Island Colony is located in the heart of Waikiki. Close to everything; world famous Waikiki beach, world class shopping, romantic dining and dancing.We offer a wide variety of units within this property: studios with kitchenettes; one bedroom/one bath units with full kitchens; all with lanais; some with views of the ocean or Ala Wai canal; a wide variety of sleeping arrangements, just let us know your preferences.Amenities:The large pool and sundeck are located on the sixth floor along with a convenience store, coin-op laundry, and sauna. There is public parking in the building for aprx. $18.00 per night. Long term parking is available monthly at reduced rates, aprx $135. A car rental agency, video rental store ,and internet cafe are located on the ground floor.The bus stops within a block from the property and offers transportation to the beach, local attractions, Pearl Harbor, Ala Moana Shopping Center, the Aloha Flea Market, Aloha Marketplace, Hanauma Bay, as well as trips around the Island.

Stayed for 4 days in February, 2013 The Hawaiian Paradise Retreat Staff truly showed the Aloha spirit and made me feel like I was a part of the family. The vacation rental was comfortable, had more amenities than I could ever imagine and truly made me feel like I was living in a home away from home. It was amazing to feel so comfortable in paradise and feel as if you had lived there for years. I can not express how wonderful it felt to close my eyes and feel as if this is where I had been for years! If you want to feel the true Hawaii experience, I urge you to take the vacation rentals route! It allows you to feel, for as long as you are in paradise, that it was where you were most comfortable and meat to be all along!! I highly recommend it! |

4307 Reviewed by: A guest does not recommend this property. Stayed for 11 days in December, 2012 We were disappointed with many things about this property. The kitchen was poorly stocked -- only two forks. The shower was broken on our arrival and had been repaired with a plastic bag. The check in process was not as we'd been told and no one responded to our calls even though we did exactly as instructed. The furniture was being repaired, for the first day we had one plastic chair, that's it. The onsite people were aces, they fixed our shower, got us our chairs ASAP, and apologized for the hassle, but I would not rent this unit or from this company again. |

A good time Reviewed by: Fabian L. recommends this property. Stayed for 19 days in December, 2012 This was our 4th journey to hawaii. We always stayed at island colony because of it's location. And the view from the 43th floor was very nice. The property management was very friendly and worked professionally. But there were also some things that we were disappointed:There was no vacuum-sucker, only an old broom. Cleaning was a little difficult. The shower was a disaster. The water splashed in all diretcions and stayed always in the bathtub. I think this bathroom needs a plumberjob. The toilet lost water everytime we flushed. |
