The house on kauai was wonderful. It was nice and big. The kids loved all the bikes. We loved the view from the house. We would stay there again.

The house was perfect for our stay in Feb. 2009. We had eight guests and we were all very comfortable. All the amenities were far better than I had expected to find.

Very nice property on the golf course with lots of room for up to 12. Also lots of beach toys in the garage for the kids to keep busy with. We really enjoyed our stay.

Complicated/sweaty vacation

Unfortunately this home is located next door to current construction and the hot tub is out of service. Luckily the management company relocated us to another property, but only for a portion of our stay, which required us to pack and unpack on two occasions. There was much confusion between the owner and management company and several phone calls between ourselves to resolve what should have been a straightforward issue. We did not plan to spend our time in Hawaii on the phone, nor packing and unpacking suitcases. In addition, this house is very hot inside (no a/c) and does not get adequate breezes/ventilation to cool it down. We spent most of our time there either sweating profusely or avoiding the property until late in the evening.

We are so sorry about the none working hot tub and the inconvenience of having to move. Being one of busiest times of the year we had limited available properties to offer you and even contacted many other companies to try and re-locate you and your family. Being on a little island out in the Pacific often makes repairs difficult as parts more often than not have to be shipped in. A/C is becoming much more popular especially during the summer months when our tropcial humidity can be a little hard to get used to.
We have also been in contact with the contractor to the project next door and are offering Emmalani Kai at a base rental rate of $200.00 per night during this time. We hope you and your family still enoyed your time here on Kauai even through the miscommunications, heat, and moving.

It is a beautiful home in a great setting (even though we are not golfers). Our only complaint is that we were not advised in advance that there is construction of a home presently taking place next door. It was not overly noisy, but it would have been nice if we had been told in advance.

The home was beautiful and extremely well equipped--especially the kitchen. The only down side to our stay was the home being built next door--construction crews started at 7 a.m. every morning except Sunday with nail guns, saws, etc.
The other problem we had was fleas in the carpet which bit and caused a great deal of discomfort. I hope this is taken care of before the next guests arrive! We would have had to vacuum the whole house and then vacate the home for 5 hrs. to remedy this problem. Couldn't do that.
Love the area and the home sans construction and fleas.

Relaxing and Versatile Vacation House

The Emmalani Kai house had a nice layout for several families to stay in as there is a separate wing with kitchen. It had a very peaceful lanai with a nice view overlooking the golf course and a beautiful grove of trees. It was close to the local supermarket and within walking distance of the beaches. The house was beautiful, luxurious and clean with lots of recreational equipment and a very large, well kept hot tub. I would definitely recommend this house to visitors especially those with multiple groups of people.

We loved this vacation rental. We would recommend it, as well as return to this vacation rental! The beds were fantastic. It was so nicely equipped with all of the extras,bikes, surfboards, snorkeling equipment, etc. It was great!!
