"Leeward House" is a superb 2-bedroom, 2-bath fully-screened villa located on the Round Hill Estate on the north end of Nevis. The house is beautifully decorated with a blend of both antique and contemporary furniture, and is accented by comfortable cottons and rich mahogany. Both bedrooms are air-conditioned, and open onto the covered ocean view verandah. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed and ensuite bathroom with tub and hand-held shower. The guest bedroom, on the other side of the living room, has 2 twin beds and a shower in its ensuite bathroom. "Leeward House" also has an air-conditioned library (screens and fans) with day-bed for a 5th person. The gourmet kitchen has every amenity, including washer/dryer and is also screened and air-conditioned. Leeward's verandah overlooks the blue-tiled pool, with panoramic views across the Caribbean. Adjacent to the pool is a canvas pavilion for shade, and the entire property is surrounded by impeccably groomed gardens. Another convenient feature is the short 5-minute drive to Nisbet Beach, one of the Caribbean's best. And should you desire gourmet dining, simply take a leisurely 1-minute stroll down the lane to the Mt. Nevis Hotel, noted for its excellent cuisine. Numerous hiking areas are nearby, including ruins of the historic Cottle Church built in the early 1800's. "Leeward House" has cable, fax, and generator, and welcomes well-behaved children: please note there are stone steps leading from the verandah to the garden, which may be precarious for toddlers.
