Torre della Sapienza is a 100-hectares hillside farm, located right in the middle of Umbria, just out of the town of Marsciano and it has been the property of Count Faina's family for generations.
Le Ripe is a two-storied house, perched on a hill with lovely views, carefully restored and divided in five holiday apartments, all with independent access, now available for summer vacation rentals on a weekly basis.
The house is surrounded by a large garden with swimming pool (size 13x6 mts), barbecue, children's playground, covered car parking place.
The surrounding grounds include fields of wheat, sun flowers, olive and walnut groves, more than 10 hectares woods and a beautiful pond - besides the owners' villa and a few other houses.
Torre della Sapienza is located along the Tiber valley, a fifteen-minutes drive south from Perugia, the region's capital.
The nearest town is Marsciano, at approx. 3 kms, where shopping and all sporting and recreational facilities can be found.
Within a short drive from Torre della Sapienza you have Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto, Todi, Montefalco, Spoleto, Spello, Gubbio and many other Umbrian jewels.
Rome, Florence, Siena, Urbino and all historic cities of Central Italy are less than two hours away by car.
Individual apartments are variable in size and can accommodate 2 to 6 people: furniture is traditional in style, including some real antique pieces, solid and comfortable.
Accommodation is self-catered: all apartments are fully equipped for daily use, including outdoor furniture to have dinner in the garden or enjoy a shady spot in the warmest hours of the day.
Normal equipment in each apartment include a 4-burners stove, oven, fridge, Italian coffee maker and aerial TV.
Baby cots and highchairs can be provided on request. Bed linen and bathroom towels are provided for the number of guests stated, and changed weekly.
Wireless Internet access is freely available for all guests to utilize with their own PC (ADSL connection, up to 2 MB/sec).
