Lovely condo on Kauai

Our family stayed at this condo for just a few short days but we wish we had been able to stay much longer. The unit is beautifully decorated and maintained.

The unit itself was great. There were a few deficiencies that I noted on the sheet in the unit before we left. Some were addressed while we were there by the owner which was great. Thanks for the quick response on those items. We've stayed at other planatation units, 3 of them with family at Christmas 2 years ago and many of the units had those little extras which made the stay more pleasant. Also the street noise was a factor.I realize we got a discount on the rate because of it but I think that i wouldn't choose this unit due to the noise in the future.

The reason I gav3e only to stars to the question on the property manager was because we never saw any of the staff. I didn't even know where the managers office was located. I din't know the cleaaning schedule or where the pool was located. The only thing I knew for sure was thaat we needed to vacate the premises by 11:00 AM.

The rental list as a three bedroom, but was really a two bedroom with a study. My adult son had to sleep on an air mattress and was very uncomfortable. If it were listed correctly, it never would have come up on our search request. Once we committed to the property, we discovered the misinformation. The rental agency did offer to free us from the lease, but at that point we had already notified other property owners that we were not going to rent their units. It put us in an awkward position. I specifically asked about any construction in the area and was assured that there was none going on close to the property. Much to my surprise, the golf course directly across the street was being redesigned. This meant that every morning at 7 AM, earth moving equipment and backhoes would start there engines. In addition, this unit is on a very loud corner lot and most mornings we we awaken by the squealing of tires, loud motorcycles and general early morning work traffic. The property listed beach chairs, beach mats, an umbrella, and a cooler. None of this equipment was available and therefore we had to spend additional funds renting them.On a positive note, the home's interior and overall development were beautiful. The staff was friendly and they did let us check in a few hours early so that we could shop at Costco's while we were down in the southern part of Kauai earlier that first day.

We were very happy with the condo. Very nicely furnished. Very clean. Beautiful view from the lanai of the golf course and mountains. Kitchen had lots of utensils for cooking. TV room was great for the kids excellent sound system! Pool and hot tub were great along with BBQ by the pool(Had 2 gas grills). Master bath was great w/big bath tub and 2 sinks. would recommend HIGHLY!

The unit is lovely with a great view,nice furnishings, but is located on a corner on a busy street. Due to construction on the golf course and down the road, we had to listen and watch trucks go by at all hours- it rendered the lovely balcony space unuseable due to noise, and dirt.I had been to Princeville before and the street was not as busy then- the agent acknowledged there would be some noise- Unfortunately it was much worse than anticipated. Would book again with office, just never again on that street- We were happy to get home to our quiet suburban street.

I've used Remax about 4 times now for my rental needs in Kauai. All the properties (Regency Poipu, Villas of Kamalii and twice in Plantations) that we've stayed at have been great. Very clean and the amenities are superb. What I really like to make special mention of is the professional courtesy, the friendliness and just the overall fantastic service you get from the Remax staff. Just completes a wonderful vacation!

Excellent condo - a little noisy in the morning

The condo is very nice. The only downside is the early morning combination of traffic at the corner and the roosters crowing, both between 6am and 7am. The master bedroom is nearest the street corner and the loudest room in the unit.

The property is very nice from decore to finishes. The downside is the property is located next to a busy roadway which does not allow you to open up the windows and enjoy the tradewind breezes. The only thing we noticed that the property did not have was access to the garage which was advertised and the 2 of the 3 sliding glass doors do not lock. Other then that they property is a fabulous deal and we would lease it again.

We were very surprised to find that the condo was located right on the road, and it is the busiest road in Princville. The sounds of traffic, sirens and honking at chickens were constant and the condo has very poor insulation so it was not the peaceful getaway we were hoping for! We were looking forward to relaxing on the lanai, but it just wasn't enjoyable due to all the noise. The condo itself is very nicely furnished and would be a great place to stay if not for the location. Upon arrival it was clean for the most part, except for the master bath tub, coffee pot, sheets in the dryer and the bathtub off the spare bedroom had an extremely slow drain so the tub filled each time while taking a shower. I hate to give a negative review, but this is not a place I would stay in again or recommend to anyone else beacuse the noisy location completely takes away from any positives this condo has to offer.

Beautiful Mountain View

RE/MAX advertised wireless high speed internet, but there were no instructions and no open working wireless network found. A router was found at Plantations workout facility and internet was accessible via my network cable. Property is next to busy street. Good thing unit had A/C because it was too noisy to leave windows open at night. Given the quality of the interior and the beautiful mountains and waterfall view, this property was well worth the price.

Plantations 121- great condo, great view

A friend and I enjoyed six nights at this condo. We were very pleased with the quality of furnishings and beds. It is equipped with everything! It has a large flat screen TV in the TV room and master bedroom. (No TV in the second bedroom.)This condo has a beautiful view of a golf course, with mountains and waterfalls in the distance. The one disadvantage is that is fronts a fairly busy street, so traffic is ever-present. That made time on the lanai less tranquil. The pool, spa and well-equipped fitness center were never crowed. In fact there was rarely another person in the fitness center.We'd book it again. The Remax folks were great.

We had our tire stabbed in the driveway and woke up to a flat tire. Had to drive to other side of the island to have it replaced. It would have helped to be able to park in the gargage but this unit did not allow it. Also the street was redone when we were there, so had to park a block away for 2 days.

We really like the apartment, the view is beautiful, the decorations are great, the layout of the apartment is very convenient.There are few things that can be improved: the drainage of one of the bath tub is slow, the drainage of the toilets are weak. The one thing we did not like is the noise from the traffic around the apartment due to its location by the main streets. Overall we really had a great time at the pool, the apartment, the grounds and the view.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay. The property was exactly as advertised with a spacious layout and very well decorated. The view of the mountains and golf course was wonderful. The only drawback was the road noise, but that was a small price to pay!

RE/MAX Kauai vacation rental outstanding customer service!

The staff really cares about their guests. Plantation 121 was very clean and very comfortable! We appreciated the helpful tips and information in RE/MAX's Guest Book. We had trouble with the hot water not being hot enough and the owner herself came at 9:00 p.m. to check out the water heater and adjust the temperature.

We will use RE/MAX Kauai again. Aloha!
