Another fun Stay-Cation!
Elizabeth H. from Honolulu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2016 It was a fun weekend in a clean, comfortable unit! This was our third time in this unit! Thank you!
Property Manager Response: Response from The Estates at Turtle Bay, Inc. Aloha. Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. I am very pleased to hear that you've enjoyed multiple stays with us. Do checkout our Facebook page and website for promos that you might be interested in. Looking forward to seeing you again soon.
A guest from Honolulu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2016 It has become an annual reunion at Turtle Bay for our family of many. The close proximity of the golf courses and the ocean adds that something extra that makes this an ideal venue for any family with ages ranging from 80's to 7 months.
Robert and Terri B. from San Dimas, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2016 Lovely Condo ,stocked with everything to make our stay comfortable. Its a gate guarded facility which makes you feel safe. The condo decorated comfortably and the grounds manicured so beautiful.
Fred S. from St. Helena, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 40 days in January, 2016 We come to this condo every year, and feel like it's our second home. We absolutely love the condo and the property. The condo is comfortable and well maintained, and it's location across from the first tee of the golf course and Lei-Lei's restaurant make it ideal.
Steven A. from Petaluma, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2015 We would not be able to recommend this rental to anyone. When we arrived the unit looked (and felt) like it had not been cleaned in some time. There was hair in one of the beds, my daughter found hair (the kind you really do not want to find) in the shower, a spiderweb on the staircase, dust everywhere, the floors were not swept, stains on the carpets, the towels need to be retired (they smell when wet) and we had to re-wash all dishes as they were dirty. Also, the television does not work. We called management and there was nothing they could do but send over a cleaning lady that would have needed a week to get the place in order. The only thing this place has going for it is that it is located on the North Shore of Oahu. Luckily, we were there for a family wedding so it did not spoil our time but had we been there for just a vacation it would have. We had family staying in other condos and they were similarly run down and they were also disappointed. We were not sure if the condo was so poorly kept because of a problem with the owners or with the management but it is time for a change with these condos, especially since there are many great Airbnb options nearby for less money. We would suggest an Airbnb because the renters are accountable for their property. These condos will need to upgraded to keep up with the times.
Property Manager Response: Response from The Estates at Turtle Bay, Inc. We regret that these guests were so disappointed. It should be noted that we did not receive a complaint until they had been in the condo for 2 days, and the condo had been freshened the day of check in. Perhaps their expectations were too high, as our condos normally receive great reviews. This condo has been remodeled and is very up-to-date.
A guest from Honolulu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2015 Overall experience was good. Unit was located in a very convenient location and the weekend was enjoyable. Facilities were great for the kids. Security was a bit heavy handed and lacked the aloha spirit we had experienced on our last stay. Overall, we had a relaxing time and enjoyed the stay.
Barbara W. from Denver, CO does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in September, 2014 very nice, clean but terribly hot. Wish these units could have central air
Property Manager Response: Response from The Estates at Turtle Bay, Inc. Normally we do have some kind of trade winds that help to keep the condo cool. Unfortunately, during your stay, weather was especially hot and humid.
Jason C. from Herriman, UT does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2014 This place is definitely pretty old, which is not necessarily bad in and of itself, but it was so dirty and disgusting. Stains on carpet and furniture. Dust, lint, grime everywhere. The AC is old and can not keep up. We were in a state of mildly sweating the entire time we stayed there. My wife hated it so bad that it seriously distracted from our stay which is a shame because this area of the island is paradise.
A guest from West Jordan, UT does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2014 This rental was nice. Beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of room for my family. However, it really wasn't as clean as I would expect. It was clean , but under and behind things in the kitchen, it wasn't clean. Corners were not clean. Then there were ants in the dressers. So ants got on my and my daughter's things. Luckily we hadn't put all of our belongings in the dressers. The rugs were a little dirty. Wouldn't have been a big deal except that I have a crawling baby. And there's no central A/C. It was quite humid most of the time. They have two window A/C units that are in the two bedrooms. The loft was quite warm as well as the main living area. It was uncomfortable for us. Nice and secure location. Loved the view of the greenery around. But I probably wouldn't stay there again.
Property Manager Response: Response from The Estates at Turtle Bay, Inc. There is no central A/C in any of the condos at Turtle Bay
Corinne M. from Chilliwack, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2014 Perfect location. Easy 7 minute walk to the beach at Turtle Bay Resort. Very clean condo and perfect setup for our group needing 5 separate beds. Very we'll stocked. Nice quiet location with access to 3 swimming pools. Recommend Shaka Kayak tour. Close to many restaurants and food trucks. Polynesian Cultural Center nearby. Would definitely stay again. Great location if you're looking for the quieter area of Oahu.
A guest from Tiburon, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2014 I was very unhappy with the cockroaches in the kitchen and the downstairs bathroom, that came out especially at night. I did not like the peeling paint on the bathroom ceiling in the downstairs bathroom. I did not like the old paint cans in the downstairs bedroom closet. I did not like the disheveled garden outside the front door, and the leaves that were actually growing into the downstairs bedroom through the window shutters. I did not like the fact that the next door neighbor kept her door constantly open all day and evening and watched our comings and goings = a feeling of no privacy. I did not like that I got stuck behind cars trying to get into the only entrance gate, I guess because they did not have the code to enter the condominium complex, so we had to ask them to move their car so we could get in and they were not pleased. The condo was a long ways from the Turtle Bay Hotel beach and it was very hard to find a place to park in the parking lot at Turtle Bay hotel. Overall, this was not a luxurious vacation experience and the condo felt a bit run down and shabby considering the amount of money we paid to stay there for three nights.
Property Manager Response: Response from The Estates at Turtle Bay, Inc. Unfortunately we are in the tropic's and when the weather changes it tends to bring out the bugs. We do regularly fumigate the units and have taken additional steps to address the bugs. As for the neighbor leaving her screen door open, she does not use AC and leaves her door open to allow for a cross breeze to keep her unit cool. We also mentioned that the Turtle Bay Resort and beach are a 10 min walk from the condo's and lastly we do not advertise our condo's as being luxurious, more like affordable cottages. The Resort have Villa's that are considered luxurious and they rent at approximately $750.00 a night!
A guest from Honolulu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2014 Very comfortable condo with everything we needed! Lots of room for the 6 of us. Great washer and dryer. Loved the screened in lanai overlooking the golf course. Only problem was kitchen was infested with roaches-had we been booked to stay longer than 3 days, we would have asked management to do something about the problem.
The property needs fumigation it had a lot of cockroaches.
A guest from Honolulu, HI does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2014 The manager was not very helpful. We had a hard time putting back the lock box and she was rude to us. We are not used to putting back lock boxes. We are used to key cards and not lock boxes. Da! I guess we left the property 30 mins. past the check out time, it's ok to remind us that we stayed a little over but in a nice way, please. We are professionals here. We would understand, you just have to talk nicely.
A guest from Etobicoke, ONT recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in December, 2013 The condo was generally comfortable although there were 2 issues that need resolution:1. The main floor bathroom has a leaky (water/rust)roof above the tub. This water leaks onto the floor. It looks like the leak has been there for some time and I suspect the roof will collapse into the tub if not soon fully repaired.2. Ants were present in both bedrooms and we bought ant traps to deal with this issue. They appeared to come from the rattan furniture.
A guest from Honolulu, Hawaii recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2013 Great unit! Clean and nice except we couldve used a small dining table instead of the counter stools. Highly recommended unit.
Patricia B. from Union City, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2013 The only negative thing I can say about this place is that the the washing machine was not working. That was a negative for me. There were 5 of us vacationing for several days there. I really needed to wash on a nightly basis. otherwise, place was perfect.
Property Manager Response: Response from The Estates at Turtle Bay, Inc. Washer has been fixed as of 8/27/13
Reviewed by: Hans T. recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2013 Enjoyed our stayAt our late arrival the key was not in the locker where it should be.Took us an expensive international call to request it.The location to drop off the key was hard to find (no address provided, only the name of a mill) and it is in the wrong way if you jave to travel to the airport. Should be possible to drop it off in the property.
Do NOT rent from The Estates at Turtle Bay; Esp. Not WEST 12!
Cheri T. from Honolulu, HI does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2013 To say the very least, we were extremely disappointed with The Estates at Turtle Bay Rentals; more specifically unit WEST 12. The entire place was was completely dusty from top to bottom (esp ceiling fans which blew all the dust around and gave a few of the kids allergy attacks), dirty counter tops, the washing machine & freezer was broken (all ice cream melted & wasted), limited hot water (a few of us that bathed late only had ice cold water!!), limited amenities (1 extra roll of toilet paper For TWO bathrooms), And most of all, unfriendly & unhelpful staff (including the owner of our unit/company: Cindy Files who accused us of stealing her pillow case, and who was NOT satisfied until rudely sifting through our dirty laundry for exaggeration!). After renting from this company for a few years now, we now know this definitely will be the last! Oh and by the way.... No apology was ever given... Only an excuse of how she was in the middle of "training" new cleaners and we should "understand" how this goes.......yeah right!! This is so upsetting to know there are companies out there who only care about making money and NOT about the experience that people/tourist receive when supposedly staying in "paradise". Shame on you, Cindy!! Be expecting a call from the BBB, soon!!!!!
A guest from Honolulu, HI does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2013 The floors were dirty and had sand throughout the hall way and in the bathrooms. There was hair and dirt in the bathrooms floor and in the tub. A roach crawled on my bed when I woke up in the morning. There were few other roaches throughout the unit. We rented this two units for my wedding. It was disappointing that the unit was dirty. I called the property manager and was told that a cleaner would come first thing the next morning. No one came.
nicole g. from palm harbor, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2013 This condo is in a wonderful location, close to awesome beaches and amenities. We did extensive research before renting so we knew what to expect but the ant problem was a huge turnoff. The ants weren't bad in the kitchen but in the upstairs shower. It was disgusting. We sprayed everyday to kill them but the next day they were swarming again. There was certainly no food in the upstairs shower. There was long dark hairs all over the floor from the previous renter that should have been cleaned before we got there, but other than that we were very happy. We were supplied with boogie boards for the kids and snorkels and beach chairs and coolers. That made our stay so much better, thank you!
LINDA F. from NAMPA, ID recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in May, 2013 We stayed in unit 012 West. The unit is nice but really needs a deep cleaning. We fought with ants the whole stay even in our beds. The windows were very dirty and furniture uncomfortable (needs updated) The grounds are beauitful, unit is a short walk to the ocean. Cindy the unit owner is very nice and helpful as were all the stuff we came in contact with. We rented the tennis club house for a gathering which was very nice and helpful. I would recommend this unit if it was cleaned better and updated furniture.

Reviewed by: Jamie C. recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2012 Beautiful unit and great location pretty quiet. Our only complaint is that the sprinklers come on WAY to early in the morning. Other than that everything was great!
Reviewed by: Carol L. recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 We had a wonderful stay in West 12. Place was mostly clean (some dust/dirt and ants). The master bedroom door handle needs to be replaced - was very difficult to turn. Some of the upper windows around the condo would not close completely. Also, the front door locking need upgrading - a deadbolt would provide better security and privacy. The lock on there now is pretty weak. It should also be able to key lock from the outside (not just twist the lock from the inside of the door). Otherwise, the place was nice. The kitchen was very nice and everything was in working order. Thank you again.Carol Lambson
Allison J. from West Linn, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2012 We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was bright and clean with all the comforts of home. It was fantastic to have a washer and dryer in the unit. The screened in lanai was a treat as well. It was a great condo for a family. The oven didn't work, but other then that, the unit was great!
A guest from Honolulu, Hawaii recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2012 My brothers' and sister's families stayed at the Estates @ Turtle Bay (ETB) and we had a wonderful time. We were able to use the golf course, horseback riding and restaurants at the TB hotel and Lei Lei's at the golf course. We never left the property. The kids enjoyed the almost private pool and when we were not eating out, we were able to prepare our own healthy meals at the townhouses.
Quay L. from Cnnyon Lake, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2011 5 of us went to my son's wedding at the resort. We chose a condo because we wanted the extra room. All of us were very pleased. The condo was very nice and we had PLENTY of room. We loved our trip and will definitely stay there again!

Property Manager Response: Response from The Estates at Turtle Bay, Inc. The water heater in this condo has been replaced.
A guest from Honolulu, Hawaii recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2011 We were generally very happy with the condo and had a great time. The bathrooms were clean. Lots of "extras" like boogie boards, coolers, BBQs, beach towels, and an array of kitchenwares. The lanai space was great--it overlooked the golf course and was a stone's throw away from Lei Lei's Restaurant. We never used the AC because there was a great breeze and the fans also helped keep things cool. Very relaxing. Some of the problem areas for us were the stickiness of the dresser drawers and kitchen cabinets. They really were stuck and hard to use. Plus, I don't think anyone checked the drawers as there were a couple of clothes items left behind and a drawer that held some empty juice bottles. The refrigerator also had some leftover bread and desserts. I'm sure some folks may appreciate leftover items and don't mind it, but I think that's gross. There were also partially used shampoos and soaps. I guess it's really your own personal preferences about using something left behind by someone else. Overall, we would stay again. The location and lay out of the condo make up for it. Close to the pools, restaurants, etc. and although they only guaranteed one parking stall, we were able to use a guest stall for our second car as well. Great deal!
Diana D. from Hayward, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2011 We did not expect the condo to be so nice. It was very clean and well stocked. There was everything we needed to prepare any meal. The property manager was not only helpful but nice and accessible. When we had a minor plumbing problem, the management responded immediately and the fix was made while we were sightseeing for the day. The location is perfect, a very close walk to the beach, and close to so many other attractions. I highly recommend this condo. We had a fabulous time!
Only one entry pass card was a pain. Property management was courteous until we asked for an extra half hour to checkout.
A guest from Salt Lake City, UT recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in December, 2010 We used a credit card that had not been used anywhere else except to pay for our room, and the next day that same card was being used illegally in Detroit. Your system must not be very secure. This was too coincidental.
A guest from cerritos, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2010 loved having kitchen well-stocked(pots,utensils,flatware, dishware! liked the tile throughout condo. loved screened in porch except for large bush outside screen blocking mountain view. loved short walk to beach. never figured out how to turn off overhead fan in upstairs bedroom.
A guest from Honolulu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2010 Three stars for the hard pillows and beds. Four stars for cleanliness because the upstairs bedroom floor was dusty and dirty, and the a/c dusty. We cleaned it up, no prob. Killed a bunch of ants in that room. This unit has everything you need! Very well equipped! Very nice furnishings, superb location. We would definately return to this property!!
A guest from Honolulu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2010 The dinner at Ola was great. Lunch is also wonderful. You can go to the beach and park free in the lot with a beach visitor pass. The unit itself was very nice and we enjoyed the clean nice space. The unit could not be made really cold but the 2 bedrooms both had air con.
A guest from North Vancouver, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2010 The garbage truck early every morning was extremely loud. And we had no idea how to check in when we arrived late. The office number says not to call unless emergency. Otherwise the condo was great and pool was nice and warm.
Property Manager Response: Response from The Estates at Turtle Bay, Inc. Every guest is sent a confirmation letter with detailed check-in instructions.

Fantastic as Usual Great Staff and beautiful condos
Reviewed by: Suzanne M. recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2009 We had a great time. Condo was well appointed and spotless. Had everything to make the stay comfortable. The staff was so helpful and efficient. Cudos to them! Turtle Bay is so well groomed with fantastic foliage and the pool was spotless and heated! Adult only pool was a great option too. Quick walk to the most beautiful beach on earth! Great jogging/walking paths in the pines along the ocean and big surf too. What more could you want? Gotta try the Mai Tai at the nearby hotel pool bar, they are world famous. Will come again soon as I have for the last 20 years. You won't be disappointed.
Traer C. from Springville, UT recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2009 Over all, excellent. Two items: 1.The king bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was perhaps the worst bed I have ever had at any hotel or condo and it caused me a great deal of back pain which soured my trip somewhat. 2. The security guards were rude and annoyed at any questions. After talking with them twice with simple questions (Is there beach access from here? Is there WiFi access? - both answered with a curt "NO" without even looking at us), we did not approach them again.
A guest from Wailuku, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2009 The internet did not work, that was very disappointing smoke alarm battery went off all night, light bulbs need changing

Phil T. from Honolulu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2009 The only downside issue regarding this property is the condition of the pots/pans, they have had it and need replacing. Otherwise, loved the place.
Mele H. from Haleiwa, Hawaii recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2008 The overall stay at the estates will be a very memorable one and if i should need another place to stay at while here it will be through the estates that i find one!!!!
A guest from Waipahu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2008 This was the perfect location for our intergenerational family. Very comfortable and well-equipped. We'd like to do it again next year!
A guest from Keaau, HI does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2008 If the air conditioning system worked well, it would have been perfect. But because it did not, I wouldn't stay there again. The a/c units are in each bedroom blowing directly at the pillow of a bed, unable to move or adjust the direction. Therefore, the person in that bed either freezes their head or the rest of the room stays hot. Sorry, I wish I could have given a good review.
Property Manager Response:
These are window auir conditioners and they are placed in the only possible area of the room where they can be properly installed.
Duran T. from Mesa, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in May, 2008 If you're going to Oahu this is the only way to go. Close to good golf, best beaches, best side of the island, best access to the things you want to do, best place to stay with a family.
A guest from Honomu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2008 We were all extremely happy with our experience at Turtle Bay Estates. Loved our unit. It was almost spotless. The mirror in the master bathroom had some splashes of water and maybe soap right above the sink, and that was the only thing I noticed that wasn't spotless. There were some paint cans stacked in downstairs bedroom closet, & the ladies in that room were concerned about their clothing touching those. Other than that, it couldn't have been much better.
A guest from Vallejo, California does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2008 Paid extra for air conditioning but both units were not working. Didn't get a discount from that, just "sorry". Needs new furnitures esp. in bedrooms. Windows need darker shades (too bright so we couldn't sleep in).
Fred S. from St. Helena, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 33 days in January, 2008 We've been been visiting the North Shore of Oahu for many years and always stay at the Estates at Turtle Bay. It's the perfect spot on North Shore with access to big wave surf, golf, excellent restaurants and shopping in nearby Haleiwa.
Jim S. from Lacombe, Alberta recommends this property. Stayed for 12 days in December, 2007 Our stay in The Estates at Turtle Bay was very satisfying. We have friends who live in the same condo complex where we usually stay but we came with our three children and needed extra space. It was the first time for our kids aged 22, 20 and 14 to be in Hawaii and they were absolutly thrilled. Our favorite places are in the North Shore of Oahu as we do not like the big city crush of Honolulu. The kids loved Matsumoto shaved ice in Haliewa and the pineapple ice cream at Dole Plantation. As there were five of us staying in the condo, it was very economical as compared with trying to cram five into a hotel room or having to rent two units to accomodate everybody. Our Hawaiian friend made great use of the habachi, cooking us some very tasty meals and we walked the beaches at Turtle Bay searching for puka shells. We have recommended many people to search out the estates at Turtle Bay if they are thinking of going to Hawaii and we would not hesitate to use the condos if we are travelling with more people.
SHARON A. from WAHIAWA, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2007 THESE CONDO'S ARE WONDERFUL. ON THE GOLF COURSE, BEAUTIFUL. CLOSE TO MANY OTHER ACTIVITIES I.E. SWIMMING, HORSEBACK RIDING, RESTAURANTS (LEILEI'S AT THE GOLF COURSE....TRY THE GRILLED PRIME RIB AND SEAFOOD PASTA.) YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.
