Jorge G. from San Bruno, CA - California recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2016 This was my second time staying here and I couldn't be more happy. Everything about this cabin is perfect. Being able to walk to the lake and walk up to the cabin for lunch is priceless. Being on a dead end street it reduces the traffic and allows for privacy. I can't wait to stay here again.
Paulette K. from San Jose, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2015 House is very well equipped. The view of the sunset each night is incredible. Lots of character and very private setting. Not sure you will stay warm in this house in the winter.
Nancy L. from El Cerrito, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in July, 2015 Once again, we had a multi-generation vacation at our favorite cabin in Twain Harte. At this point, it feels like home! We play musical beds depending on who is going to be there when, but everyone always fits. Only complaint is the grill. Hopefully a new Weber will be there next year! Location is perfect and the view from the deck is sensational. Thanks again for a great time.
A guest from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2015 We had a great weekend at the cabin. It was comfortable and private, with a beautiful view. We ate many of our meals out on the spacious deck. The kitchen was very well equipped. Twain Harte is great little town with an amazing grocery store.
A guest from San ramon, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2015 While we were here, the lake was closed. Unfortunately, it was out of anyone's control. The cabin was stocked with games and movies, and there was a lot of things to do around Twain Harte. The cabin was great for my small family and our dog. We loved sitting on the deck and enjoyed the view. It was a great time.
A guest from Sacramento, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2014 Overall our stay was fine. We were very disappointed that the lake is closed and will be indefinitely. It would be nice if there was more channels on the TV. Another suggestion is to add another garbage can.(I suggested this last year). Also, when the kids were exploring the property about 15-20 ft from the back of the house was a carcass of what appeared to be a large bird with feathers everywhere. It was quite disturbing! As a last note...for the amount charged for (3) nights, I don't think we should be responsible for replenishing the toilet paper used.
Jorge G. from San Bruno, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2014 This was one of the best cabins we have rented in awhile. The view from the deck is amazing. Being able to walk back and forth from the lake is great especially if you want to just have lunch. The cabin is spacious however we spent most of our time on the large deck. If you go exploring in the backyard you will find a nice hiking trail. I can't wait to come back.
Nancy L. from El Cerrito, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in July, 2014 For years, we have been renting Lakeside 25 for a four-generation summer vacation. Our grandchildren call it "our tradition." The location is perfect--easy access for the elderly, wonderful outside areas, plenty of bedrooms. If I would recommend any changes, it would be new bed(s) in the loft and a better grill. Otherwise, perfect!
A guest from Milpitas, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2013 This place was a great find! My husband and I met our daughter and 4 grandchildren at this cabin and we all had a wonderful time! Very close walking distance to the lake! The kitchen was well stocked with all that you would need for cooking your meals.
Nancy L. from El Cerrito, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in July, 2013 The cabin is wonderful for our family reunion. The deck provides seating for everyone. The great room is comfortable and spacious. There are plenty of bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and the PERFECT location!
A guest from Alexandria, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2012 Location was great, cabin was very short walk to lake and had great views & deck. Cabin was very rustic: doors didn't close easily, super old carpet, no working DVD player (only VHS), knotholes in pine walls of bathroom (drove my preteen daughter crazy for lack of privacy), refrigerator didn't stay consistently cold, cabin was a bit cluttered. This cabin was fine if you're looking for a "campy" experience and our families & kids had lots of fun here.
Grace W. from Berkeley, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2012 The best thing about the property is its proximity to the Lake. When we arrived, the house was terribly hot - it took a long time to cool it off. I found the house fairly inconvenient, but everyone else in my group liked it just fine.
A guest from Denton, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2012 Our trip was great and everything was as we expected. My only comment is that the description of the cabin should include wireless access. We found it by looking in in the guest book.
Nancy L. from El Cerrito, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in July, 2012 Loved Twain Harte, loved our cabin, loved our family vacation. Could not have asked for a better place to gather with the extended family. Everything was perfect, even the weather.
Robert D. from Menlo Park, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in August, 2011 Previous guests left the recycle bin full of trash, so it wasn't picked up. I complained to the property management company and they said they'd get someone to sort it, but eventually my wife and I had to dig through and separate all of it. Not the best part of the vacation.
Shellie T. from Livermore, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2011 A very comfortable cabin feel, plenty of room & very clean! The Best part, the neighbor behind you lets you walk down their driveway to the lake!
Andrea H. from Healdsburg, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2011 Lakeside 25 had a great location with a nice deck and lots of rooms/sleeping areas. But, the exposed wiring and things that were broken or not operating, such as the fan in the living room and fridge leaking water on the floor and general dirt, including an old plastic baby bottle with milk still in it under my bed! The house needs some finish work and repairs. My cousins were in the By The Lake 3 cabin which had a much nicer feel to it - clean and finished.
Nancy L. from El Cerrito, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in July, 2011 This is our annual family reunion/vacation. There is something for everyone in Twain Harte and the cabin is perfect for our group, aged 7 to 90!
Lisa H. from Mill Valley, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2011 The property was a bit more of a "cabin" than I was expecting, but we enjoyed our time there and loved the location.
Nancy L. from El Cerrito, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in July, 2010 The cabin was a great gathering place for the family ranging in age from 6 to 88. It was close to the lake, near enough to town to walk, beautiful views, comfortable bedrooms, and wonderful deck. Kitchen was well equipped. Living room was perfect for evenings playing games and watching videos. We're returning next year, for sure.
Great rustic accommodations (i.e. charm) with all the modern conveniences!
A guest from Berkeley, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2010 Absolutely love this rental house. I could spend hours on the deck and in the screened kitchen nook. The way the house opens to airflow on both sides made it extremely comfortable temperature wise and the swamp cooler was very effective in cooling the place down during those high afternoon temps. We will definitely be back.
Susan B. from Grants Pass, Oregon recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2009 Pro: cabin location rental agency weather Twain Harte Lake area etc., etc.Con: entrance fee for Twain Harte Lake is high Linen Policy is a little inconvenient for people coming from a long distance
Wendy or Michael P. from Walnut Creek, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 14 days in August, 2008 While the property we stayed in was fine, this is the first year I have been disappointed in the low customer service that THVR offered to me. (We have been staying in THVR cabins for approx. 15 years-since my daughter was a toddler). Upon check in, Margie came out of her office and didn't even recognize me or say hello-I just got a cold stare. When I asked about the Pinecrest amphitheater movie schedule I was abruptly told to go outside and look at the schedule pinned to the wall. What bothered me most was when I called the office to report that there were no more blue bags for recycling I was told to go over the the Chamber and pick them up myself. Apparently, the office didn't keep a supply and wasn't willing to bring some to me; I would think recycling bags are a part of a well-stocked cabin. I am paying thousands of dollars each summer to rent a cabin and I expect more customer service than this. There are other options for rentals in the TH area. I will definitely weigh my experiences this summer before I rent the next time.
Monte P. from Redlands, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2008 Excellent cabin and lots of fun amenities (games, grill, stuff for the lake, etc.) Weather was perfect and we had a wonderful time.
