Perched just above Long Bay beach amid luxuriant hillside gardens, Equinox overlooks one of the most dramatic seascapes in the Caribbean. The view from the pool & courtyard encompasses nearly an acre of hibiscus, oleander & bougainvillea towards a vast palm grove that frames 2 of Tortola's most breathtaking beaches.Each section of this charming Mediterranean-style villa is nestled around the open-air courtyard & swimming pool. The main building includes a high-ceilinged, air-conditioned living area, fully equipped kitchen, separate bar, & spacious dining area spilling out onto the central courtyard. Two air-conditioned bedrooms are located in the main building, up a few mezzanine steps from the great room. The air-conditioned master bedroom suite (with its own kitchenette & small terrace) is located in a separate building just beyond the pool. This layout offers maximum comfort & privacy, whether for 3 couples or a family with older kids (PLEASE NOTE: this arrangement is not conducive to families with small children, as one has to walk past a narrow pool deck to access the master bedroom). Equinox is less than a 1-minute drive to Tortola's renowned Long Bay Beach, and approximately 3 or 4 minutes from the soft sands of Smuggler's Cove. Restaurants, boutiques, watersport & ferries at West End/Soper's Hole are 10 minutes by car. For larger parties traveling together, Equinox may be combined with Bella Vista (RH VIS), located just above Equinox, or Zebra House (RH ZEB), which is across the street; neither of these villas, however, is deluxe. The rate over Thanksgiving is $4,800 per week. Security deposit is $500 (refundable 45 days after departure). Equinox has additional 7% tax & 8% service (not 10% as is normally charged on Tortola).
