High Hillside is our favorite. It is the only one at which we have stayed more than 3 consecutive times. This year was our 6th in a row! We feel completely at home with everything from the inviting layout to the comfortable furnishings to the personalized decorations. It is clear that the owners have raised their girls in a very loving way.As for Franconia Notch Vacations, we cannot say enough about Cort. He is thoroughly professional and unfailingly friendly. When we asked about any new restaurants, he recommended Root in Bethlehem, where we savored every bite. Please take advantage of the Franconia Notch Chamber of Commerce Area Discount Card that comes with the rental. We enjoyed more than $60 in savings through Bishop's, Franconia Inn, Polly's, Jean's Playhouse, and the Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway.You know how people say they need a vacation from their vacation? Ours ended a week ago, yet I'm still feeling relaxed by the experience. I can hardly wait to determine when to make our reservation for 2013! |

Beautiful location, dated accomodations Roger N. from Harvey, New Brunswick does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2010 Shower leaked into the lower bedroom,window hardware was broken on several windows. I felt that for the money we paid the standards should have been higher. Beautiful location though. Property Manager Response: Response from Franconia Notch Vacations Sorry the property did not meet your expecations Mr. Nickerson. Now here's the ironic part folks... we had upgraded Mr. Nickerson's family from the property he had originally chosen on-line, which was a lessor quality and lower value based home, to this larger, more modern chalet with no additional cost to them. I can only imagine how that review might have sounded, and as is sometimes the case, good deeds don't go un-punished. However, based upon all prior guest reviews for this property, (and we can not delete them by the way), this review is sort of an anomaly, yet it does prove that our reviews are honest and otherwise un-editted.
