A brand new villa set in an idyllic location with direct views over Brossac lake.
Our villa has 3 bedrooms, one double, one twin and the third has two sets of bunk beds. We also have a convertable sofa bed situated in the living room with can accommodate two more people. The villa is furnished to a very high standard with all mod cons. We have a flat screen LCD TV, English and French channels available, and DVD player along with a select of films for you to choose from. There is also a music system and CD's are provided. The kitchen has every thing you may need if you decide to cook some of the delicious local produce available from nearby markets. Fully fitted electric oven, gas hob, mirowave, fridge freezer and full size dishwasher. We also have a fitted washing machine, tumble dryer and full ironing facilities. The bedroom's are furnished to the same high standards and we have provided quality mattresses to ensure you a restful nights sleep.The double bedroom has a ensuite bathroom with a full size walk in shower. There is also a further full bathroom with a shower over the bath and seperate toilet. The second bedroom has two twin beds and the thirds has bunk beds and can sleep four. The living/dining area has two full settee's, each can sit 3 people, and a dining table which can easily seat 8 people. French doors lead from the living room to the terrace which also has a range of outside furniture. The terrace has fantastic views across the lake and countryside. Etang Vallier has an onsite swimming pool which is open from June to September. There is also a man made beach along the lake side and swimming in the lake. In high seasons there are planned activities to keep the whole family enterained. Fishing is also permitted on the lake and we have had many successful catches. In high season bikes are available for hire and will allow you to explore the beautiful countryside at a leisurely pace.There are numerous restaurants located near our property with the nearest being on the lake side a few metres away, excellent food at very reasonable prices. Brossac village is 1km away and also has two restaurants, i can highly recommend Saint Bernards it great . A little further a field, a few minutes drive, you will find Chalais or Barbezieux which both have a good selection of bars/restaurants. I would also highly recommended a little restaurants in a village called Bardenac a couple of minutes drive from our villa. The restaurant has been in the same family for 30 years and only opens at dinner time. You have to be a little adventurous as there is no menu available, you are presented with a selection of dishes of the day. This usually consists of around six courses, including cheese, of typical french country cooking. The quality is excellent and all for 12 euros!!The nearest shop is in Brossac village, local spar shop, along with a butchers and bread shop. The nearest suppermarket is in Chalais, intermarche. Bedding provided; Towels available for rent if required; Electricity charged by the unit.
