressed the situation and had us taken care of in no time. I deal with customer satisfaction in my job and was very pleased and impressed at how the incident was handled. I have already reccomended Cinnamon Beach to several friends!
