The name of our apartment comes after one of the trees surrounding the building, a luxuriant medlar (“nespolo”) the branches and the leaves of which, together with the many plants in the garden, endow our guests with a very pleasant atmosphere made of green, flowers and sweet fruits in season. We are happy to share with you this ideal situation which, we believe, will grant you a memorable stay in Bologna, the friendliest, most hospitable city in Italy.
The house is situated in one of the classiest residential areas of Bologna, the foot of its beautiful hills. It is an extremely quiet, deep-in-the-green area, far from the chaos of the center yet very close and connected to it by the efficient, inexpensive public transportation system (stops nearby). Shops and stores, restaurants, pizzerias and trattorias, ice cream parlors, the largest park in town (pond, tennis court, great for the kids) and a great public swimming pool are at walking distance. Together with all those on-site amenities, this excellent location makes of Il Nespolo the ideal headquarters for those willing to comfortably spend time in Bologna for leisure, tourism, business, etc.. As well as the historical center (Piazza Maggiore is no more than 15 minutes), the fairground is easily reachable and so are the University, the railroad station and all the other hot spots in this world-renown capital of gourmet food, fashion and culture.
The apartment – a true jewel of quality and class – is without any doubt one of the most prestigious rentals in Bologna. Bright, roomy, extremely clean, completely refurbished in May-June 2009 and furnished both with antiques and top-quality crafts, Il Nespolo has everything is needed for a very pleasant stay – from a dishwasher to a washing machine, a microwave oven, a wide, modern, efficient kitchen featuring all the possible accessories and appliances, telephone, a tv set, etc.. The whole apartment is air conditioned and wi-fi internet connected. All the decoration, furnishing, linen, etc. have been selected among the best available objects with plenty of love and zest, your comfort and pleasure of living in mind.
Il Nespolo can host up to 6 guests in two bedrooms with two single beds each that can be put together to form a queen-size, a large living-dining room featuring two single sofabeds and a couch, a very functional, clean bathroom with a shower, a wide kitchen, a spacious hallway and a small storage room. The garden surrounding the house is accessible and the apartment – a ground floor – is suitable for wheelchairs and all different needs. Peace of mind is guaranteed by a sturdy safety door and windows. Quiet, silence and relax are total at every time of the day. Free, safe on-street parking is available right at the door.
