The setting is spectacular. One of the nicest natural beach environments I have ever experienced. The condos and facilities are average. The infrastructure on the island is getting old and needs an upgrade. Disapointed that the store no longer carries food and household items. It used to be so convenient to replenish the basics. Now we have to go off island every time we need something. Staff are very friendly and competent. As long as the natural beatuy of palm Island is maintained, I will keep coming back. |

Stayed for 4 days in September, 2012 As always we looked forward to our next visit to an old friend, Palm Island. The escape from our hectic work world is the best medicine possible. The peace and solitude was indescrible.On check-out, I did mention to staff that the dishwasher in 3721 seemed uncommonly loud, and being from Tampa, we were not totally overwhelmed by the sight of 4-5 cockroaches over the stay.There was no bug spray or a fly swatter available in condo. Shoe soles are still effective! It was our choice not to be disturbed by contacting maintainance to attend to those issues. We are already planning out next trip to see you. |

Loved the location and island however the staff I would not A guest from Cheasapeake, VI does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2012 I loved Palm Island Resort however the customer service was terrible. I had just spent 5 days at another resort in Key West then traveled to a wedding on this resort and I was shocked at how guests were treated. I have had much better service in way less quality hotels! I was told I could do early check-in and kept calling in to check when my room was ready, then finally at 3:15 I called in and asked again and was told "Of ya its ready we forgot to call you" this is completely unacceptable. I would love to come back to visit the island but under this management I would never return. The simplest tasks such as getting a bellman, the front desk staff acted like it was the hardest task they had ever been asked before! |

May stay at Palm Island John H. from Clearwater, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2012 First time at Palm Island and had a very pleasant long weekend. We stayed in a one bedroon top level unit that was dated in its decor but it was very clean and had a great view. We took bicycles and had fun riding all over the little island. Other friends rented golf carts which did come in handy. Large swimming pools and wide open beachs made for pleasant lazy days. Had lunchs at the bar/restaurant on the property and there were quite nice and staff very pleasant.If you want a very quiet get away from it all, read books at the beach and just relaz trip, then this is a good place to go. |

I purchased groupon and was told that if I needed to cancel my groupon would be forfieted, even though there was time left with the promotion. I was not too thrilled but figured I was planning to visit, so let's worry about that if need be, but in the back of my mind thought I probably would not be returning. Also, it seemed to me that when the person I spoke to asked another in the office for help that individual seemed cranky (that was the part that bothered me).Well when we arrived and enjoyed our stay I decided to overlook my previous thoughts. We had a wonderful time and would return.I do suggest that the sheets be upgraded. The one in our condo were pilly and rough.Thanks, Had a great time. |

Our bed was very uncomfortable, as well as the livingroom chairs, which had an overly soft cushion, and a mid high rise on the back. (resembles the feeling of sitting in a wheelbarrel). However, an easy fix. $50, a day for golf cart rental is pretty steep, I believe Boca grande quoted $20. Adam was pretty stuck up, images like his take away from the island resort as a whole... apparently traits like that come with the territory. other than that our stay was very plesant. Although the resort was full during our stay, you'd never know it. Our family of 4 felt like we had the beaches and pools to ourselves. Our kids - 10 & 13 - enjoyed the endless shelling and shark tooth collecting. We had wondrous encounters with rays, dolphins, and sea creatures we could not identify. A special thanks to Dan for an unforgettable discovery of Manatees at the dock. All the staff were helpful. We were especially grateful for the 4 ferry round trips included in the price. The island is paradise, but it is good to get off island now and then to avoid getting 'island fever' during our week - especially with kids. Overall - our 1st first visit to the PIR was an exceptionally good trip which exceeded our high expectations. If we could make only one suggestion it would be to find a way to cool the pools down just a little. The dips were not as refreshing as some might prefer. Other than that, we highly recommend Palm Island Resort as a quiet alternative to "the Land of the Mouse' up north in Orlando. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2009 Only and I repeat only negative comment regarding our last stay was the frustrating and lengthy amount of time my husband spent trying to have a flower arrangement (ordered ahead with local florist) delivered to our condo. It was to be a surprise for me on our arrival, however, apparently it was left at your holding area. After being told numerous times that the flowers were on their way, they did arrive.
