Recently renovated, this ground floor, three-bed and two-bath suite, sits in the heart of Mission Beach. There is a nice den area, which can easily convert into a third bedroom. The private Patio sits right on the boardwalk; the sand is 15 feet away, the waves 50 yards further on. There is a barbeque, washer dryer, dishwasher, TV?s, and stereo.

There was only one complaint, but I think you will have the same problem no matter where you stay in the Pacific beach area. The parking spots are way to small. You really have to shoe horn your car into it's spot, but it will fit. Other than that the place is perfect.

We loved the location...far enough from the roller coaster and the pier so that we didn't get their crowds. The wall of doors/windows in the living and dining rooms were fantastic! We had a constant beautiful view of the sand, waves, joggers, surfers, sunsets! We had a couple of problems that needed to be addressed and SDVR was very prompt (same day) in getting maintenance to do the necessary work. The front bedroom off the living room does not offer much privacy but it was workable...but the window frame lets the cold air in so the room gets pretty chilly. Loved having a washing machine and dryer. The outdoor parking place is narrow and difficult to enter/exit because of the fence and dumpster behind the unit but we learned to enter through the driveway behind the space and exit going the wrong way on Strand Way when we drove out. Every time we used the oven (daily!) it set off at least one of the smoke detectors; nothing was burning so maybe it was the product used to clean the oven (although we did not smell anything strange). Good price, good location, good vacation!

We rented both 3585 and 3587 (above) giving us 3 floors, 2 kitchens, 8 bedrooms, 1 patio and 4 decks! What a wonderful place -- from decor to views, we couldn't ask for more! One of the microwaves wasn't working, and they brought a new one out right away. I highly recommend either rental to anyone!

We had a nice time at the beach, and the property was in a great location. The house was generally nice, but there was a terrible fly problem. Every day literally hundreds of flies swarmed in the kitchen. There was a fly trap outside, but it was full -- it would have been nice if there had been a fresh, empty trap for our stay. However, the property management team were very friendly and helpful, except for the fly problem.

This was a really nice place when it was first re-done. Nice patio area, big doors that open to the beach, good bed in master bedroom, plenty of places to put a plate and glass down, outdoor shower with HOT water (really nice) and the blinds worked which almost never happens in these rental units. But age is showing and now it needs a good going over and a lot of little things fixed. The TV worked, but it was a rig that required going to a bedroom to change channels. The microwave pooped out. The disposal cover was gone so it sprayed water everywhere when it was run. The toaster took about 20 minutes to toast. The door to the front bedroom really needs an up-grade. Most of all the area rugs need to be changed out, really filthy. The property manager was VERY patient with our calls to have things taken care of so a big A+ there.

We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary by taking our son & daughter-in-law and their 2 children 7 & 9 and our daughter and 19 yr old daughter. It was wonderful. The grandkids could go the ocean so easily and we all loved every minute we were there. Had coffee in the a.m. sitting on the patio and some drinks in the evening enjoying the beautiful settings. Was an awsume time.

The place was beautiful and in an excellent location! However, it was dissapointing that the pullout sofa bed did not work. Also, I called the office a few times and I was not particularly happy with the way the emplyees treated me. They made me feel as if I was unimportant. Overall the stay was great but I probably would not go through this agency again.

The unit was just perfect for our family. Just eed a few things done before we checked in on 3/4/12 ie hangars, hot water heater adjustment, gas adjustment on fireplace, a broom, dustpan, toilet bowel brush, many lightbulbs missing. Bedroom off of living room is all bed..sort of a strange room lacking privacy due to sheer curtains on bifold french doors. SDVR was responsive in handling our calls.

San Diego is beautiful but 3585 Oceanfront is not. The place was very dirty. I stayed there for one week. Blinds were broken, Furniture was very old and needs to be replaced, Grill lid was broken, light bulbs in three different rooms needed to be replaced. Vacuum cleaner was filthy. The bag needed to be replaced but was not by the supposed cleaning crew. The owner of the unit needs to spend some money on it for the money he charges per night.
