vacation in a heavenly place
Tom & Nancy M. from Millbrae, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in July, 2016 Everything was handled seamlessly prior to our arrival. The house is a nice house located in an excellent area. This year we did find the house was not as clean as in the past. BBQ had to be cleaned out and we had to vacuum the rooms. While we love this house it is about time to change the carpets and update some furniture.
Marilyn S. from Grass Valley, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2016 We loved staying in Twain Harte. Expected a cabin advertised to sleep 15 would have bedrooms for all - even though there were roll-aways, there was no place other than living room to put them. Carpet was filthy, dirty dishes in the kitchen cabinets - we had to wash them before use. Pulled out the sofa bed & it was full of old food. Kitchen light did not work & was not repaired during our stay
Karen C. from Stockton, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2015 Had a great time. All the kids are raised and have lives of their own, but someway each year we find the time to go to Twain Harte on a family get together. And it just gets better. Loved the layout of the cabin. My one complaint is the kitchen is way too small to move around. Especially when so many people are putting meals together. That being my only issue, the cabin was the perfect place for a large family to get together. Working on the dates right now for next year. Thank you ~
A guest from Norfolk, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2015 The stay was great but short . Due to a mix up, we did not have the cabin for the same period of time that we have stayed at this cabin in Twain Harte for the last ten years. A courtesy call would have been appreciated. We booked the days we could get but moving to another cabin was a pain. We were also surprised to find sheets on the bed upstairs that I had to remove to make up the bed. A bit annoying. Although clean the cabin looks tired. Cushions on the chairs in the dining area were soiled and one was torn. I would still recommend this property and love its proximity to golf and town and the huge deck suitable for our large family gatherings.
Bin L. from San Ramon, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2015 11 people of 3 families stayed at this house for 2 nights on Memorial weekend. Access and check-out were very simple. (By using the lockbox). Booking and returning the full security deposit also no hassel. The manager Margie is very helpful. There are one bdrm at 1st floor w/ a rollaway bed in its closet. One full bath next to it. There 3 bdrm upstairs. One is master bdrm w/ a kingsize. Second is a huge bdrm w/ a fullsize, a bunkbed (2 story twin size) and 2 rollaway beds in its closet. Third one is a small bdrm with a bunkbed which has a full size and a twin. Water pressure was super. Full kitchen has almost everything. TV is working so were the DVD. CD play was not functional. Wifi is strong. However when enter the passcode it jumped to Comcast sign page, where we could not figure out whatsNext. So we give up the Wifi. The 4G was strong anyway. The deck looks brandnew w/ BBQ. The is a firepit in the large woody front yard, where group of deers stroll by. It was a pleasant stay. Thank you Margie!
A guest from Benton City, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2014 ALL WE COULD ASK FOR. RESERVATIONS WERE EASY TO MAKE. COMMUNICATION WITH THE PROPERTY MANAGERS WAS COMPLETE AND TIMELY. HOUSING WAS MORE THAN ANTICIPATED. PARKING WAS ENOUGH FOR 5+ CARS. WE, AS A FAMILY, WERE ABLE TO CONNECT IN THE ENVIRONMENT OF TWAIN HARTE. KIDS WERE FASCINATED BY THE WILDLIFE THAT WERE ROAMING THE PROPERTY. THANKS FOR ADDING TO OUR EVENT.
A guest from Downey, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2013 The good, the bad and the ugly written here... Property does not provide sheets or pillow cases and only gives 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom. Trash was overflowing when we got there and yet there is a note that says we must take our trash with us if it doesn't fit. a big one - advertises air conditioning but there isn't really a full house air conditioner, just a portable, ineffective one in the living room. the house however is huge, beautiful and situated walking distance to downtown Twainharte. Deer on the property everyday come right up to you. Lots of space, beds, and games in the house for entertainment. Friendly neighbors.
Tom & Nancy M. from Millbrae, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in July, 2013 As always we had a excellent experience. Some accomadations were needed for extra garbage that had been left there and they were dealt with immediately by the property managers.
Chris W. from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2012 Great rental and it worked really well for the family - and all 6 kids. The lake was a blast and everyone enjoed the waterslides. My only complaint is that it was difficult to leave on Sunday as the move out instructions required everything to be put back in their original place. I suggest a simple modification to dishes in the dishwasher and towels in the dryer - would have made it a lot easier and less stressful to depart.
Virginia P. from Norfolk, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 We noted cleaned carpets, new wine glasses and of course the new deck. Everything about the cabin was fine. The only disappointment is the lake. In the past we received tickets to use the lake, and the higher rental cost of the cabin reflected lake privileges. Now "lake privileges" means only that we have the right to buy tickets. Without the lake, there is little reason to come to Twain Harte, and frankly, we're looking at other areas. Did I mention that (again!!) the staff at the Lake are terribly rude?
A guest from San Jose, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2011 We only wished we could have stayed longer than only 3 days. We enjoyed the lake nearby and the scenery of Twain Harte. The property owners were polite and accommodating every step of the way.
Diane B. from Alameda, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2011 Would have been nicer if it was closer to the lake so we could easily go back and forth to the cabin. It was a bit far for us to walk and we wish we would have known that you couldn't bring in food and drinks to the lake.
A guest from Ithaca, NY does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2010 Twain Harte, while in a potentially lovely area, has barb-wired and fenced itself into a prison town. A regretable loss. But there are beautiful areas a close enough drive. Though next time I'd probably stay there.
Chuck & Carolin G. from Novato, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2009 The carpets were very very dirty, the cushions on the dining rm.chairs were filthy, beds were not what info said.Downstairs bed was not for 2 adults, adults had to use bunk beds, beds in terrible condition.upstairs bed only one adult as well. had to use roll away that was not confortable at all.IF beds were corrected we would come back.best bed in the house was the master. 4 out of 8 slept well. game table wonderful!!dining rom. great!location wonderful.
Tom & Nancy M. from Millbrae, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in July, 2009 Rental company is very responsive to the needs of the clients. Cabin is a nice propertyThanks for a great vacaton.
A guest from Clayton, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2009 Kitchen is clean and stocked w/ necessities. Ideal for families w/ 4+ bedrooms & 2 baths. Washer/Dryer, TV, DVD player. Minus some dust and worn carpet, overall; a wonderful vacation home.
A guest from Modesto, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2008 We were hoping for more snow on the ground for the kids to play in outside, but the facility itself was great. The big kitchen table was perfect for our family reunion and the kitchen had everything we needed.
A guest from Walnut Creek, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2007 This house is a good place for a large family. The kitchen is a bit small, but the living room and eating area is quite large. The beds are very average and not great for adults.
Yvette B. from Novato, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2007 My friend and family reunions have been so enjoyable at Twain Harte. Staying at this cabin holds great memories. It's location, rustic charm, amenities and size all make for an enjoyable stay. The size of the deck is a definite plus for children to play.
