Stayed for 7 days in May, 2011 I was a little concerned about staying in a home with the only reviews that I could find on the internet from a few years ago. I was PLEASANTLY SURPRISED! I dealt with a very patient Angela at ReMax who dealt with my concerns regarding cleanliness of the house as well as pool. Hale Mahana was very clean. In addition, the owners have made it very convenient for the guests. They have everything that a guest could need in a vacation home including sand toys and boogie boards. My 4 year old son did not want to leave "his Kauai home!" And, in the end, I had the pleasure of dealing with Angela's equally kind parents, Jim and Cyrila, when my father unfortunately broke a lamp and my son locked us out of one of the bedrooms. Jim came over immediately to unlock the dooor, and we were able to catch our flight that day. As an attorney from SF who works long hours, it was the perfect getaway to spend quality time with my family! Thank you so much to the owners and property managers for the wonderful hospitality and providing a great place to stay! I intend to be back next year! |

Best Vacation of Our Lives William S. from Lakewood, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2008 This was the most relaxing, fun vacation we have been on as a family. We took advantage of the available sporting equipment, was great to not have to take our own beach towels, snorkeling eq., boogie boards, etc. Although the rental list stated there were golf clubs available (I couldn't find any) I decided to take surfing lessons instead. I can golf in Colorado, but I can't surf.We grilled some excellent Ahi on the gas grill, and swam several times every day.My wife really misses the pool.Thanks for the great rental!!!!!!!! |

Stayed for 7 days in April, 2008 We enjoyed our stay and it is a very nicve place but it was not perfect. The pool maintenance was neglected and there were a number of unsightly large dead disgusting insects found in common areas. This is a nice property and we plan to visit again if these maintenance issues are addressed properly. |
