Island Colony is located in the heart of Waikiki. Close to everything; world famous Waikiki beach, world class shopping, romantic dining and dancing.We offer a wide variety of units within this property: studios with kitchenettes; one bedroom/one bath units with full kitchens; all with lanais; some with views of the ocean or Ala Wai canal; a wide variety of sleeping arrangements, just let us know your preferences.Amenities:The large pool and sundeck are located on the sixth floor along with a convenience store, coin-op laundry, and sauna. There is public parking in the building for aprx. $18.00 per night. Long term parking is available monthly at reduced rates, aprx $135. A car rental agency, video rental store ,and internet cafe are located on the ground floor.The bus stops within a block from the property and offers transportation to the beach, local attractions, Pearl Harbor, Ala Moana Shopping Center, the Aloha Flea Market, Aloha Marketplace, Hanauma Bay, as well as trips around the Island.

Stayed for 31 days in January, 2013
The room was not clean. You could not fully open the bathroom door,half way only as it hit the toilet. The bathroom was dark with flickering flourescant light. The exhaust fan did not work and was filthy. Paint peeling off the the bathroom walls. The bed sheets were dirty with dirt and mud on the mattress cover. Pieces of foam were on top of the worn mattresses and the covers didn't fit, always pulling off. The phone and router jacks were broken and you could only use one or the other. The window coverings were ripped from their hooks and hanging. There were dust balls under and behind the bed and old construction dirt and material under the cabinates. The sliders for the cabinate drawers were loose and falling off. The smoke alarm's cover was ripped off broken and laying beside the bed. The patio doors were filthy. Balcony tiles were missing and some were broken into small sharp pieces. The toaster oven was filthy with old burnt food left inside. There was always one elevator that was not working. Could not swim in the pool, too cold. The door key stuck and you had to fiddle with the key when opening and locking the door.
