These old farmhouses recently completely restored, are situated in the big agricultural estate of ‘LA BISCINA’, with a surface of ca 350 ha, surrounded by grazing grounds, corn-fields, olive-trees, vineyards and pine-woods.
The complex, marked by the presence of a medieval castle, is situated in magnificent hilly position with a marvellous panorama-view on the below standing valley of the river CHIASCIO and on the surrounding countryside.
It’s 18 km far from Gubbio and 20 km from Assisi, two of the well-known art-cities of Umbria, 18 km far from Perugia and 70 km from Urbino. It’s located , therefore, in the centre of the Umbria region with a lot of artistic and folkloristic attractions.
One of the things that make this estate so peculiar is that it’s situated exactly on the ‘Strada Francescana’, the old way that S. FRANCESCO was used to cover coming on foot from Assisi to Gubbio.The farmhouses have been restored maintaining intact the old characteristics but they are now equipped with all modern comforts. At disposal of the guests: a nice pool (each CASALE has own one) equipped with umbrellas and chairs, surrounded by the greenery and with a magnificent view on the countryside and on the below valleys, shady spots equipped with table and chairs all around the houses, barbecue-area, a still working wood burning oven. Possibility to buy foodstuffs as bread, milk etc.. and typical local products as wine, oil, honey, jams.. at the reception (when it is available). And to have meal in the new typical Umbrian restaurant inside the estate.
Possibility to rent mountain-bikes. The apartments are very well furnished in typical Umbrian style and dispose all of them of colour-TV.
