Great Rustic Twain Harte cabin A guest from Fairfield, CA recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in July, 2013 Great decks, lots of seating. Tiny kitchen but had everything we needed--especially for outdoor dining. Nice that downstairs bedrooms had low ceilings, so rooms stayed very cool. Recommend and will book again.
Christmas in the snow Ken F. from Oakland, CA recommends this property.
Stayed for 8 days in December, 2012 We arrived on Christmas Day as it was beginning to snow; the forcast had no snow in it and we had no chains! The car was snowed in for three days; therefore it was great that our cabin was two blocks from the center of town. As always the restaurants had excellent food, and town people were friendly. I plan on returning many times to Twain Harte.
Farewell to Farewell Station Brian L. from Mountain House, CA does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 2 days in December, 2012 It was a cute place but subpar maintenance made it a bad experience. No hot water 1.5 days, power went out, fireplace backed up into the house, treating all of out clothes for smoke, bathroom sink backed up. If you pay as much as we did, you want these things to work right.
Great experience! A guest from San Ramon, CA recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in August, 2012 Farwell Station was a great cabin. Very cute. Lots of charm. Kitchen is small, but well equipped. When we arrived we noticed the first step up to the logt was broken. Our second day, we woke up and the overhead fan in the family room area was not working. I called the management company and they were great! They sent somebody out same day and it was repaired by the next day. This cabin is walking distance from town but you'll need to drive to the lake. This was perfect for us. We walked in to town once for lunch and another time for miniature golf. We drove to the lake. Drive is quick and there was plenty of convenient parking. All in all a great trip!
Location of the cabin is great A guest from Yucca Valley, CA recommends this property.
Stayed for 6 days in July, 2012 Rental staff was great, very helpful. Location of the cabin is great,so close to town, yet tucked away.House keeping could have been alot better.
Check all lights immediately upon arrival! Diane P. from San Francisco, CA recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in June, 2012 The only drawback was the porch and deck lights were all out. We didn't notice until the 2nd night of our stay, so management couldn't get anyone out to address it before we left.

Stayed for 5 days in December, 2011 Usually i rent a cabin near the Twain Harte Lake but since we were not going to the lake in December i decided to try one close to town. I am glad i did. We walked to the playground each morning and we walked to breakfast at the Sportsman Cafe. It was a fun change. Can't wait to come back. Twain Harte is my favorite vacation destination.
A Breath of Fresh Air Diane P. from San Francisco, CA recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in July, 2011 We had no outdoor garbage can so we had to keep our garbage inside until the day before we left-not good, but otherwise a lovely cabin and stay.
Property Manager Response: Response from Twain Harte Vacation Rentals Sorry about the garbage situation - we found that their can had been stolen (along with several others in the neighborhood)! But glad you had a good time anyway! :)
Could have been better... Andy S. from Lafayette, CA does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 3 days in August, 2010 Good location to town. In general, cabin was unkept and dirty. Silverwear was greasy, cabin cluttered with owners belongings. Old food left in refrigerator. The deck was a saving grace. Why get charged $75.00 for cleaning if the place is dirty when you arrive?
Cute, but small Joe B. from Half Moon Bay, CA recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in July, 2010 Tiny kitchen, very small bedrooms, and loft off steep staircase. Classic "old cabin" knotty pine panelled throughout, great decks front & rear, and just a short walk into town.
Twain Harte vacation rental Sonya W. from Eustis, Florida recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in June, 2010 The cabin and it's location were lovely. We were visited morning and evening by deer, squirrels and birds. The area it is in is quiet and beautiful. Nice location in proximity to Yosemite and gold country. We would definitely stay there again. I think the owners should definitely post pictures of bedrooms and loft.

No Sheets Julian K. from Oakland, CA does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 2 days in December, 2007 Not providing sheets or a washer dryer is a very large imposition. The property was wonderful, but no sheets is not a good policy
We had a limited time to which we book the rental, and we were very please with both the property and THVR...Small but very clea Kenny G. from Rocklin, CA recommends this property.
