disappointment at Inn of the 7th Mtn

I made this resevation 2 days prior to staying there...asking for a room with a king bed. The reservationist said there was none available. At no time did I realize that I was not making a reservation thru the actual hotel. I also was never told tht we couldn't cancel the reservation without being charged.One reservationist said we'd have to pay the entire rental fee of nearly $400.00 when I called to cancel 24 hrs after making the reservation. She said that was your policy if we didn't cancel 15 days prior to the date of arrival. We asked her to have the manager call us ...he never did...we called 5 times and never talked to him. The reason we wanted to cancel was because we went up to the Inn of the 7th Mtn and found out only then at the front desk that our reservations were not on record with them. Also , they had exactly what we were looking for in a room at the same exact price. We felt we were forced into staying at this rental because the manager never returned our calls. I feel the better business bureau needs to hear about this shoddy company. I think they treat their customers terribly! The manager needs to take some customer service classes..which was my profession for many years. He obviously could care less about custoer service! I rate you

Deck was a mess. Same bathroom towel racks still falling off wall. No soap for showers

Water glass with water left on sink when we arrived.Table lamp faling apart, the other has no working light bulb.
