Robert E. from Greer, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2015 A very nice unit overlooking the marina. It brought back good memories since we used to keep our boat there some years ago. The unit was well kept and appointed. Nearby restaurants for your convenience. We would definitely recommend you consider this location for your next stay.
A guest from Placida, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2015 This condo was a great location for mainland shopping or a day at the beach. Great hospitality from everyone. Rum Bay wad awesome and Leverock's is conveniently located for a quick snack or dinner after the taxi ride back from the island.
A guest from Tampa, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2015 Despite Mother Nature, my husband and I were determined to have a great anniversary weekend. However, the location we rented was not at all what we expected and described by the receptionist. I was well aware that the rental was located on the marina side. What was miscommunicated to us was the fact that it was on the mainland, rather then the island. When my reservation was booked and payment taken the Sunday after my on line inquiry, the lady on the opposite end of he line explained a condo on the island. We discussed quite a bit about what we should expect on our vacation. We discussed available amenities, she informed me that I should shop before arriving to the island, she even described where we would park and how it was possible to take our kayaks but that a trailer was not allowed. Etc. was not until the date of our arrival that we were informed that our condo was on the mainland. Not only were we not on the island, we soon found that the water taxi was closed due to the rain. The only access to the island involved a unexpected large fee. The condo itself was fit however the experience was rather disappointing. It is sad that your employee is providing erroneous information. Had I known the set up, would have not booked the condo.
A guest from Cleverdale, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in April, 2015 This Marina rental was just right for the two of us. Quiet & comfortable and just the right location. The unit was comfortably furnished and well stocked with all the necessities.Nice pool, well run marina with lots to admire!
John R. from McGregor, ON recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2014 We really enjoyed our stay. Only deal is a one bedroom should only be used by 1 couple. Everything was nice. the view , the weather, the staff(incredible). Thanks Debbie. Only down side no Wi-Fi.
A guest from Osceola, WI does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2014 The staff at Palm Island Resort was very pleasant and accommodating. The rental unit was adequately equipped, but needed a lot of TLC. The weather was beautiful during our stay and we wanted to leave the patio doors open, but the owner of the boat below us at the marina had a small dog that when left alone barked constantly. I did call to let the management know, but there was nothing they could do until the owner returned so if we wanted to have the patio doors open we had to put up with the barking. We felt sorry for the dog. It must have been stressed out being left alone all day.We went to the beach a couple of times. It is beautiful!
A guest from Riverview, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in September, 2014 wonderful, cant wait to stay again. from talking to the owner to dealing with the staff at the rental office just wonderful.
A guest from Sarasota, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 1 days in April, 2014 TV said please call Comcast - so no TV, No Phone, No Hot Water. Sat on bed and it crashed to floor. Nice View, Nice Pool with free beer on Saturday afternoon, Marina had showers so we could bath with hot water. Management company only works Monday thru Friday so no one around to help with anything. Did call the service line, twice and spoke to someone who promised to call back, but never did.
Linda K. from Granger, IN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2014 In August, I made a reservation for the Marina knowing that I could never stay on the island because of my husband's heart condition. An ambulance could never get there in time to help him. 5 days before our stay, I got a call saying we had been "upgraded" to the island. When I called back, Tonya said they had the right to change units. I explained again why we could not stay on the island(too far to walk and no elevator). The day before she was able to get us back into the Marina. My husband had just spent 11 days in the hospital in Palm Beach with congestive heart failure. I did not need the extra stress. When I made the reservation. I was told I would have full access to the resort, even facilities on the island. The desk clerk on the island, Marty, took great pleasure in telling me I had no access to the pool. She talked to me like a second class citizen. Every day I took the taxi to the island I was charges $3.00. The last day, the driver told me I didn't need to pay because I was at the Marina. Everyone seemed to follow different rules. Our unit looked very "worn out". Furniture was old and couch was completely broken down. On Wed. morning, my husband walked into water covering the kitchen floor! We waited for someone to come fix it. The maintenance man told us to mop it up with some bath towels! I told him to "mop it up" I was on vacation. We waited the rest of the day for the installation of the new water heater. I asked and was reimbursed for the lost day. These general maintenance things should have been taken care of before renting. Why would you assume a 13 year old water heater would keep working forever? The bathroom was the worst!!!!! No, I will not return to the resort.Tonya was extremely nice, but Marty was so disrespectful I could have slapped her! For a $1000 a week, not on the beach, I expected more.
Megan S. from St Pete Beach, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in June, 2013 We had a great stay and would highly recommend palm island resort and marina. We will be back!
Property Manager Response: Response from Palm Island Resort Megan, Thank you for your review of your recent stay at Palm Island Resort and the Marina Villas. We are always happy to hear that our guests have enjoyed their stay and will be returning
Kevin B. from New Port Richey, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2013 Our stay was based on where we could keep our boat. When I found out location to the island and the Boca Grand Pass the decision was clear. The Marina staff were awesome! The villas were very nice. We felt like we were at home. We even had several friends come down on different weekends to enjoy the same experience. We will be staying here again:)
Property Manager Response: Response from Palm Island Resort Kevin, We are glad to hear you were pleased with the location, staff and the villas. Our Palm Island Team looks forward to welcoming you back on your next stay.
Kyle P. from Immokalee, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2013 It was a very nice experience, boating was easy and the bay is phenomenal, however, I wish it hadn't been so cold.
A guest from Naples, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in February, 2013 Great place to stay. Very Quiet. Condo was extermely clean and had a great view. The furnushings were most likely original to the condo. Everything was mauve and blue...Otherwise all was well!
Anne S. from St. Pete, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in January, 2013 The accomodations were fine, we did have ants in the kitchen which we reported and maintenance came and put out traps. Our unit's TV only had basic cable - none of the regular cable stations, this was a dissappointment.
Mike R. from Maitland, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2012 Let me start by saying that the staff couldn't have been nicer. Having a whole weekend with my wife and no kids, no cats and no work was awesome. Spending it with the Palm Island resort staff really kicked it up a notch. From the moment we arrived at the Marina, we both felt the pressure lifting. A quick trip to our Marina Condo confirmed that we had found our own hideaway. After unloading the car we took the free Water Taxi to the Island Resort to check it out...WOW!!! We walked around the Resort, and then went down to the beach and saw the most beautiful array of sand, surf and shells.
A guest from Punta Gorda, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in May, 2012 I think I was lucky, my room was very nice and clean. I was a little nervous before checking in listening to everyone elses committs and bugs and bad smells. I though have no complaints. A nice stay!
A guest from Brookline, MA recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in February, 2012 The pool is wonderful. It's heated, though for a few days was cold, but [and here is where it's important to know[ once reminded, the maintenance team made sure the heat in the pool was fine the next day.The marina has boats coming and going, and the boaters use the pool. They are nice! This is our second trip here.
A guest from ST. PETERSBERG, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2011 We were with a group of about 25 people, some in condos and some on boats. The pool and pavillion areas were perfect for our group get togethers. All of us were extremely pleased with the weekend and are looking forward to next year's event.
Joy S. from Winter Spring, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2011 Palm Island is a beautiful resort that we enjoy coming to each year. The accommendations on the Marina side was outdated but clean. Bed was hard, TV's old and stand delapidated. Kitchen accessories were very nice, plenty of dishes to have people in for dinner, plastic for around the pool and very nice pans for cooking. The unit is just older than the last one we were in. Suggestiion-- a list of itmes the unit contains such as paper towels, salt, pepper, towels, etc. and things someone may need such as storage bags, saran wrap, shampoo,(small one available in unit) but not enough. Overall the unit was clean, pool warm, beach wonderful and we had a fabulous time. Will be back but will ask for a different unit.
A guest from Crown Point, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2011 Even though the unit needed some updating, it was clean and comfortable. We liked being away from the hustle and bustle of cities, but close enough to drive to them in a matter of minutes.
A guest from Davenport, Iowa recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in February, 2011 The condo was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very clean and there was more than enough utencils, plates, glassware and appliances. I was a bit let down with the 1970's era television in the living room! A bit pricey for the accomodations, but met our needs.
Very dated and sparse, not up to Palm Island standards
gordon m. from sarasota, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 1 days in March, 2010 We frequent Palm Island resort frequently and this unit does not come close to the level of quality we have experienced in the past. Here are some of the issues.Oven latch wouldn't open so we couldn't use the oven to cook our dinner.Very sparsely furnished and very low quality decorating and furnishing.Outdated and small TV and none of the remotes worked.Although minor issues they are very annoying. We will continue visiting the resort regularly but we will be sure not to stay in unit 1211.
A guest from N. Fort Meyers, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in November, 2009 our only problem was the key didn't work but Stephanie and another woman went out of there way to help us.
Property Manager Response: Response from Palm Island Resort Dear Ms. Kent, Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to our survey. We appreciate your stay with us and hope to see you again soon. DJ Cutler, Director of Hospitality Operations

A guest from APOAKA, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2009 It seems that everytime I stay in the Harbortown Condo's I end up with one that has very outdated and uncomfortable furniture. Having toured many of the others it must just be rotten luck. The units are very clean however and this will in no way, preclude me from staying there again.
Property Manager Response:
Dear Ms. Bavaro, Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience. Next time you book with us, please ask for an updated unit and we do our very best to accommodate your needs. We look forward to your next visit. DJ Cutler, Director of Hospitality Operations
Michael R. from TAMPA, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2009 Wonderful location and staff. Only complaint is the washing machine was broken in unit.
Property Manager Response:

Property Manager Response:
Dear Mr. Campbell, Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know about your experience. We look forward to your next stay with us! DJ Cutler, Director of Hospitality Operations
Anne C. from Mahwah, NJ does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2009 Although the unit was very clean and we liked the location, there were many problems. Examples: the washer was extremely loud and sounded like it would break, the dryer interior was very rusted and the door broke, there was barely enough hot water to complete a shower, there were no towel bars in the bathroom at all (just one tiny plastic hook by the sink, and the toilet didn't work very well by the third day. We've stayed at this resort once before several years ago and it was terrific, but this unit was very disappointing.
CHARLES M. from CLEARWATER, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 1 days in July, 2008 Trip was a real disappointment. Location was terrible, travel to island was very confusing. Noise with the boats in the AM terrible. We left there and went to Sanibel and it was delightful
Palm Island Mainland Marina Villas are not the place to stay
A guest from CAMBRIDGE, MA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2008 Palm Island itself may be fine, but don't stay in the Marina Villas. You are definitely a second-class citizen there, and the transportation to the island is difficult and expensive.
