The Chateau and Carriage House offer you historic features dating from the 11th Century, luxurious furnishings and antiques, and a world of tranquil beauty and classical chateau life. We are a wonderful base when visiting the numerous treasures of the Loire Valley, from the magnificent Chateaux, to the vast array of vineyards, such as Chinon, Saumur and Vouvray, brocante and antique shops, exploring the numerous charming French towns and villages, or sampling the local produce and cheeses at the open air markets. You may also choose to enjoy the peace and tranquility of our walled property with our numerous gardens within our nine acres to wander and ponder, or escape to our pool and pool house. You will discover how relaxing the French countryside can be. Chateau de Bournand is a place where history and nature offer you the peace and beauty of another time and place.Four of our five chateau, courtyard and manor house bedrooms are suited and all have en-suite bathrooms. A delicious breakfast is included. The salons are lovely places to read, catch up on the news or select a video from our collection. Computer use is available. Our small village offers a grocery, patisserie, butcher shop and a new restaurant, all within walking distance, that our guests greatly enjoy. We offer various places to picnic, the use of a refrigerator and a gas grill. Our Carriage House rents by the week or longer. The first floor features a large salon and a separate dining area, a full kitchen, and powder room. The second floor has one queen and one twin bedded room, both with new bathrooms. We do not provide breakfast, but it can be purchased if desired. Linens and towels are changed weekly, or as needed.
