The storm had damaged some of the island but the crew had it cleaned up and drained as much as they could to make this a terrific place for a sunset wedding. Our accomodations were beautiful overlooking the ocean. We are definitely considering a longer stay on a vacation in 2013. Thank you all for the great work, cleanliness, and peaceful time! |

Stayed for 2 days in August, 2009 Going back to the early 1990s, We have stayed at Palm Island several times and have never been disappointed. THe condos are alway superb and well keep. THe store and Rum Bay are alway helpful and good food. In the early years, when our sons were younger, the childrens program was great. They still talk about the turtles and Fla. panther. We still laugh about the July 4th party where I and my younger son did the conga line and limbo dance. I highly recommend Palm Island for it quality, location,safety, and experience. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2009 Palm Island is heaven! We return to the same unit year after year; it's been beautifully renovated and feels like home. I would recommend asking if your unit has been updated before booking. The resort is a true paradise, quiet, secluded, no cars--the best kind of beach getaway. We bring our bikes to get around. We saw a manatee and dolphins right at the beach! Our kids love Palm Island--we have gone once a year for over ten years and plan to continue to go every year we can! We have found a particular unit that we love to stay in (no, I'm not sharing) that has been beautifully remodeled; we have found that some of the units are badly in need of upgrades; however, they are all clean. Palm Island has many special memories for us! |
