Jeffrey L. from Burbank, California recommends this property. Stayed for 20 days in April, 2016 The ocean view and sound of the waves made this unit extra special for us. Everything provided made us feel at home and comfortable. We also enjoyed the beach chairs and used them often. We did not find the patio furniture comfortable and didn't use it. But the rest of the furnishings, including beds, were great.
A guest from Kingwood, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in February, 2016 I enjoyed once again staying in Unit 246 at Pali Ke Kua. I would suggest that the owners be notified that new pillows are needed in the downstairs bedroom. It would also be helpful for those who stay more than one week to have an extra set of sheets to put on the bed while the dirty ones are being cleaned. My sister stayed with me for the first week and was very impressed with the unit.
A guest from sammamish, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in February, 2016 We loved our stay here. The unit is one of the best on the property with a great view and short walk to pool and restaurant. The unit is in great shape and perfect for a family of 4.
A guest from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2016 We stayed in #246 for our honeymoon and are so grateful! The spot was beautiful, we enjoyed making breakfasts and dinners together and enjoying them on the deck while watching the ocean. My husband even saw a whale from the kitchen table! It's a great spot - it feels private and spacious, but it's so close to the store and near Kapaa and other enjoyable places on the island.
Mark R. from South Jordan, UT recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2016 Our week in Princeville at Pali Ke Kua was excellent. The condo was clean and the view of the ocean spectacular. No complaints whatsoever.
Rindi H. from Chapel Hill, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in January, 2016 We loved staying in unit 246. Everything was just as described or even better. Spotless, clean and well equipped. The beds were so comfortable and plenty of linens were available. We had an issue with the master shower and ReMax was very responsive and had it repaired right away. I would be delighted to stay here again. We even watched whales from the balcony!!
Property Manager Response: Response from RE/MAX Kauai Mahalo for writing such a nice review regarding your recent stay at Pali Ke Kua #246. The team works very hard to exceed each guest?s expectations and it is a true pleasure to hear how much you enjoyed yourself!
A guest from Fairfield, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2015 Very clean, well stocked condo which is a corner unit on the upper floor of Building 11. Great ocean views. Second bedroom is a loft (open to below). During the winter, no clear sunset views but a fantastic location. Well maintained, nice kitchen. Sound carries so if neighbors are noisy you will hear them but it was nice and quiet during the week we spent here. Easy transaction and instructions. Looking forward to coming back. Great rental in the Princeville development. Thanks so much!
Dale F. from Laceyville, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 17 days in January, 2015 This was our 10th visit to Kauai and the 8th time we have stayed at Pali Ke Kua. Our other stays were in a different unit that we loved but unfortunately was sold shortly after our last stay. Needless to say we were already in love with the area and the complex itself, we just needed to find a new favorite condo to call home. Unit 246 was exactly what we were looking for. The unit was well maintained, nicely decorated, clean and equipped with everything we would possibly need. We loved the location of the unit for it's view as well as for it's solitude. The view is so nice (The pictures don't do it justice) we hated to eat out and ended up eating more meals at the condo than we have on previous visits. The new on-site restaurant Hideaways Pizza Pub is a great addition and a short walk away. Great to eat there or grab a pizza and take back to eat on the lanai while watching whales. Re/max was also great to deal with. Everything about the unit and our 17 day stay was perfect and we hope to make it our new Kauai home away from home!
Mel D. from Oxnard, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2014 After 20 years of marriage my wife and I decided to "bite the bullet" and spring for a vacation. This was our first trip to Hawaii together and I personally have never been. Both of our expectations were vastly exceeded. Our condo perfectly facilitated the right balance between fun and rest. Close to surfing for me, shopping for my wife and exploring for both of us, yet far enough removed to feel we were away from it all.
A guest from San Carlos, California recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in August, 2014 Great 2 bed/2 bath condo with beautiful views and very comfortable beds. Kitchen had everything you could ask for. Condo was spotless and we were very happy here. The only con is that the condo is west-facing so it got VERY hot in the afternoon, even with the fans.
A guest from Sherman Oaks, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2014 Pros:Great view of the ocean especially in the morning. After the sun had set the lanai was a perfect place to relax and enjoy dinner. We liked the beautiful private beach that had good snorkeling with plenty of exotic fish. The complex was quiet and very tranquil even with all of the families with children. Sunsets were picturesque especially when viewed by the cliffs looking toward Hanalei Bay. The nicely remodeled kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, glasses and dishes and had enough room for two cooks.Cons:Unfortunately between 3 and 7:30 pm the direct sun was a problem that could be easily solved with shades across the lanai. We had three ceiling fans and three portable fans and that was not enough! We ended up moving out of the condo three days early and losing the money but having air conditioning was worth it.Although we read several negative reviews regarding the living room furniture we did not expect it to be as uncomfortable as it had been described. It was attractive but unfortunately sitting on the sofa and love-seat was like sitting on cement. New softer foam is needed!!!It's such a great place with nice bathrooms, comfortable beds and great views. We would be willing to pay higher nightly rates if the cons are fixed.
Maureen W. from Summit, NJ recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in May, 2014 This is my fourth visit to Kauai.. I love staying in Princeville because of its proximity to everything.. This condo was fabulous for its views, it was very clean and well maintained.. We actually had a problem with the faucet, which was a big deal for us, because we made a lot of our meals at home. I called remax and spoke with Angela regarding this issue and it was fixed within a day. They were accomodating ,efficient and pleasant. Honestly, the only drawback is the furniture.. It is uncomfortable. Otherwise, this was a fabulous place to stay.. a nice size end unit...Really such a great experience.. Can't wait to go back!!
Ann A. from Zionsville, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2013 This was our first visit to Kauai and very much loved this location. We picked unit 246 because it was at the end and had neighbors on one side only. Also was closest to the cliffs. The unit was clean and very comfortable. I would definitely return to this location and unit.
Tim M. from Sechelt, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in October, 2013 We loved our first visit to Kaui, and this condo is a great home base in Princeville. We would definitely stay there again. Very clean, modern and comfortable. It is also supplied with beach chairs, towels and mats, coolers & cooler packs, boogie boards, and snorkel gear. The bed was very comfortable. It has a great shower with a good supply of thick towels. There is a TV and stereo. Though we didn't use them much, the owners have left a supply of VHS and DVD movies, as well as CD's, many with a tropical island theme. The lanai is large and has cushions for the furniture and we started out days with breakfast on the lanai. There is a small electric grill on the lanai as well, though we didn't use it.This is a corner unit, facing west, right next to a gully full of tropical plants overlooking the ocean, and feels very secluded on this large grassy condo resort. The condo pool is a short walk and is very nice. No restaurant at the resort at this time, but appears to be undergoing renos. On the (slight) downside, there is no direct view of Bali Hai, as the other condos on the property are in the way, but good sunrise or sunset views are only a couple minutes walk. The furniture looks nice, but isn't actually very comfortable, but that is the only downside in this unit.
Tom and Betsie B. from Thousand Oaks, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2013 This was a dream vacation the moment we arrived! Our condo was spacious, the grounds gorgeous and the view amazing! We fell in love with the North Shore and will come back again and again!
Larysa M. from Thousand Oaks, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 13 days in June, 2013 The sunset from the balcony every night . The perfect private secret beach for snorkeling is lined with lush tropical greenery.Perfect little shopping plaza with elegant shops, practical supermarket. Easy , short ride to Hanalei Bay with all of its choices. Bargain price for his perfection. This was our second 2week stay. We will be back!!!
Peggy K. from Salem, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2013 Our condo was nicely decorated, very clean, had everything you could need in the kitchen, comfy beds, a lovely view, and lots of sunshine!
A guest from San Jose, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in May, 2013 As always, a comfy place to stay on the North Shore. Loved the outdoor electric grill! Only other comment - it would be nice to have a nonstick fry pan to cook eggs in for breakfast. Eggs stuck to the stainless steel pan no matter how much butter/margarine you used.
A guest from White Bear Lake, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2013 Our stay was generally very nice. Two big irritations was there were no plastic glasses and mostly the toilet paper which ran out. How can anyone go into a store and buy only 1 roll of toilet paper. This alone would make me reconsider staying there again. Very cheesy for the money we paid.
A guest from Moss Beach, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 11 days in December, 2012 Lovely condo, nicely appointed with a beautiful view, great furniture and updated appliances. There was one cleanliness issue -- lots of dead bug stains on the upstairs bedspread -- but otherwise immaculate. Three hints to the owners: 1. lighter lampshades (you have to tilt these to read); 2. Just one nonstick pan (we spent too much time soaking, scraping and scrubbing); 3. Add a reclining lounge chair for the deck (some of us like to take a nap in the shade). Thank you!
A guest from Hutto, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2012 Amazing location, beautiful home. I was a little nervous about the loft situation but it was effectively a second bedroom. The TV upstairs died mid-stay but I assume it will be replaced (plus there were two others). Very convenient to the St. Regis, where we attended a wedding. I
Russell H. from South Yarra, VIC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2012 Great location on the cliff top. Well maintained, very neat, clean. Easy to move in and out of for a short stay. Hanalei area is stunning. Watch out for the Pali Ke Kua private beach. A bit hard to find, steep path but stunning views, nice rock pools, barbecue facilities.
A guest from Smiths Falls, Ontario recommends this property. Stayed for 15 days in April, 2012 We found the property to be exceptionally clean and the view from the balcony was amazing. The management company were exemplary, even emailing us about a delay because of road maintenance. Our only complaint was that during our 2 week stay there were four couples staying in the condo below for about 11 days and after dark some of them would get out on chairs and smoke! We had to get off our Lanai and close all the front windows! I guess if you are a smoker you wouldn't mind but that left an unpleasant impression on us.We would pass this information on to our friends.
Thomas B. from Dragoer, Denmark recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in February, 2012 Overall, we were very pleased with our stay in #246. The only problem - which didn't have anything to do with the property - was that we unfortunately had lousy weather (rain, rain, rain) most of the time. But apart from that, the condo met our expectations.
PHILLIP P. from Chico, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2011 It was in a perfect location....sunrise and sunset!! The condo was well maintained!! Views of the ocean spectacular!! We will come back and stay at Pali Ke Kua. If, you had a hammock on the patio it would have been beautifully spectacular to swing out there while the waves crashed on the shoreline!! Next trip....one request "HAMMOCK"
Ann L. from Chatanooga, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in March, 2008 We have stayed at Pal Ke Kua twice and I would stay there again. The location is fabulous if you like/love the North Shore. On both visits our condo had breath taking views of the ocean and cliffs. During our March/April stay we were able to whale watch from the balcony and living room. My only reservation about # 246 was that the living room furnisher was very uncomfortable - new pieces would greatly enhance this unit. On the other hand, the beds were geat and we really appreciated the DVDs, games and books provided by the owners.
An excellent condo with great whale watching every morning!
A guest from Rifle, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2008 Loved every minute there! This was the best of three condos that we stayed at during our trip and would not expect to find any better at this price. You can expect all the comforts of home plus some. We were amazed with the number of whales that we saw every morning. We will be back next year!
Gail Z. from Northbrook, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 12 days in September, 2007 We have been to Hawaii 15 times. Most of the vacations we stayed on the island of Kauai because it has always been our favorite. This was the first time we stayed in a condo and it was the BEST experience. This condo had everything we needed or wanted. The only one small down side was lack of AC. We had a few nights with very hot and humid evenings without any breeze and it was difficult to sleep.
Jean P. from Tempe, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in May, 2007 The condo was more than we expected, clean, spacious and all the amendities that you would need. I will definitly use this service and condo again.
