An Incredible Magical Moment
Dianna H. from Venice, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2016 My future husband and I spent 2 nights here for our anniversary celebration! We had the most magical memory experience ever and only 18 miles from our home! A hidden gem for sure!
William H. from Ormond Beach, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2015 Stayed at the Palm Island Marina Condo for my 30th High School reunion. Very clean and cozy. Could not ask for a better location. We brought our boat and were just minutes from Stump Pass. Will definitely be back.
Diane R. from Placida, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in May, 2015 We were in unit 1113 at first, and a boat was backed into the boat slip level with our lanai giving us no privacy at all inside or out. Also the place was not very clean. We then moved to another unit which was perfect. It ended up being a very nice vacation.
A guest from Placida, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2015 We enjoyed the villa, always something to see from the bedroom window or eating area. Water taxi was great, nearby activities were just what we wanted including golf shelling and great places to eat. The villa was spotless, took a day to figure out how to get around, The out door grills were a plus for dining "in." Grocery is up the main road nearby and two excellent restaurants Villa Capri and Zydeco with music on weekends! Our assigned space was always open when we returned. The pool and hot tub were very nice and watching sunsets from the Harbor master perch near poolwas more than you could have asked for.Harbor action always offered something new to watch, Remember this condo is not ON the beach. ENJOY!
A guest from Placida, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2014 Overall, good, however the unit was lacking a few simple things that would have made all the difference. There were only a few hangers in the closet and there was no dresser in the bedroom so we lived out of our suitcases all week. There was only one hook and no towel bar in the bathroom. And the sofa inthe living room was VERY old and uncomfortable.
Thanks for an awesome vacation Palm Island Resort!
Pamela A. from Placida, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2014 My husband and I are avid kayakers & bicyclers while we vacation and this vacation was full of both. The condo was beautiful and so comfortable or us. We loved coming back after a long day of activities. The location was perfect for kayaking and we did a lot of it. We saw so much and I even experienced a manatee that bumped up on the bottom of my kayak and lifted me out of the water. Wow, was that scarey but fun after I figured out that it was a manatee! We love spotting birds and there were so many there and the variety was huge. We by happen chance experienced a baby loggerhead turtle release one night on Englewood Beach. They are such cute little buggers! The people we interacted with at the resort were very nice and made us feel very welcome. we visited Don Pedro S.P & Stump Pass S.P while we there and they were beautiful. I love the old Florida flora. Bicycling on Palm Island was a real treat and we made a day of it by bringing a cooler and a lunch with us. I would recommend this place for a fun family vacation wothout all the resortiness.
A guest from New Lenox, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2013 Overall the yacht club members were happy with the marina. However when I made our condo reservation I ask the differance between the prices of the units and I was NOT told some had evevator access vs we had to climb two flights of very steep stairs. For us this was very very problematic. Last time we were there we had the elevator building and I did not know the other building had none. It is very important that you should tell your customers there is a choice. Elevator or climb. Even the lower floor in the stair only building would have been better for our situation.
A guest from Vergennes, VT recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2013 We did not know where to get our keys when we arrived and had to make 3 stops and 2 phone calls. Didn't know where to leave keys until we called again. Otherwise the stay was wonderful. I little more information about the car ferry and hours of water taxi would have been helpful.
Drew K. from Ft. Lauderdale, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2013 We brought our boat to the resort. Everyone at the Marina was more than helpful! The room was quaint and clean. The restaurant was excellent and accommodating to special requests. We look forward to our next visit!
Peggy B. from Holmes Beach, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2012 The condo needed updating. The phone numbers written on brochures did not work with our cell phones. We never got the ability to reserve a golf cart or get a massage. We left messages for the concierge but never received a call back. The website never suggested that you needed 24 notice for a massage or even if one was available.
A guest from Ft. Pierce, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2012 Nice resort, small marina condos on the mainland and a larger condo resort on the island...condos were nice, but showing age (narrow stairs, some kind of dirt/oil on and inside the front door, yellowing on the bathroom lights, normal wear and tear) shower/tub rather small due to updating with an insert....well equipped kitchen and cleaning supplies...clean...very comfortable bed with nice sheets...view was of the highway overlooking a small marina and a boatyard...pool area wonderful, but beverage machine not working ...no where close to get sure to bring extra water and drinks with you..although there is a resataurant on the property...VERY good food!!...Had a special that included a water taxi to the island...we were going to have a nice lunch and visit the beach....but we arrived too late...the water taxi had VERY reduced hours, and we had to drive to the ferry and pay an exhorbitant amount (OMG...$55 for a vehicle!! $6 for a ped) to go perhaps 100 feet across the ICW....only to discover that the portion of the resort on the island was NOT in walking distance from the ferry landing...only by the kindness of strangers in a golf cart did we get to the island area of the resort and restaurant...did get a lot of island history and gossip from our impromptu tour really was quite fun...but was definitely nice when we got there...nice restaurant, beautiful beach....and an employee was able to give us a cart ride back to the ferry landing so we could return....all-in-all we had a nice time...
Timothy S. from Palm Harbor, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2011 Marina Villas were very "average". Reservation/Check-in/Check-out experience was the oddest, slowest, most unresponsive I have ever had. On-Site marina and restaurant staff very friendly. But the way to run a business. Nobody home!
Holly S. from Punta Gorda, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2010 We visited Palm Island this week to join our Yacht Club on their Annual Christmas Cruise. Our condo #1127 was exactly what we wanted. One bedroom/one bath, separate living/dining room and kitchen. It was spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfortable. Our screen enclosed lanai looked out over the Marina and at night time, with the boats all decorated for the Holidays, it looked like a winter wonderland. On our second night, Leverock's, the resorts restaurant, catered a dinner for the Club and all the food was delicious. Even though the function was outdoors, by the pool, on a chilly night, everything was served piping hot by friendly and attentive staff dressed like Santa's elves. It made for a festive and fun atmosphere. After a short ferry ride across the Intracoastal, we arrived at the Resort's beachfront facility. The beach is wide with powder white sand and you can walk for miles in either direction. Shelling and kite flying were the order for the day and everyone had a wonderful time.We are looking forward to our return visit to this gem on the gulf in Charlotte County.
JORDAN P. from TUSON, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in February, 2010 It was a great place to stay! We had a lot of fun and it was just what we wanted for the first few days of our honeymoon... some place to just relax and prepare our own meals at our place. For the most part it was everything we expected! No real complaints! No free wi-fi from our place (but then again that kept us from being on the computer all day!). The kitchen utensils were fine (knives could have been better for cutting up veggies...) other then that it was fine. One night we had a romantic dinner on the screened in porch. One thing that I didn't like was the pricing on the website wasn't the current pricing so you felt rushed making decisions on the phone when booking as it was different. But they honored a free night stay to a special that had expired a week before... so that was nice. I'd go there again though in a heartbeat! Well worth it!
A guest from BRADENTON, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2008 The property was a perfect location right next to our friend's boat. The couch was the worst part of furniture..needs replacing BAD. But, the funny thing is, you could film an episode of "Swingtown" in that condo because it looks like a condo right out of the 70's...appliances and all! Overall, great place, great stay! Thanks!
