Wildwood at Whistler
Ron T. from Claremont, ON recommends this property.
Stayed for 5 days in March, 2015
Great Experience. We were surprised how good our stay was without being right in the lower Whistler Village. Free shuttle busing was great and meant that we did less walking with ski boots on that when we were in the village. By taking the bus we found we had better accommodation for the same price.

Faith B. from Bellingham, WA does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 5 days in January, 2015
The unit is VERY outdated. Appliances must be from the 80s. Coffee pot worked but leaked every a.m. Forgot wallet ($1000) on bed - when we called back 2 hours later they said they couldn't find it. Hmmmmm. The wifi next to never worked. Multiple times we called front office/contact info and there was no one to answer and didn't receive calls back. I've stayed in far nicer condos in Whistler for less money. Would not stay in this unit again.

Report sent to guest.
My front desk manager is a retired military pilot with a perfect career record and my housekeeper is bonded and has a 30 year unblemished record at hotels including the Chateau Whistler.

Here is the report I got:

" the head housekeeper and I tore the place apart looking for it (wallet), including digging through every garbage can in the building and checking all the laundry bags. I did see the guy out front of the building setting things on the roof of his car while he was opening the door which is why I?m sure the wallet went into a ditch at the first corner he took with any speed."

As for the review you posted, it is uncalled for. That unit has been well taken care of and is clean and in excellent condition. You might have had different expectations, but it was not worthy of your criticisms.

If you think it is outdated, then that applies to most properties in Whistler. Outdated can also be clean and comfortable regardless of age. If you needed immediate service, the front desk is and was open from 8AM to 8PM and there is always someone there. I do not believe that you asked them for a new coffee maker as we have them in reserve if needed. Perhaps you were using the wrong wifi connection and the front desk could have advised you on that issue.

I suggest that you continue to keep in touch with the Whistler RCMP in case the wallet is turned in at some point. Did you report it to them?

Further investigation indicates that when the wallet was reported missing, the guest called the front desk and indicated that it might have been left on a bedside table or in the garage. Had they said that it was on the bed, my staff would not have wasted so much time looking under every car in the garage.

It is obvious that the wallet was not left in the condo, or my staff would have found it and turned it in.
Guest should be extremely careful about insinuating dishonesty on the part of my long term management and staff.

Place was good, liked the location. Cleaning people forgot to change sheets in fold out couch from last stay as there was a sock and Doritos chip crumbs in the bed.

Property Manager Response:
Response from Peak to Green Accommodations Inc.
As soon as housekeeping was informed of the oversight, they went and changed the sheets. We hope it was not an inconvenience to the guests and that they did not need the sofabed.
There were just 2 people staying in the unit. Thanks.

Great trip, very helpful staff
A guest from Lexington, KY recommends this property.
Stayed for 8 days in December, 2014
First trip to Whistler so had only online info to go on. Ended up very happy with our choice! Enjoyed being at a smaller property and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful- they handled our few concerns (not enough hangers, getting fireplace switched on) right away. Condo was just as advertised, clean and not too worn with plenty of room, a separate dressing are next to bathroom which we used a lot. Enjoyed the comraderie at the hottub which was never too crowded and sometimes we had it to ourselves which was nice. Not enough snow yet to ski in and out and village a bit of a walk but we enjoyed that. Bus stops right in front if you prefer to travel that way. A great trip!

My stay was absolutely great. The staff were always helpful the rooms were very well equipped the layout of the small apartment a bathroom kitchen bedroom and den with a pullout coach was excellent to have of course the spa and pool were bonus but the quiet peaceful backwoods at my door was great. the parking and extra bike storage was truly a gift. Thanks for all you have done to make me feel at home. My recommendation is to tell others to try it. it is so peaceful.

Whistler Holiday
John S. from Lake Stevens, WA does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 4 days in July, 2014
Our holiday in Whistler was absolutely beautiful. The weather and scenery was spectacular. Wildwood property was in a nice location away from the village but close enough (10 min) to walk to. It was easy connecting to the trails with our bikes and after a long day of activity the pool and hot tub was inviting. I wasn't to pleased with our accommodations. The condo is not air conditioned, not did it have a fan. My recommendation is bring a fan in the summer time. The furniture was simple, but could use some updating. Having free parking and wifi was a nice touch from the management.

Property Manager Response:

I wish we could control the climate. All properties have fans available, but sometimes guests have to ask for them.

Cross the street and strap your skis on to get to the Blackcomb Wizard Express chair. Shuttles every 15 minutes will bring you to Whistler village and beyond. Great location and very quiet. Hot tub is outdoor and covered with a view of the mountains. All together we had a very nice stay.

A guest from Toronto, ON does not recommend this property.

Old building, old unit with no renovations, old furniture with no tasteful decorating. Was not expecting 5-star as price was somewhat reasonable (avg of $150 per night), but value for money expectation was not met.

Jon F. from Bothell, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in April, 2012
Awesome layout, quality room but some if the furniture & fixtures could use a little tlc. For example the vertical blinds in one room were a little worse for wear and wouldn't close properly.Awesome staff always went the extra mile whenever we asked for anything. We would have liked for the pool to be open during the winter months. All in all we had a great time and I thought we got a fair amount for our money.

Stayed for 5 days in January, 2012
condo decoration was very outdated

Property Manager Response:
Response from Peak to Green Accommodations Inc.
Guest is entitled to his opinion, but the unit is similar to the majority of rentals in Whistler. The owners upgrade as they can afford to do so. Since the guest left, twifhis owner has just installed a new sofabed as an example. The most pressing issue this winter has been the DEMAND by guests for 'free wifi'. The owners have provided that service and still don't charge for parking. Sometimes you have to overlook a bit of outdated facilities for comfort and other free amenities. Manager

A guest from Whistler, BC recommends this property.

I was very satisfied. Wildwood Lodge in general is very quiet, access to lifts and bike trails is very convenient and close, bus stop of free shuttle bus just in front of the Wildwood lodge. Big and clean Hot-tub and during summer pool is amazing.#211 is very nice unit facing the forest, so you can find there a very calm environment which is for me more valuable than have a mountain view and unit facing the pool or hot-tub which could be little bit noisy.I really recommend this unit as well as this company.

Wildwood lodge needs upgrading and renovating for the price
A guest from Waiouku, Hawaii does not recommend this property.
Stayed for 5 days in February, 2008
We found the condo to be somewhat dingy and in dire need or renovating and upgrading, particularly for the price. There were not adequate kitchen supplies available at all for cooking, which was partly why we booked there.
The hot tub was not in operation!! Which was the PRIMARY reason we booked there. The managers were unable to offer an alternative hot tub. It was a true disappoint.

The hot tub has undergone a major upgrade along with most of the Wildwood Lodge, since this stay. Condo has also undergone upgrades.
