A spacious, but cosy, stone farmhouse converted with good taste to a delightfully stylish summer holiday home in an idyllic setting. A charming sitting room has an inviting, wood-burning fireplace for year-round holidays. Three bedrooms, each with charm and each with a splendid view of the Umbrian countryside, have king-sized beds, convertible to twins for sharing. There are two bathrooms, one with shower, and the other, spacious and cleverly converted from the old stable, with double sinks and a claw-foot bath-tub; it is picture perfect. The kitchen opens to the outside. There is dining for up to 8 inside, and a sheltered table for dining outside. Fabulous Italian ceramic tableware will make eating at home a pleasure. Outside, in the summer, you will also find sun beds, and a new, beautiful private pool in your garden which sits in front of a peaceful sloping orchard of olives and figs.
In Umbria, down a private little country road outside of the hill town of Narni, and near to Todi, Amelia, Terni, Viterbo, and Orte, and further away, Assisi and Perugia, nestles a charming family vacation home restored from an old stone farmhouse. It is set on a slope looking across the rolling green hills of beautiful Umbria. Umbria is a great spot for a vacation any time of the year - as beautiful as Tuscany, and in fact, even better as it is less over-crowded with tourists. Enjoy wonderful food and local specialities, wine from the region, and excellent olive oil from the neighbouring farm. Search for the various monasteries built high in the hills with stupendous views, in one of which St.Francis of Assisi spent time. Discover the local festivals in medieval streets, or take picnics up into the woods and relish the stunning vistas.
