This magnificent traditional two storey mansion, built in 1878, is located in the heart of picturesque Megalochori village. The original villa structure has been gracefully renovated and restored to its authentic splendour, and retains the genuine layout and classic Santorini features. A large cobble stone courtyard borders a large swimming pool and outdoor setting. Villa lower level: The Canava, once a wine cellar and workshop, has been transformed into an amazing living abode, retaining many original features. The smooth rock face interior provides a cool relaxing haven. The courtyard, via three barn-doors, leads to the various rooms. The central, full amenities kitchen opens onto a beautifully lit dining and sitting area. Two comfortable bedrooms share dressing room and bathroom. A separate, third bedroom, accessible from the courtyard, has en-suite bathroom. Villa upper level: The winery mansion, accessed by an outside staircase, has own spacious terrace allowing lovely village and countryside views. A well equipped, traditional kitchen gives onto a formal dining area suitable for entertaining. An adjoining cozy sitting area invites guests to relax and unwind. Furnished with antique pieces, a bright and airy master bedroom shares an attractive bathroom with a second, large attic-level bedroom. This very exceptional property allows guests to enjoy a really different and distinguished Greek island vacation. *Weekly rates include: airport transfers, porter to assit with luggage,daily housekeeping, concierge service, internet access from our centrally situated office in the square of Magalochori and one manual car for the duration of the stay (Hyundai Atos type with unlimited kms & 3rd party insurance) and taxes. The airport is 8kms/15minute drive. This villa sleeps 10 people.
