Perfect for independently minded families, friends, couples and singles wishing to enjoy an adventurous vacation exploring the island beyond the stereotypical tourist traps such as the hotel star systems and Sandals resort experience. The house is yours exclusively for the duration of your stay.
A newly built two-bedroom bungalow on the oversubscribed Bogue Village, in the St James Parish, Montego Bay. It has eco friendly solar powered hot water supplying a bath and shower plumbed to a modern fitted kitchen complete with microwave oven for quick hot meals, washing machine keeping your garments fresh, gas cooker to prepare local ingredients and fridge freezer perhaps to fill with the amazing selection of chilled tropical juices and fresh seafood from the markets.
All inclusive to the property is a cool air conditioned open plan style to a dining and living area fully furnished with TV and Internet connectivity for your computer without the charges, queues, security and time limit issues associated with public access points like Internet cafes and hotel lounges where strangers could be looking and waiting over your shoulder. The unlimited broadband access let's you handle your business affairs plus keep in touch with family and friends in comfort and privacy. The remote controlled A/C and broadband Internet in this house are as cool and fast as Usain Bolt. They will take care of you whatever the tropical weather.
Guest tend to travel with cell/mobile phones with international roaming agreements set up with their network service providers to stay in touch. To save on communication cost we recommend that guest who intend to bring computers with them should install voice over IP telephony software such as Skype. Ian Fleming’s James Bond would approve of such technology.
It has never been our policy to supply towels for guest due to hygienic reasons intrinsic to recycling them in a smaller infrastructure than a hotel. Thus we advise you to provide your own towels.
In addition, the house is situated on a larger than average plot of land which seasonally has fruit and vegetables in the garden available for consumption. This house is in the corner of a quite cul-de-sac and only 10 minutes drive from Sangster Airport. Airport pick up and drop off service available.
Nearby the Fairview Shopping Plaza includes Super Plus Jamaica's largest supermarket chain for all your self catering needs such as currency exchange and sim cards, Fontana pharmacy for your well being, KFC which localises some of it's menu with rice & peas and coconut water (free refills on all drinks) plus a cinema complex with the latest releases. There is also a new local bar above another supermarket within walking distance.
Your island experience can be explored a few minutes away from the house for free at the Montego Bay Marine Park. It has presentations on marine environmental responsibility, the Howard Cooke Boulevard Mangrove Wetland Walking Trail and the Bogue Lagoon Kayaking Eco-Tour. Try the local Rocklands Bird Sanctuary for hummingbirds and many more exotic creatures that are only found on this island.
It is suggested to hire a car to discover Jamaica since the house has secure gated parking for two vehicles plus a Texaco gas/petrol station is nearby to power your Caribbean adventures. Automatic air conditioned car rentals with the sound track of Jamaican radio and lively chat shows against the backdrop of beautiful coastline roads and tropical valleys is highly recommended. BBC Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson would probably say get lost in paradise and only use satellite navigation if you're running low on fuel as country driving in Jamaica brings back the joy of motoring with hardly any speed trap cameras for miles. Bring an international driving licence and take sharp blind corners slowly for smooth cruising.
Bogue Village is 5 minutes drive from the Gloucester Avenue's “Hip Strip” for the world famous Doctors Cave Beach, noted for its crystal clear turquoise waters and near white sand. In addition, Margaritaville for exciting entertainment, a lively atmosphere and delicious food.
Award winning hotels such as the Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa, Holiday Inn SunSpree, Quality, Forte Posthouse, RIU, Ritz Carlton, Sea castle Resorts, Sandals Royal Caribbean, Half Moon, Palms, Wyndham Rose Hall Beach and Country Club plus A-list celebrities and royalty such as the Queen and Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Richard Branson, Prince Rainier of Monaco, David Bowie, Whitney Houston, Sir Noël Coward, John F Kennedy, Jacqueline Kennedy, Princess Margaret, Kate Moss, Harrison Ford and Naomi Campbell have set up camp within minutes from the house. These world class hoteliers and stars have chosen this island as a paradise destination, you can share the ambiance in a less expensive manner.
Moreover, the manager who lives in the village happens to have a network of contacts across the island with various local merchants and service providers should you have any requests during your stay. You can also phone or email the owner for access to an additional concierge service from the time of your booking up until departure on any requirements related to your stay.
