THIS HOME MAY HAVE A MINIMUM NIGHT STAY BASED ON SEASONALITY AND AVAILABILITY.
Located in the fabulous Museum Hill district of Santa Fe, Moonstar provides guests with a wonderful Santa Fe pet-friendly rental. This 4-Bedroom home is sheltered by Sun and Moon Mountain on over two acres with wonderful views of the Santa Fe sunsets and City lights. Yet, there is quick access to Canyon Road, Museum Hill, shopping, and the historic Plaza driving into town on the scenic Santa Fe Trail. Large enough for a family but intimate enough for a couple. There are Four Bedroom suites; three with kiva fireplaces (traditional Santa Fe fireplaces). The Master bedroom offers a fabulous bathroom with separate tub and shower. The secluded guest wing offers a full bath as well. The other two bedrooms share a full hall bath.
The large open living room and dining room has a formal ambiance but with a fireplace and Santa Fe touches, vigas, brick floors and entertainment center, you will feel right at home. There is a sofa bed in the living room in case you need extra sleeping.
This home is 3000 sq ft and has authentic Santa Fe beauty and style. The kitchen has granite countertops and a breakfast nook for informal dining. The original Native American artwork confirms you are in the Southwest. There are several televisions and a music system to relax by the fireplace and enjoy the quiet beauty of this unforgettable home.
There is air conditioning for those warm summer nights. And, for the chilly fall nights, there is a covered portal with dining table and kiva fireplace and BBQ. From here or the rooftop deck with 360 degree views you can enjoy sunsets and the deer meandering around the pinion covered property. Please note that this home may require a 4 wheel drive during the winter months. There is RV parking and hook ups as well as 2.5 private fenced and gated acres of Santa Fe beauty.

The location is very handy to downtown. The drive to the ski slopes is a little long, but they mentioned that when I booked it. However, I wanted to let you know a few things that happened with our rental this time (I have rented from Kokopelli several times in the past).1) The toilet in one of the bathrooms was stopped up when we arrived. We called maintenance to get it addressed and left a message. Several hours later, they returned the call while we were out to dinner and said that they couldn't do anything about it because we were not in the house and would have to wait. One of my guests fixed it in the meantime that night. In the morning, someone came by but left before I had a chance to talk with them.2) That first night, when we returned from dinner, the code we had been given for the communtity gate did not work. We tried and tried. Finally had one of our "smallest " members climb through the gate, walk up to the house and get the emergency phone number. The person that we spoke with tried to get in touch with Kokopelli with no luck and had no advice to give us. After about twenty minutes, a resident showed up and let us know that the code had been changed a couple of weeks prior. We were then able to get in.3) There was a dead mouse in the master bath when we arrived. We removed it ourselves.The reason that I gave a "3" for cleanliness was because the floors were very dusty and the dead mouse.As I own by own tour company and evaluations are the only way I can track the quality of our tours, I wanted to let you know these things. That said, our visit was enjoyable and I will book again with Kokopelli. Marcia is a delight to work with!Cari Malver |

Only concern - GLAD we arrived in Santa Fe early and drove directly to the rental office! It was a holiday and NOONE had prepared our paper work! Luckily two employees were in the locked office (we saw movement inside) and they stopped to prepare our paper work and give us a key to get in the rental. Whew! Also - in order to use the TV in the master bedroom, we had to go to the living room and "swipe" the Direct TV control. CUTE! |

We enjoyed all those things at this property. Santa Fe is a magical place to spend any holiday and this house complimented that feeling. There were a few things that we felt might help others have an easier time. The gate code didn't work for our guest so we had to drive down each time and let them in. The kitchen was beautiful and lived up to the expectation of a large house for our group. The property was very clean and charming. I would say though as a whole this property was so beautiful and exceeded our expectation. Our only draw back was that the home lacked some basics like good cutting knives, and basic kitchen essentials. I would rent it again and look forward to coming back. |

Stayed for 7 days in July, 2011 We loved Moonstar and all the family space it provided. It was well-equiped with flatscreen, wi-fi, kitchen appliances, etc. The rooftop deck was the very best. The location is away from the plaza but with easy access. We did chase a few mice in the house, and had issues with a dirty oven and not so clean floors, but overall it was a great rental. |

Stayed for 3 days in September, 2010 Having paid close to $2000 for three nights in this upscale home, I expected and hoped for much better service from the property management company. This home is exceptionally beautiful, nicely decorated and a true "dream home." However, we had pre-arranged a check in time of 12pm and at 12pm no one was available to assist us and we were told we could not even get an estimate as to when they would let us in. We waited an hour and 15 minutes in the sun with perishables in our car just to get the keys. The garage door was not functioning properly. There were wholly insufficient supplies in the house for 10 people (one small trashbag in the kitchen can with no replacements, NO SOAP in two of the bathrooms, NO DISHWASHER SOAP, inadequate toilet paper, and NOT ENOUGH PLATES AND GLASSES for 10 people). When we asked for additional trashbags and diswashing soap, we were told be had to buy our own. Exceptionally poor handling for an upscale home. This property is exceptional, but I would not recommend renting from a company who so clearly did not handle even the basics very well at all. |
