The Waikiki Banyan is very popular as a moderately priced family resort 1 block to Waikiki Beach, Kapiolani Park and Honolulu Zoo. Fantastic amenities with a huge swimming pool, 2 Jacuzzis, tennis courts, basketball courts, a playground for the little tykes, coin operated BBQs, a putting green for the golfers and even a fitness area for the athletic at heart. There is also a small snack shop for those quick bites to eat while you enjoy all these vast amenities. There are laundry facilities on each floor, a convenience store in the lobby, along with a great little coffee shop and Internet cafe all in Tower #1 on the ground floor. The Bus stop is also directly adjacent to the property.
We have several units available at the Waikiki Banyan. Starting from the top, the Penthouse level one bedroom/one bath units with stunning ocean views toward Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head. Our mountain view units are similarly appointed with equally stunning views of our mountains and twinkling starlight.
A perfect location for your next holiday and a fantastic building that you will want to return to year after year!

Outdated unit in great location
A guest from Arlington, Virginia does not recommend this property. Stayed for 21 days in September, 2016 This condo has a beautiful view and the building is in a convenient Waikiki location. However this condo has been sorely neglected and poorly maintained. Overall it needs updating : appliances, fixtures, furniture, furnishings, dishes, etc. it also needs a thorough refresh painting, carpets, etc. and a deep cleaning. It is adequate for a short vacation but is not a luxury accommodation.
Reviewed by: Melanie S. recommends this property. Stayed for 12 days in February, 2016 This is our 5th time staying with Hawaiian Paradise Retreats. Our 3rd time in this condo. We love it! It's a super location for our family. We are comfortable there. The condo has everything we need. The company and their staff have always been good to us. The addition of the ceiling fans is fantastic. It's nice to have them to cool down the condo versus always needing the air conditioner. It would be nice if a few things were updated. Side of the fridge looks very aged although the the fridge works fine. It would be nice for the condo to have a vacuum to better clean the rug in the living room area. The sofa bed in the living room has been changed but it's more likely better for a single sleeper than for 2 people. These few updates won't stop us from booking there again, it would just make the condo that much more special. Mahalo...we'll see you again soon. ??
Reviewed by: Brenda G. does not recommend this property. Stayed for 14 days in January, 2016 We were very disappointed in the condition of this property. The price has gone up since we stayed there in 2012, but it is in worse shape. It has an exceptional view and is beautifully decorated, but the condition is deteriorating. Now the curtains have big holes in them, it needs a good cleaning and painting, the kitchen tap leaks, the fridge froze most of our food, and the air conditioning does not work properly. This picture is also deceiving because that sofa has been replaced with an uncomfortable futon. There now is a memory foam on the bed so that was great. Love this property, but very disappointed that it has not been better maintained.
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in January, 2015 We were very satisfied with the condo. Only suggestion would be to inventory the supplies. There were no steak knives or baking pans. The kitchen needs more supplies such as basics like more knives, spoons, forks, pans with lids that fit, a casserole dish, cookie/baking sheet, cheese grater, bottle opener. On arrival the curtains had many tears, we notified the manager right away, they said they knew about them and were on order. This didn't affect our visit at all and overall we were very satisfied. We met many nice people at the pool/BBQ deck each day and would return to 3804 again.
Brian S. from Taloma, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 12 days in December, 2014 Another great experience with Hawaiian Paradise Retreats. Great location and facility. Condo was good and comfortable. Time for new drapes and could use paint in the bed/bath, but well worth the price.
A guest from San Jose, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2014 The Management Company was very helpful. They made sure our few minor unit related glitches were righted ASAP. My only real complaint about the management is that we were not told ahead of time that we would have a parking PASS, so we paid for a week of parking - which the parking administration would not refund. As far as the actual unit goes, it was nice, with a GREAT view. However the AC was overworked/underpowered, and some of the kitchenware was in bad shape (extremely dull knives!!) - neither of which seriously impacted our trip!
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2014 Great place! The air conditioner was not working the last 2 days. This happened the last time we stayed 2 yrs ago. Need to replace for new one. Last time we stayed, there were boogie boards for guests to use but not this time. Need more towels. Other than that, great place.
Reviewed by: Steve C. does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2014 Great location, but the place left a lot to desire in terms of general condition (extremely dated). A/C unit exhausts directly onto the lanai, so very noisy.
A guest from Walnut creek, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2014 Enjoy the location and view very much. Convenient to have a kitchen. The apartment could be benefit from some cleaning though. Just like what the previous reviewer said dust around the footings, kitchen cabinet is smelly, mildew (blacken seal) around the sink and faucet. We stayed 7 nights. There were only 2 tiny soap pieces and shampoo bottle were supplied. If the apartment could be given some attention to a bit more detail, it will go along way.
Melanie S. from Dewberry, Alberta recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in February, 2014 My family has stayed with hawaiian paradise retreats for 4 years in a row now. We really enjoy our stay with you. Although this is our 4th year it was our 1st time staying in suite 3804. We found the unit quieter than 3802 which was nice. Overall the staff is helpful. It was our 2nd time almost being locked out of our unit due to the battery dying on the electric door lock. It may be something to consider at changing the batteries on a routine basis rather than waiting for it to die and have people locked out. The suite had almost everything we needed for our 2 week stay. It was our first time traveling with our 8 month old son and it may be something to consider to have a high chair available to guests should they happen to need it. We made due though. In terms of cleanliness, I was a bit disappointed. I found that I was sweeping up huge dust balls from under furniture which means it wasn't thoroughly cleaned in the past while. I would have vacuumed but the vacuum didn't work. Again, we made due. All that being said, it's not a deal breaker for our family. I'm sure we will be back as we like the the staff who helps us, the amazing view and the location.

Laurie H. from Gilbert, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in October, 2013 Second rental experience with Hawaiian Paradise Retreats, Gloria is the best! This unit was clean and well furnished (last year furniture too big for unit). In general the unit in good condition; however, microwave not in good working order but did finally come on to heat food 1 time, cabinet door above refrig needs to be repaired and toilet paper holder is broken. Come prepared as there was only 1 small extra roll of TP in bathroom and we ran out on last day.

Reviewed by: Ken and Tracy M. recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2013 We had a very enjoyable vacation. The property was nice with no major issues. There were a few minor items but nothing that really detracted from our overall experience. A few of the lights did not work and some of the buttons on the microwave did not work. Some of the pre-programmed ones did work so you could still use the microwave. I would consider staying at this location again should we find ourselves back in Hawaii.
Reviewed by: Dave S. recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in April, 2013 This was our fifth stay at the Banyan with the last four booked with Paradise. We were disappointed to find extensive renovations had caused the mgmt. to block access to our Lanai. Paradise didn't seem to be aware of this event though we were able to see it posted on the Banyan website. luckily we had a second suite that had an open Lanai to enjoy. I would not have booked the suite or paid full price if I had known. While we didn't get any offer of compensation from Paradise I so enjoy this location I will book again (October 2013)and just be more careful about work there as it looks like lots is still being done (to end of 2013).
Reviewed by: Karin and Garry S. does not recommend this property. Stayed for 21 days in March, 2013 We really enjoy the location and ammenities at the Banyan as well as the view from the suite. We used the BBQ deck this time, and our grandson really enjoyed the pool and playground. It was terrific to have the parking spot for our rental car. Too bad the suite is getting run down. I advised the property manager company of a dozen things that are broken or worn out. I sure hope they attend to them.
Reviewed by: Barbara S. recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in February, 2013 We liked Suite 3804 at Tower II in the Banyan. The beds were not that comfortable, especially the pull out bed. The suite was not as clean as it should have been and the furniture is a little worn. This suite has a wonderful view and for the most part, we were quite happy there.

Reviewed by: Brent F. recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in December, 2012 I have 5 people in my family and the Banyan has always worked out so well. The rooms are larger than anything I have seen in Waikiki. Having a full kitchen is essential for growing kids and a budget. Having the store downstairs is great as is having the coffee shop. The pool is in the sun all day, except from 2:45pm - 4pm. We stayed on the 38th floor and the view is second to none. We will be staying at the Banyan again.
Reviewed by: Carol R. recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2012 We were very happy with the location. We could see surfers every morning from our living room. The balcony was a nice feature. We enjoyed our unit particularly because it was an end unit with beautiful views of the city and the beach. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation.
Reviewed by: David and Inge C. recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2012 The suite was very comfortable. We enjoyed the view of the ocean from the lanai as we had breakfast in the morning and in the evening when the sun set/night views of Waikiki. The suite was quite large for the two of us. Especially nice to have a full kitchen to cook the occasional meal. It was very handy for bus routes around town/airport and very close for shopping and of course the beach. Having free parking was a real bonus as we had a rental car for a few days. We would certainly recommend the property.
Reviewed by: Karin and Garry S. recommends this property. Stayed for 12 days in February, 2012 The unit was very nicely decorated in an attractive Hawaiian motif. We felt very at home. Loved the lanai, was very comfortable. We felt however that a little more attention could have been paid on the kitchen equipment, as utensils, pots and lids, fry pan, etc were mismatched and beat up. As well, would have been nice to find a few cleaning supplies to use to keep things spick and span. Only other thing would be a laundry drying rack for the beach towels.
A guest from San Francisco, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in January, 2012 Property is at the highest floor and if it wasn't for the building out front, you would get an unobstructed view of the ocean & park area. The place is fully equipped with amenities however we never were able to get the DVD player working so we used our laptop instead for movie viewing. In the living room the phone/internet jack needed a new splitter for both to work at the same time. Black out curtains would have been nice in the bedroom for a napping toddler. There was a cleaning fee of $85 but the place was not cleaned that well. Keep in mind we were traveling with a toddler so our needs may be different from yours. The kitchen was well equipped so we were able to cook for our toddler. Note: no dishwasher. Would have been nice to have a recycling container in the unit and extra garbage bag(s) for the week? Since the unit was privately run from the rest of the Aston Wakikik Banyan property, we did not have access to services in the building such as free DVD rentals or use of office amenities. Yes, had to do some unexpected bit of work on the trip. We only contacted the owner in the beginning of our stay re: phone/internet splitter issue but we found we just had to repeat every we said again to the housekeeping service so we just let things go. Afterall we were on vacation and did not want to spend time talking about stuff so we just make do.If you are traveling with a young toddler, be sure to comb through the place to make sure it's child-proof. Location is great and we were close to everything, beach, zoo, park, ABC Stores ...The unit included parking but we did not use it.

There were a couple of pidgeons that appeared to live under the chair on the lanai and after the second day it really began to smell and made it not desirable to go out there. The view was awesome and couldn't ask for a much better location. The general property (front desk, lobby, grounds) were very clean and well maintained.

A guest from Delta, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2011 Location was outstanding with a wonderful view of Waikiki, which is what would bring me back to this condo. Cleanliness and general repair were lacking - long black hair everywhere, torn curtains, torn bedding, torn bath towels, chipped paint on walls, pigeon poop all over the deck and deck furniture - so much so that you couldn't really enjoy the deck at all - and it was not recent - there were 2 birds nesting there.... The location/view were wonderful but you could guarantee my return and referral if there was some "pride of ownership" evident in the unit.
