Great Views, Convenient, Poorly Managed, Under Construction David R. from Mattawan, MI does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2010 The condo itself was clean. The location and view were as wonderful as advertised. The condo had a great location in the heart of Hilton Head Island that made walking to local shops and restaurants convenient.As for the condition of the facility, we were less than pleased. The hot tub was out of service for two days. The poolside restaurant/concession stand was under construction for our entire stay and could not be used.The elevators and the stairwells were littered with trash and appears as though they had not been serviced in some time.The poolside rest rooms were filthy and comparable to that of a gas station restroom.The condo was under heavy maintenance/construction while we were there. Construction started promptly at 7:30 a.m. and lasted all day. We called the rental company on the second day and were told that they knew nothing about the construction. They claimed to have called the local site manager who assured them that construction would stop on Tuesday. It did not. In fact, construction lasted the entire week we were there. |

I stopped a person trying to steal my bicycle, he had cut the lock cable with a hacksaw and was trying to load the bike into the back of his car when I notice the bike missing and confronted him. He was parked in the restaurant parking and had walked in to steal the bike. |

Stayed for 7 days in August, 2007 We were not overly happy with the unit this past summer - the washer and dryer were not good and did not work well and the appliances in the kitchen were very low budget - we actually went out and bought a new coffee maker for our week there. We would not take this unit again as the overall quality of the furnishings and amenities is below what we expect. We are coming back again this summer but were able to get into our first choice unit - number 3501 as we love that unit. |

Curtains are inadequate to block the light, so we ended up taping paper in place to be dark enough to sleep. We were surprised by the expensive, very bad food we found in the Coligny circle area. Expect to be disappointed --- and to use the lovely kitchen in the condo! The beach is gorgeous and very close. Renting a chair on the beach was worth the sizeable expense. |

We have stayed there many, many times and have recommended it to family and friends, who have stayed there because of our praise. Along with Chatham, MA (Cape Cod) it is our favorite place to vacation, just wish it wasn't so far away! We love being close to Coligny and really enjoy the pool beach. Our villa is always fantastic, and we always get a room with a view...usually oceanfront! The villa we rented the last visit is usually the one we request, because we love it so much! |
