Upscale Kauai Comfort
A guest from Menlo Park, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in August, 2016 This unit was the perfect "home away from home" for our family of 4 which included 2 kids under the age of 6. Very comfortable set up from the cozy couch to the soft beds to the very well equipped kitchen. The resort is nicely maintained with friendly staff. The pool area had something for everyone. We also appreciated the management's prompt communication and flexibility with our slight adjustments to check in/out. 5 stars!
Condo in good, central location although no views.
A guest from Laguna Niguel, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2016 We found the unit to be centrally located to grocery stores and many eateries and well stocked with new kitchenware and even useful beach equipment such as umbrellas, chairs, mats, towels, and snorkel gear. If I knew that in advance, we wouldn't have packed in all our own snorkel gears as it 's heavy and bulky to bring your own fins and masks....
bridgette l. from Morenci, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in May, 2016 We loved our stay here. The rooms are better than the pictures. The location was awesome. Right between the North and South shore which gave us an option to drive about an hour to either, especially nice on rainy days of the North shore. Safeway right across the street, don't go to food land if looking for good prices. It was nice to have the pool for the kids when we were tired of the waves. Seconds to the beach/ocean but no lifeguard so we never went in. Wish I would of got a unit facing the ocean but didn't reserve in time. I would stay here again. So glad these have central ac. There is a restaurant/bar on site.
Robert W. from Cochrane, AB recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2016 We started our stay out in this particular unit. We had a maintenance issue that resulted in us eventually agreeing to move. The folks at Remax Kauai were very fair with respect to compensating us for the inconvenience and tried to minimize the impact. We really enjoyed the time we spent in this particular unit. The unit was very well maintained and exceptionally clean. The owners provided small amenities that although, they seemed small really made a big difference to us. Beach chairs, cooler bags, beach toys for the kids, beach towels - these things made us feel at home. After moving units, we really appreciated the placement of three ceiling fans in the units - in each bedroom and the living room - this really helped with air circulation and made sleeping most comfortable along with the air conditioning unit. Travelling with kids we really appreciated the proximity to the pool and to the parking area upon returning from a long day at the beach! Thanks for helping make it a great vacation for us - we would stay here again!
Amy C. from Bartlett, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2016 We were so impressed with the condo we rented. It was so comfy and relaxing. We loved that we could wake up and make breakfast. My kids loved it. And the pool and beachfront was beautiful. We will be back.
A guest from Jackson, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in November, 2015 Condo was wonderful, great facility, bathrooms, pool, kitchen, and the remax staff was easy to work with when our schedule needed a slight change. However, the "air conditioning" was a joke. Essentially nonfunctional during the stay other than to move air, there were multiple times when it was actually colder outside. This was following the energy-eye guidelines as well, which turns off the A/C system and changes the set temperature back to 74 frequently. Which is fine, or it would have been, if the condo temp had actually ever reached 74. Despite the system's indications that everything was working properly, we were sweating throughout the entire stay.
Property Manager Response: Response from RE/MAX Kauai Mahalo for writing such a nice review regarding your recent stay at Waipouli Beach Resort C-105. The team works very hard to exceed each guest?s expectations and it is a true pleasure to hear how much you enjoyed yourself!
I would like to personally apologize for the unfortunate experience with the A/C during your stay with us. Rest assured it will be addressed immediately.
A guest from Bozeman, MT recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in October, 2015 This was our second stay at this condo. Very clean and comfortable with al amenities. We will be back again!

Haydee H. from West Palm Beach, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2015 My choice in location was superb, this was my second visit to the island and wanted to be more central to the popular spots to visit. The apartment was awesome, enjoyed the kitchen with all the ammenities in excellent condition. The beds were phenomenal, excellent sleep and very comfortable. The beach gear was very handy, we borrowed the cooler for the hike to queens bath, boogie boards of all sizes to enjoy the beach. The bathrooms and showers were as expected with the same comforts as in my own home. A hurricane was lurking close by and called the property management, they were very accomodating should my next island plans fall through they were ready to offer a back up plan. I would recommend the apt, the proximity of the grocery stores were ideal and allowed for full daytime enjoyment to meet any last minute needs.
A guest from Dover, DE recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in July, 2015 This condo exceeded our expectations. The beds and linens were very comfortable, as were the couch and chairs in the living room. The bedroom doors were heavy enough so that if someone wanted to sleep while others were in the living area, they could rest quietly. Remax responded quickly to any questions or issues we had. This condo is well equipped with games, videos, cooking items, boogie boards, etc. We could not ask for a better location. We would love to stay here again!!
Jayson D. from Chanhassen, Minnesota recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in February, 2015 Having traveled to Kauai before we realized the importance of being centerly located on the island. This location rocks. The two best grocery stores are right across the street. Downtown Kapaa is about a 10 minute walk. The first floor unit is much desired. The view is not much but who cares? Remember your renting the island, go find your views. Very quiet and nicely stocked. Easy parking. It looked much nicer than the photos indicated. Great washer and dryer. All six of us loved it!!!
Tracy L. from Calgary, AB recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in February, 2015 We stayed in C-105 and it was everything we hoped it would be and more ! The condo looks exactly as seen in the pictures. The unit had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We enjoyed that there were lawn chairs, cooler, snorkel gear to use. The location was great. We only used the pool once, and it was nice. I was worried as I read many reviews that the pool was cold, but I found it quite comfortable. The unit faces the parking lot, but there are large hedges between the building and the parking lot so you don't really notice the parked cars. The lady at the excursions counter was also very helpful. The only glitch we had was that we arrived back to our room one day to find that our code to get in to the room no longer worked. Security looked us up and our room was listed as VACANT. With a call to the after hours emergency number, Cyrila had us back in our room with a new code quite quickly. We would definitely stay at this resort, and in this unit again !
Vyvy V. from San Diego, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2014 we love the place. everything is new. the resort is very nice. our kids love the swimming pool and the slides. The beach is not swimmable (strong waves!!!) We have to go other beaches to swim, but not at our resort. The only complaint I have for this unit is the bed in the guest bedroom. The bed makes squeaky noise when we move, twist and turn. It makes noise when we try to get off the bed. Didn't like it at all. Other that that, it's a great to place to stay.
A guest from Dana Point, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2014 We had a great time and the property exceeded our expectations. We would definitely stay again and we would certainly recommend it to friends. Property management company was excellent (Remax Kauai)!
A guest from Valley Village, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in June, 2014 Really nice condo, wonderful cooking appliances and pots and pans and knives. Clean, lovely decor. They have a closet full of boogie boards, beach chairs & sand toys. Even though there is no view and on ground floor it's still private, you look out on pretty plants. Very quiet, you can't hear anyone upstairs. The Remax agents are very nice and responsive. The pool is great, kids love the water slides and they have a really nice spa for adults. Highly recommend.
A guest from Quesnel, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 11 days in April, 2014 Very spacious condo with everything you need. We had a great time there. Good location and easy to drive everywhere on the island. Being one of the condo's in the back it was quiet and very private.
Michael F. from Port Alberni, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in March, 2014 Stayed here for 2 weeks in march with my wife and 2 young children. Property is very nicely located with a beach on the property and a 24 hour grocery store across the street for those late night plane arrivals. The condo was nicely stocked with beach toys, chairs, cooler, snorkel gear, towels, etc.. The room was very quiet and we only heard adjacent guests once during the entire stay. The only downside was the bed as it was a bit too hard for our liking. The on site pool kept the kids happy after coming back from exploring the island. Salt water chlorination, water slides, hot tubs, heated!! Can't wait till we can return here.
Linda E. from Westlake Village, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2013 The unit beautiful and well appointed but the view was lacking, a mostly parking lot view. We chose this unit because it had two master bed rooms, each with a King sized bed. Nice pool with a lazy river.
Monica T. from Arvada, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2013 We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The dishwasher was not working properly but it did appear there was an attempt to fix it. The repairman left a note indicating it was working. We tried using it to no avail. Called the rental office during hours, got no answer. Called the after hours number, again no answer. Regardless of their lack of attentiveness, we had a wonderful stay. Location was great, Starbucks and Safeway across the street!
A guest from Bozeman, Montana recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in April, 2013 We will be back! This was a beautiful clean condo in a great location. It had everything we needed. The resort was beautiful as well.
A guest from Calgary, AB recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in March, 2013 Enjoyed staying at the Waipouli Resort. Great to be on the beach and enjoyed the pool facilities. The condo had everything we could think of from toys for building sandcastles to dish soap and laundry detergent. Although we found the king sized beds very comfortable, getting into and out of the bed was difficult as it was noisy and woke the baby who was sharing a room with us. Most people staying here would probably not even notice the noisy beds if they did not have a baby with them. The other thing I didn't enjoy only was the poor water pressure when taking showers. Liked being walking distance to Foodland and Safeway. Felt close enough to the beach and pool too! Had an awesome time and would probably stay here again.
Jim T. from Farmington, UT recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in February, 2013 We had a wonderful experience in Kauai at the Waipouli beach Resort. The unit was spotlessly clean, in excellent condition, and very comfortable. We especially appreciated the extras in the kitchen such as a few spices, baggies, nice knives and cookware. The hot tubs with the sandy bottom were delightful!
Craig D. from Lethbridge, Alberta recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in December, 2012 Although it was a larger resort, there were no concerns in relation to noise. The pool was fabulous and all staff were very friendly. I would definitely return to this resort.
As a returning guest, I highly recommend this complex
A guest from Poulsbo, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in October, 2012 We returned to this complex because of our wonderful experience during our first stay. We were not disappointed, and will likely return again in the future. The grounds are beautiful, condo clean and spacious, pool area is perfect, the updated gym is great and we love the location on the island.
A guest from Pasadena, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 This is my 6th stay at Waipouli. We've stayed in this condo before. Great property and condos are luxury. Only negatives is that some of the things in the condo need to be replaced. Beach umbrella and cooler were broken, remember this from the year before. Towels are worn and had a musty smell even after washing, they need replacement. Dimmer switch in the kitchen not working and when you turn on the lights they are on the brightest setting almost too bright. Sheets were stained. Flashlight was not there upon check in, I notified Shelia, the housekeeper, so we would not be charged. Walls need to be freshened with some paint, some scuffs and marks non them. Overall, love to stay at Waipouli but next time will pick another condo that is in tip top shape.
A guest from Coquitlam, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 44 days in March, 2012 Everything about this place exceeded our expectations, EXCEPT for the pool staff people that were in charge of giving out towels. They were very unfriendly and appeared very unhappy about being there, and we were there for 6 weeks, so it wasn't just a "bad day". We would walk up and say" good morning, how are you today" - the response was a mumbly "room number?" If it was my company, I would replace them all with people who wanted to work.
Karin G. from Newcastle, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in February, 2012 Other than the fact it rained the entire 10 days we were there, the vacation in general was great. It allowed us to stay in the room and do nothing if we wanted. You have a great selection of dvd's. Although we knew about the view of the parking lot it was a little disappointing. The room itself was very nice. Thanks
Elizabeth H. from Edmonton, Alberta recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in January, 2012 This condo was perfect for us! Everything we needed was right at our finger tips. The kitchen was well equipped so we were able to enjoy some meals right in the condo. Thank you so much! We would definitely return here in the future.
Bruce M. from Las Vegas, Nevada recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2011 The condo is a very special place. Location is very convient to eating places and grocery stores...a very nice complex and grounds. The condo is very comfortable and has lots of extras....will go back there if we return to Kauai. Thankyou for a most wounderful time.
A guest from San Diego, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2011 We really enjoyed the luxury items in this condo. The Temperpedic beds were our favorite! It was conveniently located in Kapaa near many stores and eateries. The pool was perfect and the beach was relaxing. The only down side was the view. It would have been nice to have an ocean view since so many other condos in the complex had one.
A guest from Honolulu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2011 The property's amenities where great! The view from C105 was of the parking lot but we knew that before renting the condo. The view didn?t really matter the ocean is a 30 second walk from the unit. Of course an ocean view would have been nicer but then you may never leave the condo and miss everything else on the Island. The only thing that I didn?t like was the whole towel washing the night before you leave. I wasn?t too sure how you count five loads? So the last night and a few hours before we left we spent most of our time worried about not leaving towels to really enjoy. I was scared to take a shower the day of check out. I didn?t want to get charged another night for leaving a dirty towel. I dripped dried in the shower. I mean you pay close to $200 for a cleaning fee so I would think a couple towels should be ok. Other than that it was a great stay. I would get this unit again and just ask what exactly do you mean by five loads or wash the towels night before check out.
Roberta J. from Earleville, MD recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in August, 2011 We can't say enough good things about this unit and this complex. The location was very convenient -- just 15 minutes from the airport and directly across the street from a shopping center with a Safeway, Longs Drugs and Starbucks. The complex was gorgeous -- beautifully built and landscaped and extremely well-maintained. The pool was amazing (although we were disappointed that tubes were not allowed for the lazy river). Really appreciated the professional-grade gas grills located around the property, which we used a lot. Beach was beautiful, although not a good swimming beach (not a problem; there are plenty around the island). The unit itself was terrific. Spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, well-equipped and extremely comfortable. Gorgeous kitchen with granite counters, top-of-the-line appliances and just about any cookware and dishware item you need. We prepared most of our meals here during our two-week stay. Beds were very comfortable -- both king-sized -- and the bathrooms were large and beautiful, with plenty of towels provided. We also enjoyed the many extras such as the waffle iron and rice cooker, the dvd players and an impressive collection of dvds, the guidebooks and cookbook, the wheeling cooler and boogie board, plus there were a couple of inflatable life jackets for kids, a beach umbrella and an umbrella stroller in the one closet. Loved having a full-sized washer and dryer in the unit, too. The view wasn't the best (parking lot) but the first floor location was very convenient. (Relatives were staying in a third-floor unit which was not close to an elevator; a real hassle. This other unit also didn't have nearly as many "extras" as C-105.) Would highly recommend this unit and this complex to anyone. They really made our vacation special!
A guest from San Diego, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2011 We were not looking for a room with a view, but one of convenience as we had our 7 1/2 month grandbaby with us. This room faces the parking lot. The condo is gorgeous & there was plenty of space for the five of us. The king size beds were comfy, too. We weren't too excited about having to wash our towels before we left, considering there is not room service the entire week & we never could find the Remax people onsite. People need to let the management know, though, if things are broken, such as the toaster. I left a note for housecleaning, so hopefully, it will be fixed. WIFI in this room goes in & out, mainly out. We found that the best reception was by the entry table across from the kitchen. The pool is beautiful & kid friendly as well. Our unit included a baby stroller, beach umbrella, & beach toys, which we used everyday. Tips: best romantic restaurant: The Beach House in Lawai (we celebrated our 40th anniversary here & have unbelievable sunset pictures to remember the event); Safari Helicopter Tour (they have the biggest windows) worth every penny-book online for big savigs; No, No No-the Na Pali coast snorkel & sightseeing tour, unless you have an iron stomach & like to snorkel at a nearly dead reef, caused by 40-60 ft winter waves; Alamo rental car-go online through Hawaiian Car Rentals for the best deal-we even rented a baby carseat for $7 a day; sightseeing around this beautiful island is a must! Safeway & an organic health food store are literally right across the street; best snorkeling-Tunnels on the north side; great golf-right in Kapaa. We'd stay here again!
Chris H. from Gresham, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in May, 2011 We traveled to the Island with another couple and the layout of the condo was perfect. Two master suites on either side of a very nice common area. The pool area was also VERY nice, the only thing that I would like to have seen as later hours for the Hot Tub. When you are out exploring the island you don't always get back by 9:00.
A guest from Pasadena, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2011 This is our third time staying at Waipouli and we always love our stay. This unit C-105 was the least of my favorites. We had issues with the AC, the back sliding door did not open and one of the appliances in the kitchen did not work properly. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay very much. These are excellent condos, comfortable, top of the line, kids love the pool and the beach is great. We love the town of Kapaa.
Kaaren D. from Oro Valley, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2011 i think the disposal was not workingthe two frying pans have handles that conduct heat and we had some burned fingers
Catherine S. from san francisco, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2011 We recently stayed at Waipouli Beach Resort, unit C-105. There is absolutely no view from this unit, unless you really like looking at a large electrical box. The unit was advertised as having wi-fi. It has no wi-fi to speak of. None of our devices that use wifi were available for use the entire stay. This is not the first time. I stayed at Waipouli last year (2010) with the same problem. The entire complex needs to be looked at. While the unit was great in terms of cleanliness and amenities, the beds were terrible. Very uncomfortable. Lastly, handicap access at this resort is not good.
MICHAEL S. from JACKSON, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2011 The only problem we encountered was the use of your website. Our reservation was not confirmed, and we had to use your after hours person to get us into the condo. She was very helpful, and it worked out great. I think your website could be updated, and include contact numbers(particularly on any e-mails sent out to guests). Otherwise, we had a great time.
Lisa G. from Seal Beach, California recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in August, 2009 I was disappointed in the description of the property as "garden view" when it was really parking lot view. I really feel it was misrepresented. I was also surprised that I was expected to wash all the towels prior to departure, which I did. I think that I paid a cleaning fee and that should certainly have been included. The unit was beautiful and location great, but these were annoyances.
Melanie P. from Canmore, AB recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in July, 2009 I absolutely loved the accomodations for many reasons. The complex was very child friendly and close to so many amenities as well as the airport. Everyone was more than helpful.
Steven B. from Strathmore, AB recommends this property. Stayed for 15 days in June, 2009 The vacation rental was great for our family and the two week stay. The only concern was a dishwasher that never really worked without issue. We called for help twice and to see if we were not using it correctly. The maintenance was prompt and helpful but the problem never really got resolved. We spent the rest of the trip hand washing dishes. The garb-orator was a similar experience. No big deal. The surroundings were wonderful and we were rarely in the condo long enough to be bothered by the concerns.
Weston L. from Thousand Oaks, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in May, 2009 With the unit being tagged as "garden view", we expected a garden. A parking lot is NOT a garden, and when also getting to view a cheap hotel next door, the overall view out the windows was terrible. The unit and property was fantastic, but this unit is not recommended by us.
Stacey W. from Thousand Oaks, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in October, 2008 We had a wonderful 10 day stay in C-105 of the Waipouli Resort. The condo is beautiful, comfortable and a wonderful location to all the activities and beaches in Kauai. This is our second trip to Waipouli Resort and hopefully not our last! Thanks Remax for a fabulous home away from home! Two comments, considering we had just arrived after a many hours of travel, it took a long time for someone to come down and give us our keys. Also, many of the doors in the unit are not balanced and some wouldn't stay shut and some wouldnt stay open. The door in our kids room was so difficult and noisy to close that we had to leave it open at night or it would wake them up. Aside from that small issue, we are completely happy and miss our little slice of paradise!
Christina S. from Sonoma, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2008 I have to say I was a little hesitant before we arrived, you know the pictures usually look better than real thing. We were not at all disappointed when we got there. It was a great place to take the family and the luxurious accomodations and amenities made for a happy mom and dad. When we return we will be calling our friends at Re/Max again. The agents were very attentive and helpful during our stay. Check in was so easy we were able to get settled and start enjoying our vacation right away. So glad we found you.
