Description:
“Poggio de La Bruna - Muccianello” is an ancient hayloft that has been restored thanks to the collaboration of a famous Italian architect. It is one of a larger set of buildings (where the only two proprietors live), which have preserved the structural features of old Tuscany farmhouses.

“Poggio de La Bruna - Muccianello” is surrounded on all sides by the green hills of Mugello, an area where the environment is carefully protected, and located in the vicinity of the house where the painter Giotto was born. During the restoration activities, special attention was dedicated to reusing natural materials; therefore, precious woods such as elm and handmade terracotta tiles were used to lay the floors and natural marbles such as travertine were chosen as lining for the bathrooms.

The furniture of the rooms is a clever and pleasant mix of old Tuscan and modern Italian styles. The garden, exclusively for the use of our guests, was created by adding botanic elements typical of the Mugello hills and it hosts a swimming pool with a characteristic water fountain, also for the exclusive use of the guests staying at “Muccianello”. The interiors are provided with high-tech appliances and all necessary facilities: 4 television sets with satellite connection, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, microwave oven and traditional oven, burglar alarm system, safe, air conditioning in two of the bedrooms, antique fireplace.
Besides the swimming pool and the garden watched daily by qualified staff, our guests can enjoy a covered barbecue area with a table seating 6; we also offer private parking for a maximum of 3 cars.
“Poggio de La Bruna - Muccianello” is 4 km away from the train station where trains bear you to the city center of Florence in only 30 minutes; the golf court is 10 km away and Lake Bilancino with surfing and sailing facilities is at a distance of 14 km. The closest riding-ground is only 5 km away. From “Poggio de La Bruna - Muccianello“ our guests can easily reach modern shopping centers and the hospital, which are only a few minutes' drive away.

On the ground floor there is the living room with fireplace, the dining room, the kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom and the laundry.
An unusual staircase leads to the first floor, where there is a twin room and a bathroom, a TV area and the master suite made up of a dressing room, a bathroom and a bedroom. All the bathrooms are equipped with the most modern facilities.
Air conditioning in 2 bedrooms, swimming pool (dimensions 6x12 meters) with water fountain, private garden and private automatic gate (remote control supplied during the vacation).

From North: Exit from A1 "Barberino del Mugello " – Continue to Borgo San Lorenzo – Pass Borgo San Lorenzo and follow the indications for Vicchio - After about 5 Km from Borgo San Lorenzo, 1 Km before Vicchio on the left side of the street (at km 17) turn left (there is a Casa Di Giotto turistic sign). Go ahead for 300 meters than turn right (do not follow the futher Casa di Giotto sing). Go ahead for 1200 meters than on left side of the road there is a group of 2 villas in the middle of the country; turn left in a 200 meters country street.

• From South: Exit from A1 “Incisa Valdarno” – Continue for Pontassieve. In Pontassieve follow the indications for Forlì SS 551 – after about 17 Km you arrive in Dicomano. Follow the indications for Vicchio. Pass Vicchio in the direction of Borgo San Lorenzo; pass an Agip petrol station and after 300 meters (at km 17) turn right (there is a Casa Di Giotto turistic sign). Go ahead for 300 meters than turn right (do not follow the futher Casa di Giotto sing). Go ahead for 1200 meters than on left side of the road there is a group of 2 villas in the middle of the country; turn left in a 200 meters country street.

• From Florence: Follow indications for the main road "Bolognese" (SS 65) – Go all over SS 65 for about 35 Km., following indication for Borgo San Lorenzo – Arrived in Borgo San Lorenzo, follow the indications for Vicchio. After about 5 Km from Borgo San Lorenzo, 1 Km before Vicchio on the left side of the street (at km 17) turn left (there is a Casa Di Giotto turistic sign). Go ahead for 300 meters than turn right (do not follow the futher Casa di Giotto sing). Go ahead for 1200 meters than on left side of the road there is a group of 2 villas in the middle of the country; turn left in a 200 meters country street.

• From Florence Airport: Once exit from airport turn on the right and get the A1 Highway following indications to Bologna. Exit from A1 "Barberino del Mugello " – Continue to Borgo San Lorenzo – Pass Borgo San Lorenzo and follow the indications for Vicchio.
