Having a whole weekend with my wife and no kids, no cats and no work was awesome. Spending it with the Palm Island resort staff really kicked it up a notch. From the moment we arrived at the Marina, we both felt the pressure lifting. A quick trip to our Marina Condo confirmed that we had found our own hideaway. After unloading the car we took the free Water Taxi to the Island Resort to check it out...WOW!!! We walked around the Resort, and then went down to the beach and saw the most beautiful array of sand, surf and shells. |

Palm Island Escape Weekend Joy S. from Winter Spring, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2011 Palm Island is a beautiful resort that we enjoy coming to each year. The accommendations on the Marina side was outdated but clean. Bed was hard, TV's old and stand delapidated. Kitchen accessories were very nice, plenty of dishes to have people in for dinner, plastic for around the pool and very nice pans for cooking. The unit is just older than the last one we were in. Suggestiion-- a list of itmes the unit contains such as paper towels, salt, pepper, towels, etc. and things someone may need such as storage bags, saran wrap, shampoo,(small one available in unit) but not enough. Overall the unit was clean, pool warm, beach wonderful and we had a fabulous time. Will be back but will ask for a different unit. |

Very dated and sparse, not up to Palm Island standards gordon m. from sarasota, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 1 days in March, 2010 We frequent Palm Island resort frequently and this unit does not come close to the level of quality we have experienced in the past.Here are some of the issues.Oven latch wouldn't open so we couldn't use the oven to cook our dinner.Very sparsely furnished and very low quality decorating and furnishing.Outdated and small TV and none of the remotes worked.Although minor issues they are very annoying.We will continue visiting the resort regularly but we will be sure not to stay in unit 1211. |

Having toured many of the others it must just be rotten luck. The units are very clean however and this will in no way, preclude me from staying there again. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2009 Although the unit was very clean and we liked the location, there were many problems. Examples: the washer was extremely loud and sounded like it would break, the dryer interior was very rusted and the door broke, there was barely enough hot water to complete a shower, there were no towel bars in the bathroom at all (just one tiny plastic hook by the sink, and the toilet didn't work very well by the third day. We've stayed at this resort once before several years ago and it was terrific, but this unit was very disappointing. |
