Welcome to Hui o Kulia, where the view from A-15 at the Kona Reef will take your breath away. Relax and watch the whales and dolphins swim by, cruise ships pass, or the surfing which takes place right before your eyes. Enjoy the oceanfront pool, or spend the day sightseeing in the quaint town of Kailua Kona which is a short stroll from the condo. You'll find shopping, restaurants, activity booths, and Aloha along the way. Honl Beach is steps away from the complex where you can enjoy snorkeling, body boarding, or an afternoon picnic if relaxation is on your mind. Lovely unit that was recently remodeled with bamboo flooring, granite counter tops, new queen bed, and tropical lanai furnishings. This is a non-smoking unit. 3 Night Minimum Stay- 10 Night Minimun Stay during Ironman and Christmas season. W-01

A-15 is nice but the futon takes up too much room and there was no alarm clock in the bedroom. The shower was difficult to turn on and restriction of towels was a little annoying. The lanai needs looked at as water leaks from the NW corner where a structural beam is. This beam is rusting quite a bit and really should be looked at soon. Also, the flapper in the toilet occasionally hung up and the toilet ran and ran. |

Be sure to get one of the units that faces the ocean. Also, notice that the directions to the property state POINT 5 MILES FROM THE 3 WAY STOP, not 5 miles. |

The bathroom needs to be gutted. Everything old. Bathroom fan doesn't take moisture out of the room - only adds heat. By the time you get your make up on, it is melting off your face. No place to put anything on the vanity. Bedroom light switch does not work. You have to walk into a dark room to turn on a bedside lamp. Bed spread is stained. Need to use a flashlight to see washer/dryer controls at night. Iron is corroded. Pantry door are missing. Stove and rusty refrigerator are old. The unit was advertised as having an ice maker. to me this means a machine not 2 ice cube trays. The supplies needs to be upgraded -paper towel, toilet paper (think tissue paper), mini bar of soap. They are of the lowest quality. This is not Motel 8. If you want to tidy up, there is a broom and a half of box from chocolates. The rental photo of the livingroom shows a bed. Be warned!!!! This is not a photo showing the day bed folds out. This full size bed is the sofa which is uncomfortable, backbreaking,stained and sticky. ****use a pool towel to lay on to feel cleaner. To turn on the air conditioner, you need to stand on a chair. The wall switch is broke. When you rent a condo, you want to feel like it is a home. This unit feels like a motel. Eight different signs telling you what to do. A15 is not worth the rental price. |

The view was amazing from the lanai, looking right out over the ocean. We saw turtles on the rocks in front by the ocean. I enjoyed watching the surfers and the boogie boarders in the waves out front. The only real downside was that there is no air conditioning in the bedroom; the a/c unit is in the living room and cools the living room quickly, but there is only a ceiling fan to cool the bedroom. Otherwise, the unit was clean and comfortable. It was an easy walk from the Kona Reef to the main drag on Allii Drive for restaurants and shopping. I would stay there again and recommend it to my friends. |

This was our 1st time in A-15 and it will be our last! The unit just did not feel clean, had to clean the inside of the coffee maker before I could start the first pot. It was also extremely dark - no overhead lighting, only small table lamps which made it feel like a cave. The AC and ceiling fans do not generate enough cool air if someone has taken a shower and the bathroom gets unbareably hot and muggy...not good for the ladies.The most disappointing experience of our stay was the bugs/mosquitos in the unit. We were constantly killing mosquitos when we weren't being bit by them. I have no less than 15 bites. I even found dead mosquitos in my luggage when I got home. Great location, but we will not stay in A15 again. Way too much $$$ when housekeeping is not provided. |

We woke up every morning to surfers and turtles playing in the ocean. Shops and restaurants are a short walk away. The condo itself had everything you need, including a lot of great beach gear. There are a few improvements the condo owners could make: hooks on the lanai to hang up wet towels and swimsuits would be nice, more lighting in the living room and kitchen, and a fan to put in front of the lanai door to get the air moving so we wouldn't have to use the A/C so much. I highly recommend this condo, and would absolutely stay here again! |

The bed-like couch was not comfortable for reading and with the cooler evenings, the lack of a dining table and chairs inside was a serious deficiency in our opinion. We purchased a proper spatula.If there had been a sponge mop we would have had an easier time keeping the floors clean during our 5 week stay. The vaccuume is just not enough! |

We had to call to have a light bulb replaced and later found another bulb missing, which we replaced. The place was clean, except the floor matts are not washable and should be replaced with washable rugs. The sliding door and screen needs some maintenance/repair. We found that the best place to view the Ocean was on our private Lanai. The swimming pool area and BBQ grilling area was great. Having only one set of towels without washing and drying them was a negative. |

Every morning we ate breakfast outside on the lanai and watched the waves crashing on the rocks as the moon faded behind the palms. The cruise ships coming in the early morning hours with their lights shining added another visual bonus. In the evening we watched the surfers (sometimes as many as 13)as they rode the waves into shore while we awaited the sunsets. Unfortunately the VOG made them (the sunsets) less then stellar. The sunsets weren't the worst we have seen but they also were not the best. That said, the whales breeching right off shore more then made up for it. The shops are within easy walking distance and the Farmers market provided a great choice of sweet pineapples, gigantic avocados, and so much more. This unit also has unexpected extras such as snorkling gear, ice chests, and soft beach towels. It has a fairly well equipped kitchen that included plenty of storage containers which came in handy for leftovers. All in all a good value. |

The unit was clean, nicely furnished, and within walking distance to restaurants, shops, etc... The property manager was also very friendly and extremely helpful. When we discovered that the previous renters forgot to leave the pool key, they came in short notice to bring us one. We absolutely loved staying here and hope to be back again. |
