This unique villa is truly incredible. Mexican (MEX) was built in the seventies by the entrepreneur Miles Reinke, former owner of the famous Castelets, the villa was built with Mexican materials, by Mexican workers in a traditional Mexican hacienda design. Later owned by the Russian Ballet dancer, Misha Baryshnikov in an era when many dancers came to St. Barth. The present owner has totally renovated this villa, bringing back its former glory and respecting the soul and history of the house. Hand made brick and terracotta, arched ceilings give the rooms volume, the thick walls contain the water cisterns keeping the rooms cool, large arched wooden doors let air pass freely throughout the villa. The villa is rented as a 3bedroom/2bathroom. The unique access to the third bedroom is up a ladder, as its on the mezzine level complete with its own sitting area and one of the very few fireplaces on St. Barths. The air-conditioned bedrooms are elegant and beautifully appointed. The bathrooms have hand-painted Mexican tiles with concealed Victorian style toilets. The spacious living room has big jade sofa and off white chairs. There is an area to play chess and a desk with cordless internet access. Outside at the entrance of the villa, Colorful bougainvillea dance in the wind as you enter the courtyard, where the incredible view of over St. Jean and the Eden Rock take your breath away. Relax under the gazebo on the cozy sofas, or grill lunch on the stone BBQ. Around the pool is terracotta tiling with a green lawn at the end of the villa. * Garden: Mature lush gardens with exceptionally colorful bougainvillea that welcomes you to the villa.
* Kitchen: Small state-of-the-art kitchen. There is a hand built stone grill in the garden for BBQ.
* Living Room: Large living room with high brick ceiling and jade green sofas. Hacienda style with wooden arched doors leading on to the terrace.
