We stayed in the same house two years and we were surprised how much the property had changed. The house smelled horrible. The management company return a phone call on Easter and got some one out to clean the carpets the next day. However, it turned out that the broken disposal was the cause of the bad smell. |

We had a few suggestions, another TV in upstairs bedroom and a kingsize bed would be nice since it's a big beautiful room. We loved the patio and it was only a couple blocks to a Great beach for younger kids. Also, thank you, Kathy , for solving our one problemso efficently and timely...I would be happy to recommend this property! Stayed for 7 days in September, 2012 When we found out my daughter was getting married in San Diego (which we know well), we decided to rent a house to accommodate us and other relatives coming in for the occasion. We chose this house due to a combination of price and location. We were not disappointed - the house was more than large enough for the six staying there, and for the various pre-wedding activities we hosted, which pushed the number to 11. Everything in the house worked as advertised (wifi and washer/dryer particularly important). The location is incredibly central to virtually all of San Diego. Nearby Ingraham St. is busy, but Yosemite is very residential and quiet. It is only two blocks to the beautiful concrete "boardwalk" around Mission Bay (great for walking/running/biking), a liquor store and cute coffee shop just a block away, 5 min. to Mission Beach and all it offers, etc., etc. We're accustomed to renting at the New Jersey shore, and the house was similar to many there. There were a couple of little things that could be improved: the addition of table lamps in bedrooms; with no a/c, a couple of stand-up fans for bedrooms (we found out you can't buy a fan in SD in Sept.!); addition of a set of beach stuff - a few chairs, beach towels, umbrella, etc. (you're at the beach, after all); having a few old beat-up bikes available. On the whole, a wonderful experience. We were truly sorry to leave, would definitely rent this house again. |

This was the first time we had chosen a vacation rental over a hotel and it couldn't have been better. There was plenty of space for everyone. We truly enjoyed the deck and walking through the neighborhood; very quiet and peaceful.Nearly every major attraction is within 10 minutes of the property; sea world is 1 mile away. The only issue was that the it was unseasonably hot (90+ and humid) during most of our stay and there was no air conditioning in the home. Please note: This was not the fault of the owner or SDVR because it is disclosed on the website...we were just unlucky with the weather.Thank you SDVR for making out stay wonderful! |

It was a quick walk to watch the Sea World fireworks over the bay everynight! The back yard and deck are beautiful. We are a family of 8 and never felt crowded. The house was cleaned and well supplied. The only thing I would have liked that we didn't have were some beach chairs and a few better kitchen knives. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 The house was "cute" on the outside but was very basic and had no A/C, which is a real problem because you have to keep the windows open, which makes it hard to sleep given the noise from the numerous nearby bars and liquor stores. Also, my father died which forced us to postpone our trip 4 days. The mgt company gave zero credit or consideration. Even after spending thousands for nights we didn't stay there, we left early and checked into a hotel bc the property condition was that weak. |

We were pleased by how near we were to Sea World and to the beach. Our only complaint is that the guest book instructions could use some updating. (It took us a while to find the sheets for the air mattress since they weren't in the location the book indicated and we never did find the sheets for the fold out bed, but luckily we didn't need them. It also mentioned some beach type things that weren't there.) |

It has an enormous penthouse style bedroom upstairs with own bathroom. Other 3 bedrooms are small and on ground floor but with lots of closet space. Downstairs has family room and living room. In addition to big fenced in yard it also has very long fenced in driveway perfect for basketball ( balls supplied!). Location was superb, close to beaches, really close to Bay, and short drive to grocery store and restaurants. Seaworld is not even a 5 minute drive!Tons of books to read, DVD player ( Redbox around the corner) and free WIFI. |
