E Komo Mai (Welcome) to Kona Plaza 302, located on the third floor with elevators nearby. Newly furnished living room and lanai. It has central a/c, a well stocked kitchen for those times you just want to stay in and enjoy a home cooked meal sitting on your lanai overlooking the ocean. Within close walking distance, there are many restaurants, as well as, a grocery store, souvenir, dive shop, a large downtown open market, or plan fun sightseeing excursions around the island! If you just can not leave business behind, our unit has a desk with wi-fi internet access for your convenience during your stay. You need not walk far to take a dip in the ocean or snorkel with the fish. You really can enjoy paradise without being far from this great condo! 10 night minimum during Ironman and Christmas Season. Reasonable price with the PERFECT location! Kini G. from Hilo, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2013 Everything you need is in this cozy little condo! Some things need to be updated and/or fixed, but very minor. The only trouble I had was the code combination to get into the parking garage! None of them worked! Apparently the keypad was not properly wired?? I was fortunate enough to have a resident come from behind and open the gate with their "clicker"... I would highly recommend to those who are not picky! |

Kona Plaza 302 in Kailua-Kona, HI A guest from El Cajon, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2013 We spent 4 days here in Jan 2013. The condo is old and could use some updating but was clean and in a great location. The condo sits right behind Poncho & Lefty's but we were never bothered by noise. Had a great view of the beautiful sunsets from the lani. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cookware. Great to have washer and dryer in unit. Bed was comfy. Mini blinds on bedroom window but could use curtains for more privacy. All in all it was a good stay and I would stay here again. Be prepared to buy your own TP, paper towels, dish soap and laundry detergent! |

Stayed for 7 days in April, 2010 We had fairly severe problems with cockroaches. There were roaches (small ones) in the kitchen sink every morning (about 20 or 30). The screen door to that unit is broken and the sliding door to the utility closet across the hall from the front door is off the track. It was obvious to me that the owner should take better care of the unit and do some repairs. |

Kona Plaza set the stage for a fabulous first visit to The Big Island. Joy K. from Longmont, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in January, 2010 Kona Plaza is in a wonderful location and so very convenient to dining, shopping, people watching, beach walking, ocean watching and, yes, we even saw whales. What a delight to see the swimmers each morning along the Ironman course, and all the activity in the Kailua Bay was very interesting. Every evening at duskwe were serenaded by hundreds of birds in the nearby trees. And the sunset watching was phenomenal. Yes, we saw the Green Flash!!! The condo itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We really appreciated the underground garage, and the lack of noise from other condos. The management staff were wonderful to work with. Thank you for helping us to experience a wonderful two-week vacation on The Big Island. |

October Kona Stay Stephen B. from Lafayette, CO does not recommend this property. Stayed for 10 days in October, 2008 The location is ok with the exception of the exhaust smell from the resturant off the balcony. The unit is showing its age and needs to be redone. Also there seems to be excessive fees such as large security deposit despite multiple stays in recent years and a cleaning surcharge (should be included in the price). Given the economy and what others paid for similar or better properties the price to value ratio is slightly skewed to the owner/realator. Although I have enjoyed my stay in recent years there are no incentives for repeat customers so I shall be more selective in future years. Mahalo |

THE PRICE IS A LITTLE HIGH FOR ONLY 1 ROOM AND THE PRICE TO CLEAN PLUS THE 300 $ DEPOSIT IF IT'S NOT CLEAN IS TOO HIGH BECAUSE WE PAY 1 TIME AND ANOTHER TIME = 2 TIMES THE CLEANING ! THE MANAGER WAS GOOD IN THE BEGINNING BUT WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION, TOOK WHAT SHE WANTED FROM OUR CREDIT CARD AND WE HAD TO RUN AFTER HER TO HAVE AN EXPLICATION. AT LAST, WHEN WE WENT TO CANADA, WE SAW BY MAIL THAT SHE CHANGED THE MOUNT AND KEEPED THE 300 $ BECAUSE THERE WAS SOAP ON THE BATH AND FOOD (ALL GOOD AND AT PHONE SHE SAID IT WILL BE OK TO LET IT FOR THE CLEANER)IN THE FRIDGE ! AFTER MANY EMAILS, SHE GAVE US BACK THE MONEY AND INSULTS US !! BUT IT'S NOT OUR FAULT IF THE ENGLISH IS NOT OUR MOTHER TONG AND WHEN WE ASK AGAIN QUESTIONS. IT'S SAD BECAUSE WE LIKED HER AND IT FINISHED BAD. AN ADVISE : THE CONDO IS VERY GOOD BUT TO DON'T HAVE PROBLEMS, PAY WITH CHEQUE AND NOT CREDIT CARD ! |
