Thanksgiving stay 2011 A guest from Stevensville, MT recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in November, 2011 Very comfortable for 2 people. Comfy bed-takes up most of the room- but unless you plan to just hang out in the Casita it's not a problem. The kitchen was well equipped. Cute working fireplace (remember to open the chain flue before lighting). Comments re improvements: 1) Better window coverings. There is a street light with a motion sensor on it and the light floods the casita making sleeping fitfull. Also, privacy is an issue since the casita is directly on the street (albeit a small side street). The bathroom window has potential to provide a peep show when you are entering/exiting the shower. 2) The bathroom could use a fan to eliminate steam and aromas. That being said, we enjoyed our stay. You can walk to the town square and all the shops. I suggest breakfast at the Taos Diner II right down the road. Also, do not miss going to the Taos Pubelo! The oldest continuously inhabited community in the USA (over 1,000 years)! |

Stayed for 32 days in June, 2011 Needed A/C. I had horribly dry sinus for over a week after I left. Only one of us was able to stay as I could only tolerate 3 nights with the dryness and no A/C. STAFF WAS FANTASTIC! |

Our stay at Las Casita *2 A guest from martinsvlille, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 31 days in August, 2009 This is a great place to stay, especially for a long visit, as it is quite convenient and within walking distance of the Plaza, Bent Street, galleries, and museums. Walking around Taos is one of our favorite activities, and this location is perfect for being able to walk through out the main areas of interest plus walking through the neighborhoods.Since we were away from home for six weeks total, we had our small dog with us. We would not have left her for that long a period, so it was nice to have a dog friendly environment. We have stayed here before and always felt safe, partly because the outside gates were locked. This visit, however, one of the renters left their gate open most of the time, evening using a rock to hold the gate open. And the gate lock was broken the entire month we were there.Amber was most helpful and responsive to any needs that we had. She was great to work with. The only negatives were the unlocked gate and some pans not being very clean.Judith K. Matthews |
