The staff at the rental agency was friendly, the location was amazing, and the kitchen was stocked with every tool we could possibly need. The only criticism I have is that the place needs a little fixing up. It's outdated, with pictures that are damaged on the walls. The maintenance crew left behind junk, tools and extra wood beams from what seems like a new (and very beautiful) deck. It was the first thing we saw when we drove up. Put those things in a shed, and it will make the place look much better. Also, the boardgames need a little care/updating. The Christmas puzzle we put together was missing 10 pieces and the murder mystery puzzle is missing the booklet. Go to Target and get some new things!! My group ended up leaving 4 water guns and a little robot figurine in the game cabinet because we loved our stay so much and wanted to share a little love with the next occupants. We will be back! Stayed for 3 days in December, 2012 I wouldn't go there till they remove the carpets and fix the walkway in the entrance (algae forming and very slippery)We took our 1yr old dog for the first time on a cottage trip and came back home with ticks!! Its sad that some dog owners are so careless with their pets.there were many stains in the living room and this was driving our dog crazy...he is potty trained but at one point he was about to pee in the living room thinking it was ok to.We got this place at the last minute and got bitten, AVOID! |

Stayed for 2 days in August, 2012 The home was listed as pet friendly but when we settled in we quickly found pet hair all over our blankets, etc. Even the dish towel had pet hair all over it. When you pay a hefty cleaning fee you wouldn't expect to find that much hair everywhere. When we went to cook there was really no decent cookware for the stove top. The teflon pans were beyond terrible and the others were so cheap the bottoms were warped. We actally went to the local store and bought a pan to cook on for the weekend. We were also told that we would be charged a fee if the hot tub was used improperly (and became "cloudy") but when we first got in it was super cloudy, like it wasn't cleaned all that well before our arrival. The house was fine otherwise and the view would probably be great if it wasn't so foggy and the powerpole on the street wasn't right in front of the ocean view from the deck. |

The pros: great views of the ocean from the home, access to the beach via a private road (no climbing down cliffs!), well-stocked kitchen, extra linens and towels, spa was clean and neighborhood was quiet and private. The fireplace was great and really warmed the front of the house nicely.The cons: the house was tidy, but in need of a good cleaning (particularly the carpet which had many visible stains) and the cabinet fronts (which were sticky and had fingerprints). Bedding was a bit worn and wasn't as fresh as we usually encounter when renting homes. The living room furniture was newer, but was quite uncomfortable. This was disappointing with such a nice fireplace to enjoy.That said, the view was still really great and the location was ideal. We would rent Arena Vista again. |

Always a great view and this time I was pleasantly surprised at how well the kitchen was stocked and with the new fireplace and hot tub. A slightly bigger refrigerator would be welcome, especially for a long stay. My brother and his son and my friend joined me and we had plenty of space and privacy. The office was extremely helpful with some replacement batteries and an extra night's stay. I almost hate to post this because I do not want the calendar to fill up! |

Stayed for 3 days in June, 2011 I loved the location and the property was great for relaxing on the deck looking at the ocean. I would suggest that you stay longer than three days, as we did. The cleaning fees would be worth it for a stay longer than three days. The non-refundable deposit and the extra cleaning fees for the hot tub were a little high for me, considering that we did not damage anything and the hot tub appeared not to have been cleaned before we arrived. There was a problem with the jets on the hot tub and there were ants in the kitchen, but the manager had the jets fixed the same day we called. It was a good vacation house and a beautiful area with a great beach, we would have to stay longer next time. |

Don't like to pay for spa when we did not use it; there should be a way to secure the spa (lock it up) and issue key as requested and do not charge when not used.Don't charge in advance for damage not incurred. OK with cleaning deposit-necessary evil minus above erroneous charges would have been around $120. |

We have stayed at Irish Beach before, in Shalimere, which was lovely. This property was disgusting. It reeked of urine as soon as the front door was opened. The amount of stains all over the carpet and furniture were awful. We did not want to walk around the house w/o our shoes on. The master bath smelled so putrid of urine, I closed the door for our entire stay and used the other bath. The cabinet in the master bath is practically rotting away. While I realize this property is a dog friendly rental, there is no excuse for the condition of this house. At a total cost of just over $1000 for 3 nights, I could have stayed at a Motel 6 and felt more comfortable about the cleanliness and condition as compared to this house. This was not a house keeping issue. This house is filthy and impossibly reeks. I had to wash absolutely everything we took to this house as the smell of urine permeated everything. The owner of this house and this agency should be ashamed of yourselves for renting this house out. Based on this experience alone, we would not be back to Irish Beach. Most unfortunate. |

It was especially nice getting 4 nights for the price of two this last time (March 20-23). Initially, we had a problem heating up the hot tub, but when we reported it to the rental agency, they sent someone over quickly to fix it. We look forward to our next visit. We love sitting on the deck, but quite often the wind is too strong to really enjoy it, even when it's sunny. We would love to see some kind of windbreak constructed on the deck that wouldn't impact the view. |

However,it was relatively old with low quality construction and tiny shower with mediocre water pressure. The towels were basic quality and scratchy. For those reasons, I thought it was overpriced compared to other homes where we stayed in Irish Beach at the same or close rate.
