Luxurious penthouse- kitchen, cable, gas grill, a/c, private terrace w/Jacuzz
ESQ10 - Just across the street from the beach, this luxurious 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath penthouse condo is located on the top floor with a private jacuzzi off the living room. It comes with custom kitchen, cable TV, gas grill, A/C, and shared roof top terrace.
La Esquina is a unique property consisting of ten luxury condominiums in Tamarindo contained within a gated complex just a few minutes? walk from the famous waves of Langosta Beach. A fabulously wild tropical garden surrounding the antiqued walls of Spanish-style architecture gives La Esquina, from the outside, the appearance of a storybook castle. Inside the walls of the property, the two structures which constitute La Esquina share an ample enclosed parking area in the back and long pristine pool which stretches the length of the buildings on the street side and is masked from the road by the property?s wall and tropical tangle of flowers. La Esquina is a haven of privacy.
Each residence is individually decorated, but the simple lines and earth tones of antique-style architecture create an overall sense of classic elegance, and the luxury of simplicity. The fully equipped kitchens are compact in design, each including a small exterior patio where a state-of-the-art gas grill is located. A common living room and dining area adjoins the kitchen in each of the units and opens through sliding glass doors onto a patio where the interior world of quiet meets the tropical garden and the sound of the sea. The bedrooms are furnished in rich comfort and each open onto a small porch where the songs of crickets and frogs blend in the warm night breeze.
The units vary in size from two-bedroom residences to the spacious three-bedroom penthouse with open-air deck and private Jacuzzi and are crowned by a rooftop terrace that affords a view over the treetops. From this partially shaded sun deck, the Pacific stretches to the horizon. Spectacular sunsets, a galaxy of stars, and the majestic march of the sun are all played across the screen of the sky from this rooftop terrace.
Located just a mile south of Tamarindo?s bustling center, guests at La Esquina have easy access to international cuisine, a variety of adventure tours, shopping, spas, and the area?s pristine National Parks. This haven of comfort and quiet has something for every occasion: a romantic honeymoon, family gathering, reunion of friends, or a surf trip long dreamt-of. Let the endless beauty of the beaches at your doorstep create memories that will last a lifetime.

We were dissapointed because our car stay out of the property they where doing some work and there was a little mess because of that. So that os the only thing that make us feel ??.

Super nice condominium with great views and privacy

A guest from Nepean, ON recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in March, 2015 We had a wonderful vacation in Costa Rica with our friends. We rented the beautiful La Esquina #10 and it was perfect in everyday. The rooms were set up so that each couple had a private bath and terrace. Dinners were on the oversized patio with a view of the ocean and a plunge pool to cool off after and heat of the day. I loved the beautiful pool, that meandered across the full length of the property. Pictures really do not do this suite justice. The security staff and management staff were top notch. We hope to return again and again?.
Property Manager Response: Response from Tropical Vacations Thanks for the great review. We are so glad you had a great time! We hope to see you again.
Nicole C. from Toronto, ON recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2014 This was our first time to Costa Rica, and our first time using a vacation rental company to find a condo. The condo was exactly as described/pictured and was beautiful. It was really clean, modern, and spacious. The 'hot tub' on the balcony was a bonus, but wasn't actually a hot tub, it was more of a 'cool pool', which worked out better cause it was so hot out. The common pool was also amazing. The beach was a few minutes walk down the road which was handy, but difficult to swim because of all the rocks. Tamarindo was about a 20min walk which we did once/day without issue. It was helpful to bring a flashlight for the walk home at night. We took a taxi back a few times which was only $5. Overall it was a fantastic trip and we'd definitely use RPM next time!
Property Manager Response: Response from Tropical Vacations Thank you Nicole for your great review. We are so glad you enjoyed your first stay and that it was with us. Great recommendations for people planning to visit in your review as well . Hopefully we can accommodate you again on your next visit to Costa Rica.
Brianna B. from Wilbraham, MA recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in June, 2014 La Esquina #10 was beautiful! There were 6 of us that stayed and we were very comfortable and had a great time. It was cleanup on arrival and the cleaning service came and did a great job half way through our stay. The beach is walking distance(5minute walk) and you can seethe ocean from the rooftop terrace. It's a great location when you don't want to be completely surrounded by the tourist attractions. With only a mile walk you can be right I the middle of the tourist area. I would definitely return and would recommend to a friend.
Property Manager Response: Response from Tropical Vacations Hi Brianna. This is a very kind review. Thank you. We are very happy to hear the unit was cleaned well by our stay and will pass this positive feedback to them.
A guest from Kingsville, ON recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in February, 2014 Spent two weeks at the condo. There were some minor issues but the property management team dealt with them very quickly. The area was very safe. We were a little disappointed that we were further from the beach than we thought and had a bit of a walk to be at a swim able beach area. Overall we had a good time and would recommend the property and area.
William J. B. from Gig Harbor, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 35 days in January, 2014 A tough one, because the property management for the condo is not the same property management for the building and grounds. I give high marks to RPM, who manages this individual unit, but much lower marks to Summerland, who manages the comples. They have a water problem in the complex which affects everything from the pool to the grounds and shrubbery. The dust from the street is all over everything outside, so that even our outdoor furniture at the condo is all but unusable. La Esquina 10 is a wonderful unit in a good location, but suffers from a lack of attention from the building management.

A guest from MN, recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in February, 2013 My family stayed for 5 days. The condo was in great condition and very clean. The management was very helpful with information and helping us with arrangments. Highly recommend it!
Charlotte C. from New Orleans, LU recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in July, 2012 This was our second time to stay in La Esquina #10 and it was as peaceful and pleasurable as the first. Some things were out of the management's control - it was very dry and dusty for the wet season so not quite as pretty - white dust everywhere - but the maid made it nice in the condo. Those things that went wrong (and something always does) were attended to quickly. The main unit of the air conditioner went out and it took a couple of days to get it fixed. And the elevator wasn't working for most of our stay - kind of an issue when you are on the third floor - but the on-site staff and taxi drivers were very kind about helping us get luggage and groceries up and we needed the exercise after making smoothies every day, cooking in the terrific kitchen and lounging around on the terrace and in the private "cool pool". Our first visit two years ago was perfect and excepting those things that are just going to happen, it was the same this year. Lola and crew are, as always, pleasant, attentive managers who take care of everything and if there is a delay taking care of a problem, they fully explain why - without making excuses. My husband and I are only two and it may seem overkill for us to have a place as large as this but we enjoy the space and quiet. The shared terrace is terrific for sunset - watching and hearing the howler monkeys. It is hard to say good-bye. Pura Vida, indeed!
Mary S. from Reedville, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 This is our return trip to La Esquina #10 and we loved it as much this year as last. All rooms are spacious and well appointed. Each bedroom has its own bath, and there are balconies galore (even ones with gas a grill and jacuzzi). we particularly enjoyed the proximity to the rooftop for birdwatching and ocean views as well as a great place for an evening cocktail.
A guest from Eden Prairie, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in March, 2012 We loved staying in #10 at La Esquina. The condo was perfect especially for us traveling with three young kids. The only bummer was the dusty roads. We would recommend this place to anyone!
A very nice place to stay in Langosta outside of Tamarindo
Richard and Carol D. from Arroyo Grande, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 31 days in January, 2012 We had a very nice time in the spacious unit, our relatives said it was like having their own apt in the space, lots of decks. It is close to the beach and we loved the roof top for sunsets and sunrises. The only downer was the elevator was not working and we were on the 3rd floor, mainly for groceries and luggage, otherwise it was good exercise. The staff were very nice and responsible. The furniture in the living room is showing wear and the bistro across the street sometimes was noisy when we wanted to sleep with our door open, but the Pella doors shut it out. We would go there again, nice to be out of Tamarindo downtown.
A guest from Houston, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2010 The property is great. Everything about the condo amenities, its condition, etc were just as described in the on-line information. We booked a sailing/snorkling trip and a zip-line trip through the condo office and both were fantastic. The beach can be reached easily by walking a short distance through a "green zone" of trees where monkies and iguanas can sometimes be seen. The beach itself is nice although there are large rocks in the surf throughout much of the area. The only downside I'd mention is that the condo is located at the edge of Tamarindo about 1.5 miles down a dusty road(at least during the dry season - we were there in March). You can't really walk back to town as there are no sidewalks and the dust gets kicked up by every passing car. We didn't have a car and needed to take a taxi back into town to get dinner, etc. There are some nice restaurants in the town. I can recommend Nougai's as a casual restaurant with some typical Costa Rican style dishes. Also, Carolina's is a nice place that offers upscale cuisine at a reasonable price.
Kara S. from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2010 This place is awesome--beautifully furnished and tons of space. We really enjoyed the private balconies, and sunsets from the rooftop deck were incredible. We loved everything about our stay here. The pool was great, the beach was just across the street, and restaurants were nice and close (but you'll want to get a car, it's a little far to walk and the roads are dusty). Also, the property management folks were friendly and very responsive. I'd highly recommend La Esquina #10 to anybody!!
A guest from Chicago, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in January, 2010 Really excellent place! Literally 500 feet from a fabulous beach (Longusta). Three large bedrooms with private balconies and bathrooms. Wonderful outdoor space. Very up to date, overall. I would LOVE to stay there again!
Reviewed by: Jaime G. recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2009 Elevator was not working, up in the third floor meant going up and down the stairs with cargo.Besides the place was dusty, thus as in the past spraying molasses on the road settles the problem.Guards should be more helpful with the ladies, at least assisting in loading unloading the vehicles within the building´s parking area.
Sandy M. from Chilliwack BC, Canada recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in December, 2007 Just far enough out of the city to miss all the noise , the codo was huge and beautifully appointed and we really enjoyed the tea pool on the patio, what a cool idea!Three good restraunts you can walk to and the beach was 100 ft away through a park . We walked about 1000ft to the south to a huge sandy beach with no one on it that went for miles. Loved the place the food was way better than Mexico and the people were very helpful and friendly . Note when renting a car get a SUV the bigger the better as the roads are fairly rough and always keep the tank full as there are not many gas stations in Costa Rica and none by any of the beach towns.
