Furthermore, they are part of this archaeological park the Roman amphitheatre, the Ear of Dionysius and Ara of Ierone. The museum possesses one of the most important archaeological collections in Sicily. The Cathedral, located in the heart of Ortigia, dates back to 1728, and includes parts of the Temple of Norman eighth century.
The Baroque cities of Noto, Modica and Ragusa Ibla Ispica are easily accessible. Popular tourist towns such as Taormina, Giardini Naxos and Letojanni are north of Catania. The grandeur of Mount Etna, often visible from Syracuse, offers several opportunities for hiking. Fanusa is a bathing area located just 3 minutes from the sea with a sandy beach and 5 minutes from the center of Syracuse. The house was completely restored and furnished tastefully.
