The house is set in a very quiet street but is only 2 minutes walk from the shops, bars and restaurants of the picturesque village of Siorac, set on the edge of the Dordogen River, 25miles west from Sarlat. Just think - you can lie in bed and send the kids to get the baguettes and croissants in the mornings ! All the sites of interest of Dordogne are in a 20miles radius making the house the ideal base from which to explore the Dorodgne or just relax in! For entertainment, there are a 18 and a 9 holes golf courses at 1 mile, and also tennis courts and Dordogne river available at a convenient walking distance from the house. The entrance opens to the lounge with its dining area and an open plan kitchen fully equipped with a electric oven, a burner gas hob, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. There is a cosy salon area with sofas and coffee table. The lounge has french windows to access the secluded garden. Also on groundfloor there is a small utility room with a washing machine and a ironing table/iron. From the lounge a wooden staircase leads up to the first floor with a large corridor leading on 4 rooms. First room is the bathroom with a bath. The second room is the Green double bedded room with its magnificient old built in wardrobe. The third room is the Pink twin bedroom. The fourth master Yellow bedroom has a large built in wardrobe and a double bed. Note that all beds are new and very comfortable. Also there is a sep toilets on first floor and another access to the garden. Outdoor description: ******************* Outside, there is a terrace area and an adjacent summer kitchen, ideal to prepare breakfast or barbecue! The secluded garden all closed, offers shady and sunny areas to sit and lie in. Situation ********* Siorac is a picturesque village of Dorodgne with all amenities including café bar restaurants and supermarket. During summer time there is several brocantes and a large fireworks organised in the village.
So much to do and see in this beautiful area; many bastide towns and medieval villages in the beautiful countryside. There are many activities round and about including golf (http://www.golfenaquitaine.com/lolivarie/) canoeing, walking, horse riding, hot air ballooning, go-karting, tennis and fishing. The Dordogne has a good climate for holiday makers most of the year – Spring is sunny but changeable, with May and June absolute perfection. Summer is hot and busy but ideal for canoeing on the Dordogne. September and October see fine weather and the all-important grape harvest. Winters are usually wet and mild but ideal for cozying up in front of the log burning fire and sampling the wines harvested in the months before.
