This newly renovated Mittersill USA Chalet style home is great for large families or group gatherings looking to maintain a budget. With five bedrooms; two on the ground floor, two on the main level and one in the loft, there is plenty of space for everyone and it is at a great value too! During summer months enjoy some sun on the large deck, A/C in living spaces or take a stroll to the shores of beautiful Echo Lake and enjoy a dip of the toe, or more for that matter. During the winter months come home to a wood burning fireplace after a day of skiing at nearby Cannon Mountain, Bretton Woods or Loon. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2009 We were a family of 5 and the space was comfortable for us I think for 9 the seating/ living room area would be a little cramped but plenty of beds. It is an older home but we didn't have any issues to complain about and it was very convenient for skiing at Cannon |

Stayed for 30 days in July, 2009 I was not aware that "older" was synonymous with decrepit, broken, or no-longer working. I feel that I left the property in cleaner condition than I found it. Yard work other than mowing was nonexistent. The kitchen needs to be upgraded. Linoleum floors are stapled. Wallpaper is tearing. Some of the appliances are archaic. Seat covers in main room are filthy. No iron or ironing board were found. My husband and I own a rental property here in FL and would be appalled to rent it in the condition we found in the NH chalet. |

The sun has set on Goodwin's Sunset Chalet A guest from Sudbury, MA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 130 days in December, 2008 This is a very good location with convenient parking but the property is really really run down. The beds are old, creaky and thoroughly uncomfortable. The kitchen is completely outdated and disfunctional. The furniture is basic frat house quality. The "downstairs" bedrooms are dingy and moldy and smell like oil - truly untenable. The main upstairs bathroom is falling apart. The cabinets are literally crumbling. The property has seen its better days. Property Manager Response: During the Spring of 2009 the entire lower level of the home has been re-finished and a top-quality direct drain de-humidifier installed to create a more enjoyable enviroment. Please do note that this home is listed in our "Rustic" category of homes and is priced accordingly. If you are looking a value oriented location, without the need of fancy new-fashion frills, The Goodwin Sunset Chalet is what you have been searching for. Looking for a new-n-shiny place? We must agree- this is not it. |
