Need place to get hamburgers and FF (etc) besides the sit-down dining area. Rum Bay food and service very good. We particularly enjoyed the kayak to the hidden lake in spite of the heavy winds. We'll never go to Leverocks again. Terrible service with less than mediocre food. Water taxi was fun - especially the congeniality of the captain. Food and coffee way overpriced at Coconuts. |

We carry most of the things to the 3rd floor!!!!.The place was clean and with everything you need. We went on Sep 16 for a week. Rainy season but we have sunny days. there were no more than 10 people in the resort during the week. The beach was for ourselves. The food in the restaurant could be better. You need to bring food if you are staying for more than 3 days. The apts should have Free Wi Fi. When we were leaving we call the front desk for a pick up and they never told the driver. He helped us because he was dropping somebody else and he saw we were waiting. our stay was quiet and relaxing and that's what we wanted. |

Stayed for 1 days in October, 2011 i purchased a groupon to use for this trip, and it was a nice relaxing day trip. beaches were nice, with the exception of some large decaying fish on the property that seems to have been there for quite a few days, apparently there had been red tide, but the smell was awful. down at the shark tooth beach, no dead fish, very nice there. large variety of shells and shark teeth. the condo was nice and clean, will be bringing my own pillows next time as they were very flat and hard. golf cart was nice to have. we wanted to go out on the kyak which was part of the deal and when we got there, the lady said that she had nobody to let us get it, it was only 2pm on a Sunday and that we could come back in the morning and use it, but that we not good for us, so we did not get to use the kyak. also we were supposed to get a "wine and cheese basket", well it was not a basket and there was a nice bottle of wine in a bag along with a chunck of cheese in plastic wrap and also a handful of crakers in some plastic wrap- i would have not given that to a guest. otherwise a good value for the money, not just exactly as i had imagined it would be from the advertisement. but lovely, lovely place and so peaceful, we will go back. |

Stayed for 8 days in March, 2010 laid back, no noise, quiet peaceful, uncrowded - what we wanted:no night life, no discos, no casinos. long uncrowded beach but do beware the jellyfish. operationally, communication among staff could be better. minor issues, when we cked in our keys could not be found, our resort card and parking pass had wrong expiration dates on them. the activity sheet on the buletin board was 2 weeks old...for being what should be a "green" place, little or no emphasis on recycling anything. getting a newspaper can be difficult. they have free long distance calls- a perk, but only wireless internet access is at the restaurant area - could be a hassle - go figure! |

Stayed for 4 days in October, 2007 This has been our favorite unit for many years but the condition has deteriorated too much, especially the floors and the bathroom. The look of the bathroom places the unit in the budget motel class. This is unfortunate becasue it decreased substantially our value of what we paid for. I will not stay in this unit again until it is remodeled. I know your policy regarding chossing specific units but I will request more information on future units to know whether they have been remodeled. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2007 I have stayed here 4 times and the previous 3 times were great.But last year was not as fun for one they do not give as many car ferry passes.All the golf cart trails going to the beach were blocked off,so you have to walk a long ways to the the past years this was not a problem.If I would had knew this I would not had spent the extra $250 on a golf cart.The restaurant was to expensive and that it is the only one and only a few car ferry passes you do not have much choice.We even left a day early last year.This year we are going to Indian Rock Fl.I would return to Palms Island but they need to make some changes.Also the unit I stayed in had really old furniture not a big deal but for this price it should be nicer.I sugest a return customer discount and a referral discount.Palms Island will miss my $1300 plus $250 cart rental and over $300 drinks and food I spent cause I am spending somewhere else this year. |
