Come stay at Robin's Nest in South Beach! Our wonderful room (360 sq feet) faces the ocean in the beautifully renovated Art Deco Shelborne Hotel, at Collins and 18th, once home to the Miss America Pagent.

Our 6th floor room has 12 foot wide windows which give a very light and airy feeling. You overlook the art deco pool and the ocean, facing directly east. In the room are two fullsize beds, a large comfy leather club chair and ottoman, huge dresser, round dining table and two chairs, and a small kitchenette area. There is one closet and a private bathroom. The TV is mounted off the wall with cable remote. We also have a stereo system (CD/cassette) with remote., kitchen appliances and linens.

The Shelborne is walking distance to Lincoln Road, Ocean Drive, The Bass Museum of Art, the Jackie Gleason Center for the Performing Arts, the Convention Center, the New World Symphony, The Wolfsonian Museum, etc. It's on the same block at the Shore Club, across the street from the Raleigh, 2 blocks from the Delano and the Townhouse Hotels, so it's right n the middle of the hottest hotel nightlife action in South Beach! We are about a 20 minute ride from Miami Airport. There is wireless hi-fi internet in the Shelborne lobby and pool area.

Although this is a hotel, (100% private ownership) we rent out our room privately. When we rent it outside of the official hotel program, we pass on the savings to you. However, note that Guests who use it outside of the official hotel rental program are not allowed to make use of room service, Front Desk Services, valet parking, or daily maid service. We have a phone in the for unlimited local outgoing service and incoming calls. You will need to use a credit card or your own cell phone, however, to make long distance or international calls. The hotel doesn't allow you to take the pool towels out to the beach, but we provide you with beach towels and chairs. The hotel has free wireless internet in the lobby and pool area. There is also an internet kiosk in the lobby which you can pay by the minute to use. You can use the restaurants and bars, but won't be able to bill any charges incurred there to your room.

What is provided? Use of the gym, saunas, pool(including towels and chaise), whirlpools, common areas (bar, restaurant, karaoke bar - no charging to room), and luggage cart. There is a concierge who might be helpful with reservations and such.

We will provide you with extra towels. We will also have some basic cleaning supplies in the kitchenette for small clean-ups. There will be some basic food supplies (the unit has a mini-fridge and a microwave) and some appliances (hot water heater, coffeepot, toaster, etc). Of course, we ask our guests to please treat the room with respect and keep it clean.

If you can do without some of these traditional hotel amenities, you will have the use of a great oceanview room on the beach in a hotel in a very hot area of South Beach for 40-60% off the going rate. We look forward to hearing from you.

We request no smoking by our guests in the room.

An $100 advance deposit would be necessary to reserve the room, (non-refundable if you cancel), then a security deposit of $150 (refundable upon check-out) and the amount of the rental in cash (or paid by paypal or check in advance) when we meet you to deliver the key. If you prefer, you can always pay with your credit card via
paypal (4-5% extra). The security deposit will be returned to you at checkout or mailed or paypal-ed to you 48 hours after you leave.

Rates are for two people in the room. Additional guests are $25 extra.
