Stayed for 2 days in September, 2009 I recently took a group of seven to Our Cedar Lodge for a weekend Mystery Trip. Our group had a *wonderful* weekend. Groveland happened to be holding their annual "Chili Cook-off" nearby which was a blast to experience.The house was clean and comfortable, we felt at home instantly. Our only regret was not having room in the car for a telescope. The driveway is perfect for nighttime star gazing. |

Overall, a great experience! A guest from East Lansing, Michigan recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2009 We stayed for three nights with family and friends and had a great time! It is a very warm and charming house with great features and amenities. We loved every bit of our stay here! One small suggestion: the second floor door towards the deck does not lock. The management may look into this ASAP since this can be a security hazard. But overall, you cannot go wrong with this place. |

PML Log Cabin - OK, but there's better out there A guest from SF, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2007 This is a decent property, but I have seen others of similar caliber for less money. In addition, we rented because the unit was supposedly wired for high speed internet. Turns out they didn't have it. My husband was in a graduate program that required daily logins. He was forced to go outside and sit on a ledge to try to get to the internet to complete his workload. Ridiculous. Some other little nits - the door in the upstairs bathroom, didn't lock properly, really had to jigger with it; they didn't provide staples like toilet paper --the other homes we have stayed at gave atleast a few roles; some of the cooking supplies were really greasy and there were lots of old condiments in the fridge - which reduced the amount of space we had for our food. I will not rent this one again, but if you decide to do it bring TP, extra cleaning supplies (more than you would normally), and don't expect internet (unless they've fixed it). Pros: The rental company was good enough to refund a partial day stay for us since we had to leave early due to the internet issue, so will give them that and they were pleasant to deal with. The horseshoe pit is fun, saw lots of deer, and the kids had fun! |
