Comfortable condo with screened-in lanai. TV has VCR and DVD player. Jacuzzi tub. 2 ac in the bedroom and one in the living room.WIFI. Children welcome.
Welcome to Kuilima Estates, the condo property located on the grounds of world-renowned Turtle Bay. The condos are surrounded by two beautifully manicured golf courses, and are the only condos on the North Shore. This is a great place to relax, rewind, and restore, and a world away form the hustle and bustle of the city. The condo property is short walk to the hotel and to a lovely, sheltered, coved beach, where you can swim, snorkel, and surf. We have our pools, with lounge chairs, an outdoor shower, and charcoal BBQ grills. Bring your own equipment and play tennis on our courts at no charge. Experience the comforts of home as you experience aloha!
A guest from Monroe, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2016 We found the unit to be comfortable, well stocked, and conveniently located. There are beach supplies in the closet for a fun day on the sand. The bed is very soft which isn't it our preference, but others may find comfortable.
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 11 days in January, 2016 This is a clean and comfortable little unit in a great location for beach activities and funky little local eateries. The units are fairly old but ground maintenance is good and the unit itself is fairly well maintained.... The bed & bedroom carpeting both need replacing but are usable. The jacuzzi tub does not work. Otherwise care has been taken to provide visitors with basic needs. It has ac but we rarely needed it. It's a ground floor unit with a handy screened lanai. For checking in, we arrived at night and the entrance code did not work. We called the security number there at the entrance and they opened the gate for us and everything else was fine. The pools are well kept and we could walk to the beach by the resort in just a few minutes. We enjoyed our stay.
A guest from Crystal, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2015 We enjoyed our stay in this condo. Perfect location on the North Shore. Close to great beaches, shopping, and eating. The condo was clean and updated.
Leonard M. from Aldergrove, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2015 This was a last moment booking and the whole experience was great. Check in was up and beyond excellent and the location was very nice. We could walk to the beach and enjoyed being close to the resort also.
William L. from Cardiff, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2014 The picture don't do this rental justice. It is much more comfortable than the pictures indicate. We had a nice time.
Sofa bed was VERY dirty but otherwise very happy w/ our stay.
A guest from Honolulu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2014 We were overall satisfied with the unit with one glaring exception: I specifically requested a sofa bed, but when we opened the sofa at bedtime, we found that nobody had cleaned under the sofa bed -- there was a children's book under the sofa, & in the bed were crumbs & dead roaches. We had to wash the sheets before being able to sleep on the sofa bed. The condition of the sofa bed was unacceptable, but was especially so because I had specifically requested a sofa bed -- someone should have made sure it was not only clean but was operable. Clearly, nobody checked the condition of the sofa bed. Also, there was a mattress delivery scheduled in the afternoon of our 3rd day of our 4-day stay, which was inconvenient with 2 young active boys staying in the room. Would recommend to a friend w/ caveats/conditions.
Stefanie P. from Johnston, RI recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2014 Overall pretty satisfied with this condo rental. A much cheaper way to stay on the North Shore. Very convieneint to have our own kitchen and washer/drier. Had a few suggestions: clean up the buggy, dirty screened in lanai. Get better curtains in the bedroom (they were see-through) and curtains for the living room window.
A guest from Clinton, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in January, 2014 This condo adjacent to Turtle Bay Resort is a short drive from North Shore attractions: gorgeous beaches, restaurants (don't pass up the shrimp trucks!), towns, and Polynesian Cultural Center. There's a public beach area at the Resort within walking distance (or a very short drive) from the condo. Minor quibbles about the condo: the louvered window in the bedroom didn't open, so we couldn't catch the natural cross ventilation at night. Otherwise, condo amenities and supplies were excellent. The golf course mowers start early on some mornings. (But you don't want to spend the day in bed, do you?) The check-in instructions were somewhat confusing about whether we needed to stop at the rental office first. The instructions came by e-mail only 3 days in advance, at which time we were already en route in Hawaii. Luckily, we had e-mail access. We were not used to how a security gate works and had difficulty getting through the first time. In the end, we called the rental office, and a helpful staff person explained what we needed to know.
Tammy L. from x, x recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in January, 2014 Consider putting an extra lock on the door for an adding sense of security. Couldnt tell if the door was locked when inside condo.
It was a wonderful and relaxing stay yet things to do
Glenn M. from Kahuku, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in November, 2013 It' very relaxing but still with accessibility to many other fun things like surfing, swimming, tennis, golf all in walking distance. I would do it again.
Michael E. from Chula Vista, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in August, 2013 The experience was great! Very clean accommodations, quiet and peaceful! Will definitely rent from you again!
A guest from Pearl City, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2013 We were so glad to get 168 West because of the Jacuzzi because none of the 5 pools had a Hot tub. Our only complaint was the Wifi password given to us did not work, but we had our iphones so it didnt really matter. We were surprised some reviewers said the noise from the road bothered them, we hardly noticed any noise from the road, even with the sliding doors open! This was far better than going to Waikiki, and the Kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dishes and glasses ...all you really need ... the only thing that really bothered us was the many Tiki heads used to decorate this unit. We think the Jacuzzi and the two Air Conditioners and screened lanai sets this unit apart from the others. We highly recommend this unit.
A guest from Honolulu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2013 We really enjoyed our stay! Overall the place is nice and clean, tile floors in all but bedroom(would change out the thick carpet to wood/tile floors, to keep all clean). We were nicely surprised by the flat screen TVs in both the living room(the control was difficult to work and hard to change channels) and the bedroom (TV worked great and also DVD too). Our biggest concern was the front door was difficult to close and keep closed and locked(seemed broken latch). We mentioned this to the rental company. So hopefully they will fix that problem. Parking in front of condo. A/C in both rooms a plus. Need thicker heavier curtain in bedroom to keep out morning sunlight and privacy. New looking stove but burners old, slanted and hard to cook on but we were able to cook. Well stocked with kitchen equipment, skillets could be updated. Ice maker but does not work. Also had extras for beach and activities in bedroom closet. Shower is strong and hot. Lanai has gas grill and plastic table and chairs. Got to pull screens overlapping to keep bugs mosquitos from coming in. Overall we enjoyed! Just a few fixes would really make it great!!
A guest from Saskatoon, SK recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2013 Only stayed 2 nights which was hardly enough time, but really enjoyed staying on the north shore. The Turtle Bay Resort was an excellent location and the office staff were terrific.
A guest from Honolulu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2013 PLACE WAS VERY NICE BUT SCREENS NEED TO BE FIXED SO ALITTLE BUUGY AY NIGHT IF DIDN'T CLOSED INNER DOORS HAVE STAYED AT ESTATES NUMBEROUS TIMES AND WILL STAY AGAIN AT 168 WEST LIKED THAT IT HAD TWO AIRCONDITIONERS
A guest from Snoqualmie, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2011 The decorations and amenities were excellent, the beach gear was greatly appreciated. The WiFi worked great and the kitchen was well equipped. The unit cooled naturally with the breeze and we did not need the air conditioner. The bed was small but comfortable, the sitting chair and couch were not. Our reading was done in other locations! The unit had above average road noise, lots of moisture ants, the front door lock did not function easily or securely, the family next door was quite loud (infant crying and family arguments) and the power outlet in the kitchen did not work correctly.
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2010 We stayed for several days in North shore. It's a very good location for someone who want to explored the north shore, pretty closed with Polynesian Cultural Center, also minutes away to drive to Haleiwa. The condo itself was awesome, I like the way the owner decorated it. Pretty clean and comfy. One thing I concern was just the bed wasn't to comfy to sleep on it. But overall, it's all great !! Definately will come back to stay there.
Cindy B. from Frisco, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in February, 2010 The shag carpet in the bedroom needs to be removed. Dirty shag carpet in a tropical atmosphere=gross!!! It was really dirty! Also, the comforter needs a washable duvet in the master bedroom. There was too much stuff in the master closet and not enough room for our suitcases and clothes. The grill outside is inoperable and needs to be removed, there's a chicken nest underneath it. Also, new clean (unstained) towels and washcloths are needed. I use nicer towels/clothes on my dogs and cars at home. The living room furniture and kitchen were both nice. Make these few changes and it'll be great!
A guest from Hubbard, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 12 days in January, 2010 Unit168 was nice and in general a comfortable place to stay. The view of golf course was enjoyable, but the road noise was bothersome. Was entertained by a hen on her nest under the outside BBQ!
A guest from Honolulu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2009 Great property to stay. Beautiful, clean, relaxing. Only three problems. 1. Wireless internet promised was locked with a password which wasn't given to me. 2. The door and lock were difficult. 3. The sliding doors in the patio were off their raceways. But, I'd definitely want to come back to this one and would encourage others to do so also.
A guest from San Ramon, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2008 Our condo was beautifully decorated, well furnished, spotlessly clean. It was a great location for the relaxing days we planned at Waimea Bay. It just could not have been any better. Thanks for a great stay!
A guest from Camarillo, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2008 The condo had been beautifully remodeled with a lovely decor the kitchen was a nice size, the bathroom shower head tall enough and there was a gas grill. The air conditioner in the living room was not working but thankfully the bedroom one did. A larger TV and a new refridgerator with an ice maker would be the only changes I'd suggest.
A guest from Port Orchard, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2007 It would have been helpful knowing that one of the 'beds' in the bed count for the condo was an inflatable mattress. Luckily we had our teenage daughter this time who could manage. If it was grandma that would have been a big problem. Please be honest about the sleeping arrangements! Other than that it was great!
Reviewed by: Pat O. recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2007 Clean and bright. Nice decor, and the kitchen is great. The mountain/golf course view is lovely after a day of sand and sea. We have used Estates at Turtle Bay for many years and have never been disappointed.
