Access to ¨Proneta 1¨ (5-6 people/100 smq) is through the building’s main entrance (used by all four apartments) with the apartment’s private entrance situated on the ground floor to the right.
The front door opens onto a small hallway with two doors: a bathroom complete with shower and a double bedroom, convertible into twin on request.
A spacious living/dining room with single sofa bed and kitchen corner is situated to the left through an archway. The kitchen, fully equipped with gas range, oven, fridge with freezer and dishwasher, is separated from the dining room by a low wall. Two steps separate the remaining two bedrooms, a double room with view and a single room (1 extra bed , and a second bathroom complete with bathtub and washing machine.



This ancient farm house is situated 500 meters from Podere Cappella, the main part of the estate, and is made up of four independent apartments. There is a large furnished terrace for guests to enjoy the beautiful Tuscan panoramas and on clear days it is possible to admire San Gimignano and the surrounding hills.

The second swimming-pool (7x14m), for guests staying in Proneta 1-4, is located on the top of a small hill and overlooks the countryside to the south-east. The pool is surrounded by a large sunny terrace, well exposed until sunset and ideal for some serious relaxation.


Overall Property Description:
Fattoria Quercia al Poggio was once a rural village home to a small community of farm workers consisting of around 10 families, first share croppers then dependants of the estate. Vallombrosan monks also resided here until two centuries ago. At that time, the village was truly self sufficient: shepherds, farmers and woodcutters exchanged their goods and the remainder was then sold at the market.

Today the owners have converted the village to offer guests the chance to enjoy a truly relaxing stay immersed in the Tuscan countryside. They personally follow each phase of the wine-making process in order to achieve a quality wine, sold both locally and internationally, to satisfy lovers of a genuine Chianti Classico.

Quercia al Poggio offers guests a wide range of self-catering apartments with the choice of one, two or three bedrooms. All apartments have spacious living areas, bathrooms and fully-equipped kitchens.

The property is composed by 2 main parts: the apts "Cappella", sharing one of the 2 pols, and about 400 mt far from these, the apartments "Proneta" (these can be booked together as a single villa, with private pool, sleeping about 20 guests).

Aside from the 2 stunning swimming pools, there is also a tennis court for our guests's use and a games room with billiards, ping pong and table soccer. We can also organize shiatsu massages, cooking and at classes. Quercia al Poggio is perfectly situated in the heart of Tuscany offering the perfect chance to visit Florencre, Siena, Pisa, Chianti and the seaside.

Distances: The nearest village is San Donato (grocer, chemist baker....), 8 km away. Car essential! Supermarkets, shops and restaurants are all a short drive away.

Fees Due at Check in:
During the winter heating is not included and costs EUR 3 per mc.

Local tax: euro 1,5 /night/person - only from March to October and for guests older than 14; not charged after the 7th night

In case different times are needed, please ask in advance so that the owner can approve.
please note that owners will request a fee of 20 euros/hour for late arrivals which have not been duly anticipated.

Please note that on arrival we require a refundable damage deposit of 260 Euro per apt. which will be returned to you - only by credit card.

Welcome Dinner: Tuscan menu' could be prepared on the arrival evening:
cost Euro 30 per adult and Euro 15 per child (up to 10 years old)


On request, the owners can provide a basic grocery pack on arrival with the products of the farm (euro 40).

WEDDINGS and events: the owners require an extra charge of euro 1000, both for weekly rentals and also for shorter ones; this is paid half with at the reservation, half on arrival.
